He has just completed his masters in management from one of the most reputed universities in India. He is a dream husband for many girls and dream son-in-law for many business class families. The only flaw in his personality is that he is a person with a traditional cultured view about family and relationships. Well, it is flaw according to modern thinkers and the girls mostly. His mother is afraid he will be taken advantage of because he is too emotional. And then the person who takes advantage of him is his grandmother, whom he loves and cares about the most in the family. She has promised a relative in the village that she will set up a marriage between their families and now her most favorite grandson has to do it for her. His dream of a fairy tale love gets shattered just like that. She was a hard working girl in her family. She has passed 12th grade with first division from the government school in the village. It was already decided that at the age of 20 she will be married and she will go to the city. So, everyone in the family said that she can do college at that time. Will he look like one of those actors in movies? I should perfect myself in cooking and learn how to respect elders, what if I embarrassed him in front of his family and relatives? I should take care of myself and not get any wound or scars while doing garden work or cooking on the stove, what if he finds me ugly? In the summer of year when she turned 20, her family received a call that people of boy's family are coming to see the girl and fix the marriage date and the boy is also coming. She felt like her dream is going to come true. She felt shy, self-conscious and dazed all the time. Finally, her dream of fairy tale love and the valiant prince is going to come true.

An Outstanding Boy

The 40th convocation ceremony of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB) is in progress. The auditorium is filled with students receiving their master's degree, reporters and family members.

The students are going to receive their master's degree in front of chief guest Chairman of famous company Maruti Suzuki group, Director of IIMB, Board members of the institute and members of the faculty.

The aisle which is assigned for students is also filled with excitement and sometimes occasional whistle sounds also emerge from the groups.

The graduates were cheered by their proud families too who are sitting in aisle assigned to family members and many of whom have made the trip to the city of Bangalore to capture the joyous moment.

Within the group of students, there is he sitting in middle but if someone moves his or her gaze on the group of students he will certainly stand out due to his proud and confident face and posture.

He is not extremely handsome like a model but there is a certain glow of intelligence and self-confidence which makes him stand out in the group of students.

Many family members of students and reporters are curious about him and were pointing at him time to time.

Some reporters discussed about him

"That boy really stands out in the group"

"He looks very confident as well. Probably he will be in top 20."

"If he is not in top 20, it will be disappointing of him."

"Yes... In that case, it will seem like he is faking all this confidence and proud look."

Many family members also while looking at their children, observed him and asked people around themselves

"Whose child is that? He looks very proud. He must be with some prominent background."

"Even if he is not from some big background, from his confidence it's possible he will become one in the future."

"Let us see how he has performed."

Today almost 500 students are receiving their Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree and he is one of them. Names of students are being called and they are receiving their degrees from the director of the institute. Reporters or hired photographers are clicking the photos. Parents or family members present and fellow students are cheering.

Then at last director of institute stood up and replaced the announcer and said "Now I will announce the result of top 20 including our top 10 gold medalists of this session. They will receive their degree and certificate from our chief guest."

Then the institute director took the list from the previous announcer and called the student at 20th position, then 19th and so on. A small introduction of student and his achievement will be given by the director while students went on the stage and received their degree and certificate from chief guest.

"Now our 3rd position holder and one of the gold medalist. She has shown her unmatched talent in using IT and social media for advertisement and growth for both startups and established businesses. Pride of our institute, Arushi Sharma! Please come on the stage to receive your degree and award certificate."

For the first time during the whole ceremony, his expression changed and there seems to be a bit of hurt and hopelessness in his gaze when he looked at the girl who stood up and walked toward the stage. The girl has a good height of about 5'10" and looks beautiful and smart. Her smile was captivating when she smiled from the stage toward her friends.

He was in a trance before a sneer from one of her girlfriend broke it "Some people might be regretting but alas! there is no medicine of regret."

"Some people really don't know their own place. They try to sell themselves higher and then even loose a chance to be in the market" Another girl jeered.

Another girl while trying to make him hear, sighed and said "Senior Aditya was really lucky. He got engaged to her before leaving the institute. He really got the best award in his last year."

He looked toward the group of her friends and smiled mockingly. Even he was not sure whether he was mocking them or himself. Within few moments his look of Pride and self-confidence was back on his face.

I am writing this keeping in mind a sweet love story of a naive and innocent girl and a proud arrogant yet emotional boy.

Setting is Indian traditional Hindu family and their interactions and conflicts with modern society.

This story seems like the story of a rich CEO and a girl from a humble family but it is different in many aspects. Please read and let me know how you feel.

Please provide your feedback and support. I am planning to release minimum 7 chapters per week for this.
