326 Flame God vs Fire Dragon

(Third Person POV)

Natsu rushed at Jason, setting his fist ablaze and rearing it back once again. 

Jason reared his own fist which was covered in his black flames. 

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!!" 

"Flame God's Fist!!!" 

The two of them swung their fists, clashing against each other as their flames erupted and caused a massive explosion of black and red-orange flames. It was strong enough to cause another massive shockwave which shattered the ground beneath them.

The intense heat and destructive power of this clash were enough to be felt in the stands. But due to the barrier, no harm was imminent. Also, the ground beneath the two fighters was more than sturdy as the barrier also affected the ground. It slowly restored the destroyed earth and reinforced it completely. 

As the flames dispersed, the two fighters were looking at each other, their fists still connected against each other. 

From the stands, Kagura shifted uncomfortably in her seat. Milliana looked at her with a concerned face. 

"You okay?" she asked her

Kagura nodded as she sweated slightly, "Those flames..." She said, "I...." 

She was feeling uneasy when she saw those flames. They reminded her of the despair she felt months ago. 

Back on the ground, Jason and Natsu faced each other still. 

Natsu smirked, "You're strong, Jason!!" He said, "I've always known it, now I get to experience it first-hand!!" 

Jason returned the smirk, "Is that so?" He said, "I'm more than just strong, Natsu." 

He then brought his fist back as he covered his foot in black flames, bringing it up as Natsu took a step back. 

"Flame God's Immolation Step!!" 

Jason brought his foot down, causing a massive wave of black flames to erupt in all directions from him. The black flames hit Natsu who was scorched, trying to cover his face from the flames. He was sent reeling back as he struggled to brace himself. 

As this happened, Jason lunged at Natsu and grabbed him by the shirt. In a quick motion, he flung Natsu up into the air, causing the crowd to gasp in surprise. They didn't expect the Salamander to be manhandled so easily. 

"Natsu is in the airrr!!!!" the announcer bellowed

Jason reared his head back as he charged up his flames on his mouth. As Natsu spun into the air, he noticed this. 

He then straightened himself out as he was in the middle of the air and reared his own head back, doing the same. 

Gray widened his eyes, "They're both gonna!!" He exclaimed

Igora smirked, "Interesting!" 

"Fire Dragon's Roar!!!" 

"Flame God's Bellow!!!" 

The two of them then released their vicious breath attacks at each other as they collided in the middle of the air. The flames clashed and struggled against each other momentarily before combusting and exploding in a massive explosion of flames. Normally, a Flame God Slayer's breath attack would overpower a Fire Dragon's breath attack due to its natural superiority. This was the testament of Natsu's power, canceling out his superior element. 

The combined power of the breath attacks was enough to cause a shockwave which shook the entire arena, barrier included. 

"WHOAAAAA!!!" The announcer bellowed, "Powerful attacks!!! This is the power of two high-level mages!!!" 

As Natsu fell onto the ground, he summoned flames on his feet and combusted them, sending him propelling towards Jason with tremendous speed as he was engulfed completely in his own flames. 

"Fire Dragon's Sword Horn!!!" 

He propelled against Jason, attempting to spear him with a headbutt. He however was met with a massive wall of black flames that Jason engulfed himself within. 

"Ghhhh!!!" Natsu grunted as she struggled to pierce the wall of black flames, "Damn!!!" 

Jason reached through his flames and grabbed Natsu's head. 

"You did well." Jason said, "Canceling out my Bellow. But...." 

"Flame God's Divine Hammer!" 

Jason brought down his fist at Natsu's head, hitting him with a devastating hammer punch that planted Natsu straight into the ground, creating a massive explosion of flames. Natsu's head was planted straight into the ground, with the intent of knocking him out. 

"Gahh!!" Natsu cried out 

"Natsu!" Happy exclaimed

"Is it over?!" the announcer said through the speaker, "Jason landed a direct and devastating hit on Natsu!!" 

Natsu then immediately got up and attempted to hit Jason with an uppercut, sending a stream of his own flames up. Jason stepped back and avoided the attack, waving his hands at Natsu as his black flames hit him. 

Jason's flames were able to burn through Natsu's proving their superiority over the dragon slayer as they hit Natsu and damaged him. 

