41 4.1 Appear

Kuina stared at Kali as if she was stupid. Creating your own guild, it was something that hasn't been done by anyone in decades. Yet this person who had been abandoned by her guild was trying to do that? Crazy.

"Why are you looking at me like that? You know I'm not just magic right? I use my brain too." Kali said.

"Ah…that's not it." Kuina said dazedly. "Your answer just caught me by surprise, that's all."

"True, not many people would even think about starting a guild. But well, it's just a dream of mine." Kali said with a yawn. "Also, shouldn't you be attacking me?"

"Eh?"

"You're after my bounty aren't you? The ten million gold on my head."

"Oh yeah…" Kuina said as she drew her blade.

Right at the moment, the door of the bar was kicked down by a group of random people. From the way they dressed, they seemed to be bandits that were…

"I HEARD THAT A WIZARD WORTH TEN MILLION GOLD IS HERE! WHERE IS SHE?" a man with a big stomach said.

…after her bounty.

Kali tilted her head, 'Would that make them bounty hunters instead?'

"I'm right here." Kali said with a grin. "Did you guys need something-"

But before Kali could finish her words, a large fireball was directed towards her.

With a swipe of her hand, the fireball dissipated.

"Jeez, where are people's respects nowadays? At least let me finish talking." Kali muttered.

The group of bounty hunters started to feel a bit scared. The fireball that was sent by their strongest bounty hunter and it was also their strongest attack.

Suddenly, they felt chills behind them.

"That's right, that magic of yours is weak." Kali said with a wide grin. "Cryo Magic, Freeze."

Instantly, the group of bandits were turned into popsicles. The temperature in the bar also seemed to drop significantly.

"When did villains get so weak?"

"They're not weak." Kuina said as she hopped off the chair. "You're just too strong."

"Well, that's one way to put it. So what will you do now?" Kali asked Kuina. "Will you give up on the bounty or still come for me?"

Kuina sighed and sheathed her blade.

"I can't beat you, so I'll give up for now.

Kali smiled.

"I like that answer out of you. Then let's go, we have places to be at."

"Huh? I'm coming with you?"

"Yeah, of course."

"But aren't you worried that I might stab you in the back?"

"If someone in this world was able to stab me in the back, then that would mean I have truly become stronger. Now let's go, quit talking."

"W-wait, where will we be going?"

"Akane Resort."

After hours of traveling and Kuina non-stop complaining about how tired she was and how there was transportation for this. But Kali ignored the complaints and kept walking without breaking a sweat.

And finally, they reached their destination. Akane Resort is one of the most popular tourist spots in Fiore. Among its many attractions is the giant amusement park, the five star hotel and the huge sandy beach adjacent to the sea. The hotel houses a casino in its basement where visitors can enjoy themselves.

A perfect place for vacation.

"This is amazing!" Kuina exclaimed with sparkling eyes. "But isn't this place too popular? You're basically like a rogue wizard now, people are going to recognize you, and come after you."

"Before you wanted to kill me, now you're worried for me?" Kali laughed. "Don't worry, go relax, and have some fun."

Without saying anything, Kuina walked away not wanting anything to do with Kali anymore. She was infuriating to deal with.

Kali grinned as she put on her hood.

"Now then, let's go have some fun."

Somewhere in the Akane Resort…

Erza was gambling with Lucy. Ever since she started playing, she hasn't lost since, she was on a roll. Lucy sat beside her and watched Erza with admiration.

Suddenly, there was a change of dealers. Erza looked up to see who it was and her eyes widened. Her body started trembling slightly, it couldn't be…

"Sho?" Erza asked. "Is that you? You were safe?"

Sho flashed a grin. "It's been a while Erza-neesan. Since you're on a roll today, let's play a special game. A game where your life's on the line."

Suddenly, the lights went dark as Sho threw the cards in the air. When the lights came back on, the people surrounding Lucy and Erza disappeared.

"Huh?" Lucy muttered. "Where did everyone go?"

"Right here!" Sho exclaimed as he threw the cards on the floor. Inside the cards were the people that disappeared. They were screaming for help and asking to let them out.

Lucy's eyes widened in horror.

"What the…"

"Magic…?"

Suddenly, a strange magic circle appeared under Lucy as a rope tied her up and stopped her from enabling her to move.

Another familiar figure appeared before Erza.

"Milliana? You can use magic too?"

"How have you been, Er-chan?" Milliana asked as she licked her paw.

"Let go of Lucy, she's my friend!"

"Hmm, but we were once friends too, remember?" Milliana asked. "That is until you betrayed us."

"That's right." Sho said. "And we've brought Wally and Simon here. The us you remembered are long gone. You betrayed us, now you must accept the changes."

Erza's eyes widened in shock.

"You all can use magic?"

"Of course we can." Wally said. "We're here to take you back home, and if you don't do what I say. Then…"

Wally's arm transformed into a gun and pointed it at Lucy. He got ready to shoot.

"No!" Erza exclaimed as she tried to block the shot from hitting Lucy.

Golden light appeared on his hand as a laser beam was headed towards Erza's back. But before it could land, a figure suddenly appeared behind her, and blocked the shot.

Erza widened her eyes as the figure's hood slightly moved down due to the use of magic. A pair of golden eyes with symbols that she could never forget met her own eyes.

Erza smiled.

'Kali, you're here.'
