Ellen coughed while watching the two of her children play.

"Don't hurt yourselves" She said with a warm smile losing strength to even keep her eyes open.

All Ellen could see is the silhouette of her children so she does not know that one of her child is no longer moving.

Mina who is paralyze from head to toe, skin pale white and blood sipping out of her mouth, she looked at her brother who she promised her father she would protect

She giggle, Eyes getting blury the last thing she saw was the figure of her brother tickling her hand with a smile.

A simple game of tickle where you lose if you laugh, a game created by the siblings to forget the unending hunger they are feeling as no matter how much water they drunk and how full their belly feel the hunger never

Disappear

Playing with his sister's hand, Rina's smile loosen as he no longer hear the giggle of his sister.

His sister who is ticklish on the palm no longer react to his actions which Rina finds strange.

His focus on his sister's hand waver as he looked up to see her face. Pale as snow and lips bright red, her eyes closed.

Rina thought that his sister fell asleep so he tap on her nose but no reaction, he draw on her hand and still no reaction. he tried tickling her feet but the same responce.

Anxious he screams thinking it would surely wake his sister up, his throat dried up he looked at Mina's face but it still had that dull expression

"I think it's time for the both of you to go to bed"

Ellen said when she heard the scream thinking the two had a disagreement.

"Your father will surely arrive tomorrow with lots of food so sleep tight " Ellen said as she felt one of her child snuggle next to her.

"You don't need to endure any longer" she whispered to them in a Dearing voice, but the words aren't just for her children but for her as well.

"Mina are you not gonna sleep, what if you miss your father's arrival?" Ellen asked looking at the figure sitting in front of her.

Silence was all she heard so she asked again

"Are you not going to sleep, its bad for children to stay up this late."

Still no responce Ellen let her daughter be after saying a last warning.

"You should sleep early Mina its bad for your health"

Tears flowed at Rina's eyes as he slowly open them

The tomorrow his mother promised never came.

The loneliness he felt when his mother no longer answer his call and his sister's body that turned cold.

The corrosive smell of their corpse as he hug them both only seeking for warmth but only receiving the coldness of their corpse.

"..." Rina stand in silent in front of the villagers, his head bleeding and all four of his limbs shaking, dry tears on his cheeks he showed a pained expression.

His body slowly turning darker as the black liquid stick to his skin spreading at his body until he was swallowed by darkness.

Words echoed through his head, voice of an unknown creature telling him a simple order

"Accept me" the voice rang through his mind making the child scream in pain as the voice repeated the same order over and over again until his entire body morphed into something that is not human.

Identical to the statue at the altar, white thick fur that cover his entrire body, greenish eyes that is able to pierce through someone's facade and four long thin arms each having a snake head as a hand.

The bizzare creature roared and the elder scream in delight

"Our Lord had descended!" The old man exclaimed delighted while the others could only look at the creature in disbelief, unable to lift their heads paralyze by fear.

The man in black was dumbfounded after seeing the creature

"This is....are they idiots?!?" he grabbed a pendant from his pocket as he slowly approach the creature.

"You serve that creature?, are you bastards blind enough to serve that abomination!" He said rudely at the old man

The old man was enrage by the behavior of the man in black, he clench his fist as he asked his god.

"Our Lord!, please puni-

Before he could see anything the shadow of the rude man in black appeared in front of him as the two of them was sent flying when the god quickly strike them with his serpent arm.

Boom

Their body hit the wall and a spreading crack form in responce.

"Thank me as you still live" the man in black said shielding him from falling debris caused by the fallen wall.

"I would not!, your disrespect knows no bound" the old man said fuming with anger, dust covered his red face "Get away from me I was strike as well because I'm near you!" He yelled pushing the man away

"Are you serious?" The man asked his suit torn and bruises can be seen on his back

"Why would I tell my gratitude to the man who disrespect my Lord" the old man said trying to move but the unexpected event made him unable to stand.

"This is a monster, you bastard!" The man yelled before approaching the creature at the center of the altar.

