28 28. Magic School Teaching

Currently, Ben is having a job again with his team. Their job is simple, it is teaching the basics of magic to children in Clover Town's Magic School for kids because their usual teacher is absent. But it looks strange because they are still children too.

Ben is older than the students, but he's just 12 y.o, so it's not so different. The oldest student is 10 y.o, just 2 years younger than Ben. It's like they train magic together with the students rather than teaching magic as teachers.

Luckily the job becomes easier because of that. They're around the same age, so it becomes easier to talk with those children.

"Alright you guys, did you want to be able to use cool magic like us?"-Ben grin and make simple fire magic in his hand

The children are getting excited, then Wendy uses simple wind magic too. Ben even asks Carla & Bella to fly, so the children will get more excited. It works really well, so Team Ben start the teaching.

They teach the children all basic things from Ethernano & magic power. Team Ben focuses on teaching them how to use Magic power as fuel for their magic.

These children have chosen the magic that they want to learn, so they try it immediately with Ben watching & correcting them.

Ben scans the process when the children try to use their magic for the first time. It can help him find their mistake, and it might be useful to scan children using magic for the first time. But suddenly a boy shout loudly while trying to use his magic.

"HAAAAA!"-Boy 1

"Don't scream and getting too worked up, calm down! Your shout will disturb your friends. What you need is concentration, so try to calm down and feel it. Screaming now will only make you can't feel the magic power."-Ben

"A-alright."-Boy 1 look around and see his friends are looking at him angrily

"Hehehe, sorry sorry."-Boy 1

They continue their training, and Ben's thought is right. Watching children use magic for the first time really helps. He has found some newbie errors that he made sometimes.

Wendy also finds some mistakes too, so it really helps them. She also find some friends around her age here. This is also one of the reasons Ben & Roubaul choose this job so that Wendy will have some friends her age.

They finished the lesson at noon with some children who have touched the basics already. Some haven't been able to do anything, but it's normal, it's still the first day after all.

After finishing the class, Team Ben goes to the Headmaster's room for a report. They report to the old bald headmaster with full detail.

"You guys show the better result in a day than the usual teacher that taught them for 2 weeks now."-Headmaster

"I think it's because the teacher can't focus on teaching them because they keep asking to play or asking unnecessary things. My advice is for the teacher to change their method of handling the children. They need to show that learning magic is fun, not hard and complicated."-Ben

Ben starts to list the children's complaints about their usual lesson. He have asked the children about this, and they easily told him.

But Ben doesn't just tell the Headmaster of the children's complaints, he gives some solutions for the problems too. This makes the Headmaster surprised by his thorough analysis.

Of course Ben can find a lot of solutions for the problems, he has A.I Chip to help him. Not only that, he has taught Wendy for 2 years, and the cats for almost 1 year now, so it gave him some experience.

"Thank you for all the advice, I will pass it to the teacher. But, I also have an offer for you."-Headmaster

"What is it?"-Ben

"How if you teach regularly in here? Ah, of course not every day like the regular teacher. I mean you can teach every once in a while based on your schedule."-Headmaster

"Hmm, regularly, huh?"-Ben

Ben ponders about it, then he looks at Wendy that seems happy. She's happy because she can meet her new friends if they come here regularly. Ben understands this and smiles, it's not a bad offer.

"Alright, we will teach every Monday from now on."-Ben

"Hahaha, that's good. The children really like you, so they will learn more seriously from now on."-Headmaster

Ben decides to take this as a regular job because Wendy seems to like it. It's also not dangerous, so he can take it with his team. He's sure Roubaul will have the same opinion with him at this.

After finishing everything, Team Ben return to their guild. They didn't explore the town because they have done it in the past.

There's nothing unusual on their way back to the guild. They report to Roubaul, and just like Ben's prediction, the old man agrees with the plan to teach at that school regularly.

"Well, it's good that you have some friends your age now, Wendy. But don't forget your job to teach them about magic."-Roubaul

"Yes, I will teach them a lot about magic."-Wendy

"Alright, now you also need to train harder too. You don't want to be surpassed by the ones that you taught right?"-Roubaul

"Yes."-Wendy

After Roubaul agrees to the regular job, Wendy runs off to the training ground with Carla. Bella also tugging Ben to train her magic, so Ben can only follow her demand.

Ben trains the girls' magic and evaluates their mistakes. He trains the 3 of them until the sky turns dark, they're in high spirit after teaching those kids after all.

At night before he sleeps, Ben continues his research on the method to raise his magic's temperature with lower MP. He read the books that he has bought to learn more about temperature, fire, light, the sun itself, and everything that he might need.

With A.I Chip's help, Ben can learn many books in a short time. He can finish 10 books just in a few hours before he sleeps.

'Hmm, all these books only touch the surface of all my needed knowledge. Maybe I need to go to a big town or even the capital. There must be more books with deeper knowledge there.'-Ben

Ben decides to take the next lone job in big towns, or the capital. The next day, he asks Roubaul to find a job in a big town for his next lone job. Roubaul agrees because he knows Ben is thirst for knowledge, and it's good for him.

After talking with Roubaul, Ben trains with the girls again. He train some normal fire and light magic to understand more about fire & light. Too bad that there isn't plasma magic in his collection, so he uses his magic to learn it.

There is an element that the sun has and he wants to train gravity. However, he decide to improve his fire, light, and plasma first. He will train gravity after reaching a rather good mastery of fire, light, & plasma.

When Ben tries some fire spells, he finds some interesting things. Some fire spells have different colors from normal fire, and these colors represent different properties.

He finds a blue fire that has cold properties, or a yellow fire that smells like fart. These fires are parts of Rainbow Fire Magic, but Ben only has these 2 for now.

"Hmm, cold fire and smelly fire, very illogical and strange. But this is magic, so anything can be done. It seems my logical thinking has limiting me too sometimes. Magic is based on imagination, and logic will limit it."-Ben

Ben has tried to change his logic from a normal human to a mage with magic since he became a mage. But it's not that easy to change 25 years of life experience. Some of that logic is still in his brain.

Fire is hot, that's his logic, so finding a cold fire is really strange for him, and he can't understand that. Even now, he still tries to find the logical reason behind it even if he knows that it's illogical.

Ben knew that his logical thinking is good for his progress. But it's also limiting his potential to grow further. His logic makes him walk on a straight path, but he doesn't realize that there are many paths other than his path.

However, this is his way, his path to grow. He will think out of the box from now on, but he will still have his logic. Everyone is different and has their own way. So Ben will learn with his way, but he'll be open to other ways.

'A.I Chip, analyze these strange fires and try to find why they have those properties.'-Ben

[Understood.]

'If I can research these fires, maybe I can integrate them with my Sun Dragon's Fire Magic. Maybe I'll be able to create a new fire with good property. There are many things that I can think of, magic sure is interesting.'-Ben