"Shit!!" He cried out, "They burn." 

"A God Slayer's element is automatically superior." Jason said while he covered his arms in his flames, "But that doesn't always mean that a God Slayer will win against their Dragon Slayer counterpart. Magic power, experience, and other factors play a big role in the match-up. You're strong, Natsu, you have more experience than me when it comes to Fire-type attacks." 

Natsu looked at him as he waved his arm, forcing Jason's black flames away. His body was still battered up a bit due to the damage he suffered. Despite being damaged, technically, he wasn't all too hurt. 

"Oh yeah?" Natsu said, "My flames won't lose to yours!" 

Jason looked at him, "I know." I said, "I don't believe they'll lose. But that doesn't mean I'll make it easy for you. You see, Magic power does play a role on my flames' superiority over yours." 

Jason reared his right arm back, charging up a massive amount of black flames as he gave Natsu a serious look. 

"Flame God's...." 

Natsu had lunged at Jason, attempting to interrupt the attack, he charged up his own flames. 

"Like I'll let you!!" He growled

"Dragon Slayer Secret Art: "

Jason looked at him with surprise, hesitating in his own attack. Natsu reached him as his entire body was covered in his dragon flames. Everyone was surprised that Natsu was pulling out a Secret Art right off the bat. 

"Crimson Lotus: Fire Dragon's Fist!!!!" 

Natsu then began to rapidly punch Jason, who was shielded by his black flames. As he did so, his fists were covered in the flames, combusting with every impact causing several explosions. 

"Shit!" Jason muttered as he felt the power of the punches 

As Natsu continued the flurry of punches, he broke through the black flames and began to make contact with Jason, hitting him with devastating punches that combusted with explosions. 

Jason was then hit in the chin with a final and powerful uppercut that exploded him upwards into the air. 

"Whoooaaaaa!!!" The announcer bellowed, "Jason is sent flying into the air!!!" 

Everyone was cheering with excitement at the sudden turn of events. Natsu looked up into the air as Jason flew upwards, his face filled with slight burns. 

Jason then straightened himself up, his clothes slightly tattered and burned. 

"Tch." He said as he raised his arms

Suddenly, he gathered an immense amount of black flames into his arms as he brought them together. 

"Flame God's Arrogant Fire!!!!" 

He brought his arms down, sending a massive sphere of black flames at Natsu with tremendous speed. It was so fast that Natsu didn't have time to react, getting caught up in the attack. 

"Shiiiit!!!" Natsu said as he was engulfed in the explosion

The flames exploded violently as they raged upwards, sending immense heat into the air, and distorting the space slightly. 

Natsu, who was in the flames, buckled over in pain as he was being burned by the black flames of a god. Jason landed in front of this as he watched with a serious look on his body. 

'You should do something about this...' Jason thought to himself, 'Natsu...'

"Agghhhhh!!!" Natsu cried out

Everyone in the crowd was watching this with a bit of disbelief. They had watched Natsu hit Jason with one of his strongest moves just for Jason to tank it and return a powerful attack that engulfed him and burned him where he stood. 

"Natsu!" Lucy exclaimed from her seat

"Damn!" Gray said, "He can't eat those flames, can't he?" 

Igora shook her head, "I doubt it's possible. Despite being a Fire Dragon Slayer, he can't eat the superior flames of a Flame God Slayer. Jason, who admits to being inexperienced with that magic is capable of eating his flames....But he doesn't." Igora explained, "And not only that, he's highly resistant to the boy's flames by default. That said, I'm impressed the dragon boy is able to damage him slightly. He's truly something." 

Gray gritted his teeth, "Damn..." He said, "That's...." 

Back on the ground, Natsu was on his knees as Jason held his hands outwards. Jason was adding more flames and heat onto Natsu as he looked at him with a serious face. 

"You're gonna let out?" Jason asked, "I only used one God Slayer magic, aren't you interested in what the other two are about? Although, I used Gravity already...." 

Natsu looked at him through his black flames, giving him a frustrated glare, "I'm.....not....done...." He managed through the pain, "This....is nothing....." 

On the stands, Sabertooth's Twin Dragons were looking at this with hopeful faces. 

"Natsu-san!" Sting exclaimed, "Don't let him win! Not with flames!"

