17 17. Training New Magic

After dinner, Ben use A.I Chip to scan the spell books that he have bought. With more samples, it will be easier to make his new spells. A.I Chip work using data, so Ben need to collect them. With more data, A.I Chip can make better spells, or improve his own spells.

'You're really my lucky charm, A.I Chip.'-Ben

[Glad that you understand it.]

'..... You're a lucky charm, but you sure are irritating sometime.'-Ben

[A.I Chip is personalized computer A.I system, so my personality is actually yours and made to be compatible with you. So the irritating side is learnt from you.]

'..... Let's just continue our work, shall we?'-Ben

Ben is irritated, but at least he don't have a boring robotic assistance. He leave the thought and continue to scan the spell books. He can't scan all the books tonight, and can only scan 20. He need to scan every page to get full data after all, that's why it will take time.

Ben continue to scan at the next day and focus on it. He also get Roubaul's spell collection that have been gathered in one book. Surprisingly, the book is only the size of normal thick book, unlike the previous book that he gave to Ben.

"I thought it will be very thick again."-Ben

"Well, i don't have that many spells actually, because i was more focused on the knowledge of magic itself. Without too many spells to learn, i can improve my existing spells a lot."-Roubaul

"That's alright. Your improvement method on magic spells are better than the spells itself."-Ben grin

"I know you will think like that."-Roubaul smile

Ben take the book and leave to continue his scanning. He finally finish to scan every book at night, including the book from Roubaul. A.I Chip process the data and store them in database, but didn't transfer it to Ben's brain.

Ben had realized that he doesn't need to take everything that A.I Chip have. He just need to know the important stuffs, and let A.I Chip handle the details. He can always access the data from A.I Chip everytime he need it after all.

'A.I Chip, try to formulate a defensive spell for AOE attack.'-Ben

[Understood. Task time estimation: 12 hours.]

'Alright, let's check it tomorrow.'-Ben

The next day, Ben decide to check on the list of spells that have been scanned by A.I Chip. He try to find an interesting spell that he might want to learn. He scroll through the spells and read their description.

"Hmm, transformation magic. It's a common magic, but it seem to be very useful, and can be used in many situation. There are 3 stages: basic, intermediate, and advance. Okay, let's learn it."-Ben

Ben decide to learn transformation magic while waiting for A.I Chip to finish the new spell. Transformation magic will be useful in many situation, especially at infiltration job. He can also use it to fool his opponent if needed.

There is an even more advanced level of Transformation magic, which known as Take Over magic. However, Ben didn't plan to reach that level. He plan to learn this magic up to advance level, but won't learn Take Over.

Take Over need someone to understand the creature they want to transform into. It will also make the user able to use the creature's magic. Normal advance transformation just change the appearance and give physical trait, not magical trait.

So Take Over Magic is for those who want to specialize in transformation magic. However, Ben have his own magic, so he doesn't need magical creatures magic. What he need is the physical transformation for many purpose in jobs.

"Bella, go play with Wendy & Carla, okay? I want to try a new magic."-Ben

"Okay."-Bella go to play with Wendy & Carla on the side

Ben read through the spell information and it's pretty simple for the basic. Ben try it, but fail on his first attempt. He try again, and finally succeed in his 3rd attempt. He is still on basic level, so it's not that hard, and he understand it in 2 tries.

"Hmm, basic level just change my appearance, and didn't change clothes or voice. Intermediate can change clothes & voice. Advance can change all physical trait to be exactly the same as what i transform into."-Ben

Ben currently transform into Roubaul, but his clothes & voice didn't change. Ben then try to transform into a bull, and the only thing that change is his skin. He is not at big as a bull, and he still stand on 2 legs. He is basically a demi-human-bull, with the size of a 12 y.o.

"It's like wearing a bull skin in a game."-Ben sweatdrop

"Strange bull!"-Bella

"You look like a monster."-Carla

"Hihihihi."-Wendy

"These naughty kids."-Ben have a tickmark, but he ignore them

Ben keep doing the transformation magic and try to reach intermediate level. It's not as easy as the basic level, but it's not that hard either. Ben succeed to reach intermediate level after 20 tries, it's not that bad.

Ben can transform into Roubaul, complete with the clothes & voice. But when he transform into a bull, he is still a humanoid bull. Altough his body is big and he don't have clothes now.

"It seem the intermediate level can't transform me to have 4 legs like bull, so it become a humanoid bull, but the size is that of a bull. Hmm, i look like a minotaur now."-Ben

Ben keep trying to increase his mastery and reach advance level. But it is not as easy as from beginner to intermediate. However, he's lucky that A.I Chip can do some operation at once. A.I Chip scan his transformation and identify his mistake, make it easier to improve. After many times of trial, Ben succeed to become a real bull in 1 hour.

"Ben bull!"-Bella

"Amazing, you really look like a bull now."-Wendy

"Ooh, this is great, but also uncomfortable. Human is a 2 legs creature after all. I need to get used to this."-Ben

Ben try to walk around with his 4 legs to get used on the feeling. But suddenly, the 3 girls jump on his back and ride the bull.

""BULL, GO!""-Girls

"OI!"-Ben have a tickmark

Ben is a little pissed, so he decide to prank them. He walk faster and then run wildly like a real bull.

""KYAA!""-Girls

The girls hold onto him tightly, so they won't fall. Ben finally stop after 5 minutes, and the girls get down dizzily before falling on the grass.

"Hehehe, you shouldn't mess with a bull."-Ben

Ben have gotten use a little to being 4 legs creature. Now he want to try being a flying creature. Ben transform into an eagle, then he try to fly with his wings. However, it's not that easy to fly even when he have wings. Ben keep trying to fly, and succeed after 5 minutes.

"Hmm? It's easier than i thought. Once i get the feeling, flying become very easy."-Ben

Ben fly around the training field for some minutes. The girls below are looking at him, and Bella join him to fly. Wendy get jealous, so Clara didn't fly and accompany her. Carla isn't strong enough to carry Wendy and fly right now.

"Do you want to fly too?"-Ben get down

"N-no, i'm okay."-Wendy try to hide it, but she's not that good at lying

"Then, how about this?"-Ben

Ben transform his legs into reptilian legs, and hands into giant bat-like wings. His neck elongated, his body is covered with black scales, and his blonde hair grow from head to the back of his neck. Ben also grow a long tail behind, and with dragon like head, he transform into a black wyvern.

"I want to transform into a dragon, but it's still too hard. The most i can do right now is this small sized wyvern. Turning into a giant dragon need very high amount of MP after all."-Ben

Ben's wyvern size is small for a wyvern. His body length from head to tail is just 3 meters. His wing span is also 3 meters, that's a small size for a wyvern in the forest. They've saw a wyvern with 10 meters length before, after all.

"It's okay, Ben nii-san, even transforming into a wyvern in your first day is really amazing."-Wendy

"Climb up then! Let's fly around the forest."-Ben

"Yes."-Wendy

Wendy then climb Ben's wyvern back, and the 2 cats also climb.

"You guys too?"-Ben

"We don't have energy to fly around the forest by ourselves."-Carla

"Tired!"-Bella

"Yes yes, just hold on tightly so you won't fall!"-Ben

Ben take off and he fly with the 3 passangers. He fly to the forest at rather high altitude, so they can see the trees and the animals below. Ben fly faster, and the passangers get excited.

'Well, it seem my hard training on this magic has been payed already.'-Ben smile

They fly around the forest for 2 hours, before returning to the village. This day has been really fun for them.