"You should return!, Accept death"

The man in black exclaimed running towards the creature with his pendant tightly gripped on his hand

The creature tried attacking him with his four serpent arm but none hit the man as he rush towards the beast dodging the rampaging arms delivering a punch to the body.

Poof.

Nothing happened to the creature while the man had his hand embedded into the sharp white spike the creature has for a fur.

"Huh?" The man was left puzzled by what happened, he look at his bleeding fist dumbfounded

"Humans should know their place" the creature spoke as large centipedes starts to appear behind its thick fur.

The centipedes goes after the man in black trying to suffocate him as the centipedes coils around his entire body leaving only his lips visible.

"I'm giving you last one chance to return...urgh!"

"....."

The whole temple was silent until the elder spoke smile etched on his wrinkled face

"He's dead"

"Come!, help me up" The elder yelled but no one dared to move.

"Don't keep our Lord waiting!" He yelled glaring at the people until two unwilling volunteers approach him slowly while glancing at their Lord.

"Let's go to our Lord" The elder ordered the two and was met with their slow stuttering answer.

"Do we have to?, our Lord might be angry at us elder"

"Nonsense" The elder muttered as the three of them walked towards the creature until they are close enough that they can pick up the sweet fragrance coming from the creature, like rose and honey.

Thud

The elder fall on the floor kneeling in front of the creature, while the two that helped him knelt as well their whole body trembling.

"Our Lord we welcome your return" The elder said as he raised his head just to be sprayed by blood.

The person next to him had his head decapitated by one of the God's serpent arm, it was so fast that the only reason the elder was alerted was because of the spray of blood that hit his face.

"....." The elder's mind went blank as he look at his Lord with one of its snake hands carrying the decapitated head of the villager, slowly swallowing it.

"I demand sacrifice" their Lord voice out as his arm struck again killing the other person next to the elder.

"Our Lord!, w-we ask for your mercy" The elder put his head on the ground his whole body trembling.

"We will gather you sacrifices that you need so we beg you"

The Elder only realised it now that blood has touch him, that he is blinded by his faith.

The thing in front of him doesn't see them as followers, they must be like a slave on this creature's eyes.

"I will let half of you live so you shall bring me sacrifice once the sun has set" The creature spoke and the elder could only look up shocked by what he heard.

"Wait!" The elder called but it was too late.

The creature opened his white fur and thousand of large beetle and centipedes all came crawling out of his body.

The beetles and centipedes charged at the people that was unable to move due to fear and in the blink of an eye the clean altar were smudged with blood, its silent and calm atmosphere was broken by the screams of the dying people running away from the now cursed altar.

The centipedes wrap its prey using its long body until it dies of suffocation while the beetles tear the flesh of the people using its large mandibles.

"Our Lord!" The elder called but the creature ignore his plead

"why must you do this?!" The elder asked his voice shrunk by the screams of the people.

The elder's ears perked up as a voice of someone familiar, screamed in a bloody hoarse voice making almost every beetles and centipedes to halt from eating their meal.

It was Dreg, a head of a lady on his arm he screams tears dried on his face.

Dreg looked at his Lord full of bloodlust and charged at him wielding a knife.

The elder seeing it tried to block his son, he extend his arm and blocked Dreg's path

"No, Dreg you must not!'

Dreg controlled by bloodlust shove his father to the side as he screamed "Die, you bastard!" Stabbing his Lord with his knife.

In responce the creature strike him in the head with his serpent hand crushing his skull.

With the rush of adrenaline Dreg didn't fall quite easily, he pulled out his knife that was stuck on the thick fur of his lord and stab the creature in his serpent hand, the same hand that strike him in the head.

"You can't take anymore of my people!" He yelled already missing half of his face as Dreg slice off one of the creature's arm before he draw his last breath.

Thud

"Dreg!" The elder called crawling towards his son.

The elder embraced Dreg while crying whispering curse words "You idiot, why did you do such an act, why did you leave me quick like your brother..you two idiots"

"You did not Teach your son good manners" The creature spoke making the elder look up just to see the arm that Dreg sliced off have now healed

He bit his lips as he listened to the words of his Lord

"You people shall obey that is the only reason of your existence. To serve me your god"