Rogue looked at Natsu, "That's right..." He said, "Beat him with what you're known for!" 

Jason smirked at he lifted his other arm, "I guess to finish you off, I'll use a Moon attack while you're being burned up." He said, "That'll be fine by me." 

On her seat, Igora widened her eyes in surprise. 

"He's going to do it?" Igora said, "Jason don't kill the boy!" 

Suddenly, the wall of flames that Natsu was engulfed in exploded with his red-orange flames, causing a massive shockwave that staggered Jason. 

"What the...." Jason said as he covered his face, "What's this?" 

He then felt a different element among the flames, a familiar element. He noticed that Natsu's magic power began to rise exponentially. 

From the stands, Laxus slightly smiled. 

"Heh.." He said, "You're going to use it, Natsu?" 

Natsu stood tall as he was engulfed in flames which crackled with lightning. 

"Lightning-Fire Dragon Mode" 

He gave Jason a serious look, "Your flames are strong..." He said, "Time to take this up a notch..." 

Jason smiled, "Oh?" He said, "This I like. I knew you'd think of something. I was expecting something much different. Like you using your emotions to fuel your flames or some shit like that. But that'll do. I don't mind it." 

Jason then waved his hands outwards as he released a massive aura of black flames that erupted around him, causing the ground to shake apart from being scorched. 

"You still think your flames will be enough?" Natsu asked as he readied himself, "Why don't you use your other magic?" 

Jason chuckled, "Oh, Natsu, Natsu, Natsu...Where's the flair?" Jason said as his flames grew much more intense, "You gotta set your heart ablaze!!!!" 

He then lunged at Natsu who also lunged at him. 

As they met each other, they punched each other in the face, both their attacks enhanced greatly by their elements. The clash caused a massive explosion of flames and lightning as it shook the ground tremendously. 

"OHHHH!!!" The announcer bellowed, "What is this?!?! Their clashing is powerful enough to shake this whole arena and the entire earth around it!!!" 

Jason and Natsu then engaged in several blows, hitting each other consecutively as their elements exploded outwards. 

Natsu's Lightning-Fire Dragon Mode was strong enough to push through Jason's flames and damage him. As this was the case, Jason's flames still held superior and Jason was damaging and burning Natsu more than Natsu was doing to him even with the lightning. 

"Tch!!" Natsu said as he elbowed Jason and staggered him, "Fuck!" 

"Lightning-Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!!!" 

He charged up fire and lightning into his fist as he reared it back, swinging at Jason's stomach and exploded right upon impact. This sent Jason flying backwards and hitting the ground hard. 

"A direct hit!!!" The announcer bellowed, "Is Jason out?!"

Jason immediately got up and braced himself as Natsu had charged him, dodging a punch and countering with an elbow of his own. 

"Gahhh!!!" Natsu exclaimed in pain as he staggered back, "Fuck you!!" 

Natsu then hit Jason with multiple rapid punches that hit him faster than he anticipated. The power of these attacks was enough to stagger Jason and even draw blood. 

"Fuck!" Jason said as he reeled back, "The lightning's speed buff?!"

Natsu then reared his head back as he charged up his breath attack. 

"Lightning-Fire Dragon's..."

Jason noticed this and had different plans. 

"No you don't..." He said as he swung his hand at him

"Amaterasu's Flare!!!" 

Suddenly, Natsu was hit with a volley of powerful black flame explosions that interrupted him out of his breath attack, sending him flying back. 

"Shit." Gray said, "Even with Laxus's lightning, he's still being overwhelmed. Talk about flame superiority." 

"He was simply unlucky." Igora said, "If the wheel didn't hit Flames, then this wouldn't have been happening. Although, he still has other magic..." 

Natsu landed hard on the ground as his body emitted smoke, Jason's attack was more than strong enough to damage him greatly. 

He struggled to get on his feet as he clutched his arm which was a bit scorched. He was still covered in flames and lightning. 

He took a step forward as his forehead bled. 

'Don't.' Natsu heard a voice in his head, 'The flames will overcome you at this rate.'

Natsu stopped and froze, the voice sounding a bit familiar. It was a bit distorted but the sound of the voice stopped him right in his tracks.

