67 Chapter 67 : Times have changed!!

"Jellal truly stands as the youngest among the Ten Wizard Saints in history, capable even of penetrating each other's magic," Ultear complimented Jellal.

"I hope he doesn't intend to intervene, or else I won't hesitate to eliminate him."

"Let's return. The magic council's discussions are in disarray. Before my plan reaches fruition, we need to handle these individuals with caution. Otherwise, finding such few magic council members later will prove challenging," Jellal remarked, expressing a pro-Kyros sentiment. He believed in the principle of the strong dominating the weak, seeing the Magic Council as a flawed organization where the weak ruled over the strong.

"The members of the council are truly incompetent!" Ultear couldn't help but chuckle upon hearing Jellal's assessment. Having served as a magic councilor for several years, she too recognized the inefficiency of many members.

"Yajima! When facing off against criminals, you should show your capabilities!" one of the councilors exclaimed.

"Yes! You should also call healers for us and apprehend magic criminals!"

"Kyros, during the recent attack, you deliberately avoided confrontation and privately contacted Makarov. What are your intentions?" accusations flew as Kyros and Makarov departed.

The councilors knew that the destruction of the magic council headquarters would require accountability. Some were willing to shift blame to Yajima due to the close relationship between Yajima and Makarov.

Yajima sneered in disdain. "Still trying to avoid responsibility at this stage? You've been councilors for so long, yet you act like fools."

"There's no time to evade responsibility. Our next course of action must be considered." another councillor said.

"What's the plan?'

'Issue a warrant! We must apprehend Makarov and Kyros!" a councilor declared, drawing incredulous looks from the others.

Who is goig to arrest that monster? It's better to quit Magic Council.

As tensions rose, Jellal and Ultear arrived together. Despite their disheveled appearance, their presence alone intimidated Kyros's accusers.

"Siegrain and Ultear, why are you here now? Where were you when Kyros was rampaging earlier?!" Michello accused, pointing at Jellal and Ultear.

Jellal raised his hands in a gesture of helplessness. "You've misunderstood, Mr. Michello. I was merely delayed by unforeseen circumstances. I couldn't make it in time."

"And you, Ultear?" Belno inquired.

Ultear smiled wryly. "I had to take a personal day, didn't I? Every woman experiences discomfort during certain times of the month. Should I have forced myself to face that monsters instead?"

The tension in the room shifted as Jellal and Ultear's explanations diffused some of the hostility directed towards Kyros.

Michello's voice boomed across the room as he addressed Jella, "Siegrain, you are a member of the Ten Wizard Saints, I implore you to head to Kyros and Makarov immediately. No, better yet, capture all of the Fairy Tail members and detain everyone!"

Furrowing his brows, Jellal continued, "Mr. Michello, please show some respect. I am not your subordinate. While it's true I am a member of the Ten Wizard Saints, Fairy Tail also boasts its own Wizard Saint, with qualifications arguably higher than mine."

"And within the ranks of Fairy Tail, we have numerous mages renowned for their strength and reputation."

"I have a general understanding of the situation. The Magic Council finds itself in this state due to the negligence of several Councilors."

"You dare defy us?!"

Ultear interjected with a soothing tone, "Let's calm down, shall we? This situation is not irreparable. I will begin by restoring the Magic Council."

With a wave of her hand, Ultear emanated a powerful aura of magic, channeling her abilities.

The ruins of the Magic Council shimmered as if time itself were rewinding. Cracks in the ground smoothed over, vegetation regrew, and even the colossal imprint left by Kyros's palm vanished without a trace.

"This...is Time Reversal Magic," Org recognized Ultear's spell.

Time Reversal Magic was no secret, but its mastery was rare and said to come with great personal cost.

After a brief moment, the Magic Council stood restored to its former glory, a testament to Ultear's incredible power.

Ultear staggered slightly, the strain of such a massive restoration taking its toll even on her formidable abilities.

"Impressive!"

"Back to normal!"

"Miss Ultear's magic is beyond compare!" murmured the members of the Rune knights in awe.

Org spoke up, "Now, let us discuss how to contain this situation. If news of this incident spreads, the Magic Council's reputation will suffer greatly."

As the most formidable authority in the Ishgar continent, the Magic Council being nearly overthrown by a member of a regular guild would be a grave embarrassment if word got out.

Furthermore, it raised concerns of potential actions by dark guilds.

Most troubling was the discovery that within their own jurisdiction, there existed a force capable of threatening the very existence of the Magic Council.

Although the Magic Council possesses the ultimate weapon known as the "Etherion," capable of intimidating the entire continent, its destructive potential is simply too overwhelming.

There seems to be no way to counter the Mage Guild's influence in the city.

Individual power now surpasses that of collective strength, a concept previously unimaginable to them, signaling a shift in the times.

Fiore's Northeast Oak City

Phantom Lord Guild Headquarters

"Guild Master! All guild members have been summoned!" reported one member to Phantom Lord Guild Master Jose.

Upon hearing this, Jose lifted his head slowly. Thousands of mages were densely packed within the halls of the Phantom Lord Guild Headquarters.

A fierce determination gleamed in Jose's eyes, accompanied by a sly smile creeping onto his face. "Very well! Let's proceed! Our target: Fairy Tail! This time, I shall ensure that wretched Fairy Tail vanishes without a trace!"
