336. Eclipse Plan

Right at midnight, the Eclipse Gate finally opens as a Moon Eclipse happens. The evacuation proceeded well with all Mages' help. They all worked together with the King's order and Jura led them with Hibiki's help to connect him with everyone.

Then as future Lucy said, Dragons start coming out of the gate. The first Dragon that comes out is a Dragon they all know, Zirconis. It makes Ben confuses because he thought that what future Lucy meant by the Dragon he knows is another Dragon.

But he can't just stay still because of his confusion because Zirconis suddenly roars. It's just a normal roar, not a Dragon Roar spell, but it's a Dragon's Roar nonetheless. Just the loud voice of that roar is enough to send a shockwave all over the city and destroys nearby buildings.

Ben protects the others who are right beside the gate from the shockwave. None of them get hurt because of Ben's protection. But they are very surprised by the power of a real Dragon that can be felt just by roaring.

3 more Dragons come out after Zirconis, but they all can see many Dragons are trying to pass through the gate. Then, the 5th Dragon comes out, and it's a Dragon that Ben knows, Atlas Flame. With Atlas Flame's appearance, Ben decides that it's enough now.

So he moves to the front of the gate and takes a very deep breath. "I don't need any of you, 5 are enough, so stay on your time. SUN GOD'S BELLOW!"

Instead of his Sun Dragon's Roar, Ben uses Sun God's Bellow. Even if it's not as effective against Dragons as his Dragon Slayer magic, it is more powerful. He just needs to push the Dragons back from the Eclipse Gate, and he succeeds.

Lucy then closes the Gate using the 12 Zodiac Keys to not let the other Dragons come out. Their actions make the Dragons realize their presence though. Ben has masked their presence before, but there's no way he can keep hiding them after doing all those things.

So before the Dragons start attacking them, Ben teleports all of them away from the castle. They teleport to a rooftop of a building far away from the castle. Now they can see 5 massive Dragons beside the castle that gets half destroyed.

"Lucy, Lucy 2, Yukino, you guys go to meet the others and help them. Bella, go with them, I can't protect you while fighting Dragons. Focus on staying alive, leave the Dragons to us Dragon Slayers," says Ben before taking Natsu away.

Ben grabs Natsu's scarf and flashes toward the Dragons like a comet. "Natsu, take care of that firey guy. You are the Fire Dragon King's son, right? So a normal fire dragon shouldn't be a problem for you. Just don't kill him, not like you can do that anyway."

"WHAT'D YOU SAY? I CAN KILL ANY DRAGON I WANT. JUST SEE! I WILL BEAT HIM UP EVEN THOUGH I CAN KILL HIM," shouts Natsu angrily.

Ben smirks and throws Natsu to Atlas Flame who is still near the Gate. Natsu crashes into Atlas but the impact is small. Ben didn't throw him too hard because he will get injured, so Ben just used enough force to make Natsu reaches Atlas.

Atlas's attention is on Natsu who is clinging to his back. It's proceeding as Ben planned, so he can focus on the remaining 4 Dragons now. This won't be easy even though there are only 4 Dragons left.

He knows one of them, Zirconis, a Jade Dragon that he saw as a spirit because of Wendy's spell. Then there is a Dragon with swirl-patterned scales, a purple Dragon with curved scissor-like spines on its chin & forehead, and a Dragon that looks like it's made of stone and doesn't have any fangs, its teeth are flat & thick.

Ben gets ready to fight them while waiting for the other Dragon Slayers to arrive. But then he feels a familiar magic power, Zeref's magic power. It moves very fast from afar and then climbs onto the Dragon with swirl-patterned scales.

"It's fewer than I hoped for, but this should be enough," says a mysterious man's voice from the back of the Dragon.

Ben realizes that this man is the other time traveler besides Lucy. He is just about to move to the back of that Dragon to see who the person is. But then the Dragon suddenly flies away with the man on its back.

"HAHAHA, THIS ERA IS MINE NOW. I JUST NEED TO REMOVE ONE PERSON AND IT WILL BE SECURED," shouts the person like a maniac.

Ben gets a glimpse of that person's face because he also looks at Ben while standing on the flying Dragon. It's a rather familiar face, but Ben can't recognize him yet.

"So he is the future Rogue, huh? He changes a lot," says Ben while frowning.

Ben is about to chase Rogue again, but suddenly the Purple Dragon attacks him with a stomp attack. The other 2 remaining Dragons also start attacking him. These 3 Dragons are just attacking him using physical attacks, but they are Dragons, so their physical attacks are no joke.

The strange thing is, their attacks are coordinated as if they've fought together a few times. Their gazes also look strange, so Ben asks Quorra to analyze them. Ben evades their attacks with his fast speed while Quorra analyzes them.

[Analyzing complete! Finding a sign of mind control. The Dragons' minds don't get taken over, but it's highly suspected that they are following commands. Future Rogue is the suspected controller.]

"Is that so? Then I really can't let him go now," says Ben while looking at Future Rogue who has gone quite far now.

He sees the Dragon that Future Rogue rides releasing many big eggs. The eggs fall on the city where the Mages are gathering. Then they hatch and many Draconian creatures come out of the eggs.

"Damn, those things are dangerous, I need to move now. But I can't just leave these Dragons too," says Ben while moving around to evade the Dragons' attacks.

"Leave them to us," says Laxus who finally arrives.

He brings along Wendy and Gajeel with him too. Ben is worried about letting Wendy fight Dragons, but she is also an adult now. So he can't keep protecting her because she isn't a bird in a cage.

"Alright, just focus on staying alive, don't push yourself too much," says Ben before he flashes to the place that gets attacked by the mini-Dracos.

Laxus, Gajeel, & Wendy then look at the 3 Dragons. The 3 Dragons are trying to chase Ben, but then they get attacked by Laxus. He strikes 3 massive lightning from the sky at them. Of course, he uses his Dragon Slayer Magic, so his attacks affect the Dragons and make their attention shift to him.

"None of you will leave this place, you damn Lizards," says Laxus to make the Dragons angry.

His taunt works and they start attacking the Dragon Slayers. Laxus & co fight back and the battle of 3 Dragons against 3 Dragon Slayers starts. It will be a difficult battle for Laxus, Gajeel, & Wendy, but they need to get through this to get stronger.

Meanwhile, Ben arrives at where the mini-Dracos are. The Mages are fighting them, but these mini-Dracos are stronger than average Mages. Also, without Dragon Slayer Magic, they can't inflict significant damage on these things.

The only ones who can fight them well are Sting & Rogue. Ben is suspicious of this Rogue because his future self might've done something. But Ben leaves him be for now and focuses on stopping the mini-Draco, then stopping the future Rogue.

Ben makes 7 clones and sends them to attack the mini-Dracos. His clones defeat the mini-Dracos quite easily using Sun Dragon Slayer Magic. Even if they are clones, they are still stronger than most Mages, and maybe they are on par with S-Class Mages already.

Seeing his clones taking care of the mini-Dracos without any problem, Ben decides to chase future Rogue. He looks at the flying Dragon and flashes there using his super-fast speed. Ben arrives there almost instantly and crashes onto the flying Dragon's left body.

The crash pushes the massive Dragon far to the right. It even lets out a cry of pain because the crash is very strong. Ben also coats himself with his Sun Dragon's solar energy which is very strong and hot.

This Dragon's scales are also very hard though, so Ben also gets injured a bit. But with his vitality, Ben's injury gets healed immediately and he can climb onto the Dragon's back with full health. He looks at the future Rogue that seems very surprised seeing him there this fast.

Ben cracks his neck and says, "I don't know what you're planning, but it's over now."
