Chapter 58: Eclipse Gate (8)

~Third POV~

"Ugh…"

"No…"

"Captain…"

Falling on the floor defeated on the ground by Rou's Golem lies Neppa, Cosmos, and Uosuke all of them defeated on the ground as Rou finishes collecting the Territory Magic from Uosuke's Magic Power by converting his Magic Power into data with his Archive Magic as he walks to Kama and Kamika remaining on guard.

Fortunately enough though their allies aren't dead but with the two of them left Kama comments on the Golem motioning towards them, "You know you could've made it easy for me just to let me inside. But you guys wouldn't allow me, would you?"

Kama raises his double scythe preparing to stall the intruder further in an attempt to stop him as long as they could, "No. We would be a shame of the Kingdom if we simply allow a criminal like you to go free. We have our duties to fulfill! No matter what criminal."

Rou seeing this suddenly got a message from Mavis learning more about his location giving her words of the exact location.

[Mavis: Rou you are right under the treasury heading towards the Eclipse Gate! I saw the Golem's eyes that a whole group of Rune Knights and Council Members Siegrain and Ultear are joining!]

[Rou: Roger. Roger.]

*THUD*

With Kama and Kamika readying to stall the sounds of the Rune Knights marching forward towards Rou's direction with Jellal entering with a serious expression on his face, "I have no idea who you are intruder. But you made the mistake of entering here."

Ultear comes around as her eyes gaze at the Golem still in place wary of it demanding Kama report about getting defeated by it, "Rune Knight Captain! What exactly is making you lose against one Golem here."

Kamika grits her teeth giving them an answer that shocked the Magic Casters of the answer revealed, "That Golem… I don't know what that intruder did, but he managed to change Cosmos summoning into a Golem made out of fucking Maginuim. That thing is repelling all of our Magic attacks."

Paused hearing that the Golem began to move as Kama made his move towards it blocking an incoming attack.

*CLANK*

*CLANG*

The show of power is made with Kama managing to block the attack moving back and holding his Double Scythes opening up as he gives his command, "While the Golem is Magic proof those with strong physical attacks the damn thing! Leave it to us while you all focus on the Wizard commanding it!!"

"Good to hear!!"

*CLANK*

*THUD*

With one strike of the sword movement, Rou's eyes narrowed seeing Arcadios slashing the Golem made of Maginuim holding a pure black sword with Kama commenting on the person attacking the golem, "Captain Arcadios! What a surprise to see your appearance. Didn't think you would be able to scratch the damn thing."

Arcadios eyes the Golem commenting Kama holding a weapon that Rou himself created in the past as it changed shape, "Same. But the weapon of the Ten Commandments isn't something to scoff at when using Gravity Core. After all, it was created by one of the greatest minds of its time. The creator made sure to be at its strongest metal and lightest material to be used swiftly."

Changing into its default setting Rou's eyes focused upward as he gave the people below a mocking bow, "While it's nice that I received this much attention I think I overestimated my battle here. And for that, I have a job to do."

Ignoring the others Rou used Telekinesis Magic to make himself afloat going to the sky placing his hands on the ceiling activating his alchemy and hiding the blue sparks of Alchemic energy as he escapes making a hole.

The eyes of everyone soon widen as they try to go after him, but the Golem suddenly moved blocking the way with Arcadios giving the orders, "Men! Go up quickly before –"

*BAM*

*THUD*

Landing a punch of their escape the Golem ensure it blocked their path directly with Arcadios gritting his teeth clenching his Ten Commandments tightly, "Damn it!!! We must hurry and defeat this Golem before the intruder does any damage!"

"Right!"

*WOOOSH*

Rushing in holding his weapon Arcadios activated the Ten Commandments changing form as he roared out, "I must protect the princess from that man!!! Come and change my blade!! EXPLOSION!!!"

*BOOOM*

The sword changed with the words 'EXPLOSION' inscribed activating one of its ten powers within the sword as Alchemic sparks and magic was activated.

*BOOOM*

*Zzzz*

Entering inside the Treasury room Rou felt his Magic immediately drain as his eyes dart towards the accursed item that caused the end of the world.

He mentally sighs at this mumbling to himself but smiles remembering the blade he saw put into good use, "Sigh… to think one of the weapons I created would turn its blade at me. Oh, the irony of it all. But still, it's under good hands so I won't complain much about creating my masterpiece of the Ten Commandments."

Recalling creating the blade under the King's request he laughed as he recalls the items he used to create it with his knowledge, "Hahaha! Sigh… to think the first ever blade made to use Alchemy and Magic would be used on me. I should expect such an awesome weapon created by me of course. Although I should get the original soon enough from the Celestial Spirit World."

Rou goes towards the cursed Magic Tool that ruined everything as he placed his hands over the Eclipse Gate finally finishing his objective for the day.

The Gate has a large door with an elaborate design. At the center of the door is a sun with a darkened moon below it. The lower section of the door from the sun past the moon is dark blue with golden lines, and the upper section is green and split into twelve segments.

Around the sun are several circles, the innermost one connecting the moon and twelve holes, one in each segment. A set of steps leads up to the door and two pillars stand on either side of the door with an arch connecting them. Atop the arch is an emblem consisting of an eclipsed sun. On either side of the Gate is an additional support, fashioned in the shape of a leg.

Placing his hand over the blade Rou activated his Alchemy immediately destroying it once and for all…

"ZZzzzzz…!"