"What?" Natsu muttered under his breath

'The flames of a god will overwhelm you. That man is simply too strong.' the voice said, 'empty your flames and devour them. You'll be an empty vessel and will house those flames. Once you do, activate your magic and you'll see the rest....' 

Natsu was seriously confused by the voice. 

"What the hell..." He said as Jason took a step forward

Natsu looked at him, he saw nothing but an overwhelming aura of power in front of him. His Black Flames aside, Jason was exuding absolute power. 

"I..." Natsu said

'Trust me....' the voice spoke again, 'If you don't, you'll lose....'

Natsu's gut was telling him to trust the voice, something that surprised him. 

He then deactivated his mode, the flames and lightning disappearing. This shocked everyone who was watching. 

"What's this?" the announcer said, "Natsu's powerup that was giving Jason a bit of trouble, he deactivated it???" 

Gray looked at this with a scowl, "What the hell is he thinking!?!?" He exclaimed, "Jason's gonna punish that, obviously!!"

Igora nodded, "I wonder what he's planning...." He said

Jason, who was stepping forth, was looking at him with a raised eyebrow. 

"Hm..." He said, "Okay then...." 

He raised his arms as he gathered flames again. 

Natsu let out a breath as he reared himself, "Ohhhhhhh!!!" He said, "Yaaaahhh!!!!!" 

Suddenly, he let out a massive wave of flames as he yelled loudly. Everyone that was strong enough to notice, was shocked to see Natsu emptying out his magic and flames at an alarmingly rapid rate. 

Mavis and Makarov saw this. 

"What the hell is he doing????" Makarov said completely bewildered

Mavis was confused, "Natsu...." She said, "Why're you doing that?" 

Natsu was still emptying out his flames as Jason had prepared the same attack that had Natsu on the ground. 

'Let's see if your gamble works, Natsu..' Jason thought to himself, 'I hope it does, otherwise, you'll probably die....' 

"Flame God's Arrogant Fire!!!!" 

Jason launched the sphere of fire at Natsu, who was still emptying out his flames, and hit him hard, causing a massive explosion of black flames. 

Everyone watched this in shock, expecting this to be the sudden end. The flames raged and engulfed Natsu as he was being burned up by the black flames of a god. 

Suddenly, the flames ended up being siphoned into a single point; Natsu's mouth. 

Igora widened her eyes in shock, "I-Impossible!!!" She exclaimed

"Oi oi oi..." Gray said while sweating, "Is he gonna be okay???"

Jason watched as Natsu had completely devoured his flames. While everyone was shocked at this, Jason wasn't. He was well aware of the trick he had used, emptying out his magic power to produce a temporary vessel for flames he normally shouldn't be able to eat. 

Natsu stumbled slightly as his entire body was charred and burnt, a shocking sight. 

He then stopped himself as he straightened up.

He then stomped his foot on the ground as he was filled with overwhelming energy. 

"Ohhhhhhhhh!!!!" Natsu bellowed as his magic power rose, "This power!!!!" 

Jason watched as Natsu's body was engulfed in a mixture of red-orange flames and black flames. 

Everyone gasped in shock, not expecting this sight. 

"Whoaaaa!!!" the announcer said with surprise, "W-What is this????"

Natsu looked at Jason with a serious look as his entire body was covered in the new flames. 

"Flame Dragon God Mode" 

Jason looked at him, "I see..." He said, "So that's how it is..." 

Suddenly, Natsu disappeared from where he was standing. 

Jason blinked and suddenly, Natsu was in front of him with his fist reared back. 

"Huh?" Jason said with surprise

"Ohhhh!!!" Natsu bellowed

"Flame Dragon God's Superior Fist!!!!!" 

Natsu struck Jason with a devastating punch straight in his chest, causing a massive explosion of black and red-orange flames. The attack sent Jason flying straight into the barrier across the arena, bouncing off of it and hitting the ground hard. 

His entire body was charred, his clothes tattered, and he was bleeding a lot as he struggled to get up to his knees. 

"Jason got burned!?" Igora exclaimed, "He's still in Flame God Slayer...!!!" 

Jason looked up at Natsu as blood poured out from his forehead, "Damn..." He said, "Now that's a power-up..."

Natsu stood there as his expression stayed in a serious one. 

"Come." He said seriously, 

"I'll burn you to a crisp."