Under his hands the Eclipse Gate soon got deconstructed destroyed reduced to rubble with the safety of the future ensured mumbling to himself happily, "Finally… that takes care of the issues of the bleak future. At the very least no dragon invasion of the past will ever occur on my watch. Now to deal with –"

*BOOM*

With that, the sounds of the treasury doors opened with Arcadios rushing in with his weapon yelling its name aiming to attack Rou, "AHHH! SILFARION GIVE ME SPEED!"

*CLANG*

Suddenly confronted by Arcadios rushing in attacking Rou completely by surprise he launched attacks at him with Rou being forced back from the confrontation standing his ground as did the rest of the Rune Knight forces coming in with Kama and Kimaka.

They all soon entered inside surrounding Rou with their weapons up Arcadios looked at the scene then his eyes at Eclipse Gate with surprise then glares at the intruder, "What?! You destroyed one of the King's precious family treasures… you will be executed for –"

*Shiii*

Before Arcadios could respond anymore smoke suddenly began to evaporate from Rou as if deconstructing saying his words in overdramatic acting, "Finally… the distorted future ahead won't exist anymore. I have done it. I have saved the future of humanity being eradicated destroying this accursed Magic Tool."

The rest were confused as Arcadios goes in to arrest him with Anti-Magic cuffs having enough of the intruder's foolishness, "Enough!! One way or another you –"

*Wooosh*

They all paused seeing the intruder slowly become smoke not sensing any magic with Rou using Fairy Alchemy to transmute into pure smoke adding the special effects of him dissolving with everyone to witness the moment.

Seeing the chance Rou gave out his speech to Arcadios as he was stuck in place seeing him turn into smoke replying to him, "I did what needed to be done. I have traveled back to the past because the stupid king of Fiore didn't listen to the time traveler of the past named Anna to destroy it before it destroyed the world. I did the world the favor and in return ended my existence. The future from now would've been ruled by Dragons marking the end of the human era for good."

*Woosh*

Fully changes into smoke flying away while in reality, he was moving Rou gave the people in the room information that chilled them, "I knew full well destroying the Magic Tool will kill me destroying the Eclipse Gate… but if it meant humanity would've had the chance of surviving than being extinct from the Dragons in past… I will do everything to protect Mankind and tell your King you ended our race—"

The smoke fully transmuted as Rou used it to get out using the chance to expand his body thin turning invisible to the naked eye with everyone hearing the news with each having different thoughts of the matter.

Any Wizards within the group couldn't sense the Magic being used as they gulped only believing the words from Rou's mouth as he disappeared believing the course of time erased the intruder from existence while in reality, Rou made a dramatic escape implanting his false erasure.

Escaping through the cracks of the doors Rou made his quick escape as he caused a quiet uproar…

"I see… kabo…"

Sitting on the throne listening to the reports that Arcadios gave to the King of Fiore Toma E. Fiore as a short man who wears striped overalls, held up by a belt at the waist, under a cape with his hand under his chin.

He frowns at the news before giving Arcadios an order surprising him with a sad expression on Toma's face, "If that's the case… I've already failed my kingdom once. Anna… that time traveler from the past… to think THAT would result in not heeding her words… koba…"

Arcadios expresses his surprise that everything the intruder says was true if his King took it seriously once the whole situation was under wraps.

Gulping hard the news of Dragons ruling the world causes the two to contemplate the actions of the intruder before Arcadios responds sucking in cold air, "Sir… the intruder said he had help from the future to destroy it… is it possible the person is now in our Era from the future changing?"

At this Toma thinks long and hard before he finally replies to his trusted man, "Maybe… but I doubt will ever know. They could've vanished or are in hiding Arcadios. For the time being, will leave this matter for now. We were just saved from a horrible mistake that I didn't take the proper time to do. We are very fortunate that we don't have to bear that kind of fate. Would you leave for now… I have to reflect on my inactions… koba…"

Arcadios only agreed to see that his king didn't once refute or argue the time traveler's words he could only come to terms with being true and following his King's rules, "Sir… if that's what you wish."

As Arcadios leaves the throne room leaving his king to think he couldn't help but think to himself curiously, 'Still… I wonder who are the ones that allowed that man to time travel to the past without using the Eclipse Gate if what my majesty's words say is true. They have done the Kingdom of Fiore a great service that we couldn't possibly comprehend…'

Arcadios continues his path only curious who were the ones that assisted the time traveler…

"Done!"

Returning back to the hotel room with Mavis waiting sighing in relief talking to Rou, "Whew… talk about cutting it close there. Was getting a bit nervous with that stunt but you managed to talk your way out."

Rou merely rolls his eyes but smiles going towards the bed feeling tired stretching his limbs tired, "Yeah… Ahhhhh… Man, I feel tired. But at least that's one issue done with but…"

Mavis flinches as she realizes what Rou meant the big issue left that needs to be dealt with in the future, "Yeah… Aconologia… his going to be an issue unless we use Fairy Sphere to seal him or try to kill him which is pretty hard. I mean Dragons are PRETTY hard to kill."

Rou sighs at this as they may have saved their future, they now have to tackle the dragon of apocalypse next with him muttering to himself, "Yare, yare, daze. Good grief… one massive issue done all to come back to the overgrown lizard. Can't catch a break can we now?"

Feeling exhausted mentally as did Mavis for the adventure they had gone through, they decided to end it for the day with the two snuggling with each other, mentally and physically tired of the events finally having a good night's rest.
