~Third POV~
*BANG*
Loud sounds of cannons were fired off as Mavis sees the results as does Rou with the shocked faces of the Yuri, Warrod, and Precht thinking they won seeing the cannonballs all after the Blue Skull Wizards paling at this –
"NEVER YOU BRAT!!!"
*BOOM*
Suddenly Mavis and Rou felt their skins crawl when they felt the Magic Power released by Geoffery holding his one hand up in the air stopping all of the cannonballs in place with the Magic Spell Telekinesis.
The Telekinesis Spell is a type of Magic that allows its user to move and take control of things with their mind and use them for whatever purpose they wish, such as for battle.
Something that Rou forgot was the small details of enemy Wizards he read through the anime or manga that he missed small details of a Wizard having more than one spell as his heart and expression pale seeing the attack stopped.
Mavis for her part pales with seeing their plan failed and was going to backfire hard with Geoffery grinning in delight at the pale expressions on the two faces, "Hahaha! What's wrong you brats? You thought your little cannon tricks would do? No… Your group is too weak to deal with me. You got lucky with that strike… but you should've aimed for the head. This farce ends now."
*Woosh*
Using his Telekinesis Spell he threw the cannon balls back to the sender with Rou quickly activating his Alchemy and Archive Magic to lessen the shockwave impact coming their way.
"Fire Wall!!"
*Zzzz*
*THUD*
"BOOOM!!!"
Creating stone walls along with his Archive Magic Fire Wall to shield the blast grabbing Mavis still in shock the treasure hunters knew full well they were outmatched now seeing with each of them shouting out in retreat.
But they soon get cornered as some of the Blue Skull Wizards managed to corner them as the rest began to blast through the stone wall to surround them.
"Hyaah!!!"
"This is bad!!!"
"Full retreat!"
"Cut them off!!"
Holding Mavis in one arm begins to cry at the scene her planning failing with Rou rescuing her as more groups of Blue Skull Wizards try to corner them, "Hey get them! That brat for harming Master!!"
As they ready their Magic Bolts from their staffs Rou merely glared at them slamming the ground instantly using Deconstruction Alchemy to destroy the ground to create a small smokescreen but also cause a shockwave uplifting them and messing with their aim.
*Zzzz*
*BOOM*
"Ah!"
"Damn, it –"
*THUD*
Not taking any time to waste Rou stomped his foot on his face using it as a footing for him to continue moving ahead –
"BOOOM!"
A loud explosion was heard as Yuri was attacked when he threw his Lacrima Bomb at Geoffery only for it to return to sender sending him near Warrod and Precht as they get overwhelmed by the massive forces.
Gritting his teeth he began to jump down near the group as the Wizards began to call out their attacks with their staffs glowing, "Fire the Magic bolts!"
*Zzzzz*
Alchemic sparks began to emerge from his hand creating a wall to separate them from the attack defending the best he could.
*THUD*
*BANG*
*BANG*
*BANG*
The wall was soon reconstructed using the ground to help defend against the Magic Bolts as one was slowed down passing through giving Precht enough time to avoid not losing his eye and giving his thanks, "Thanks. We have to run… NOW!!"
Warrod manages to grab Yuri's unconscious body showing signs of burns from the explosion with him as they all ran away, "You fiends!!! You are not killing anyone else today!!!!"
Like that, they all ran away from the Blue Skull Wizards as Geoffery sees them break through their defenses holding his hand to stop his group with a satisfying smirk on his face, "Enough. Now they shall never come near Magnolia again. Even if we tried to go forward will be stopped by that Brat weird Magic creating walls. But the satisfying fear on their faces was good enough to see."
Running full speed away from Magnolia as the group had conflicted emotions in their hearts Mavis silently cried thinking to herself, 'We ran away in disgrace! Even with the element of surprise, we didn't consider if they could reflect our plan… it's my fault… I should've thought of a better plan…'

The group kept on running away making sure they were far from harm or any danger to the Western forest outside Magnolia…
The group managed to find a secure area to rest treating Yuri's injuries as Warrod and Rou took careful looks at the treatment with him responding with a defeated expression, "We'll stay here for the night. We have to hurry and get Yuri to a doctor."
Rou checks over Yuri's wounds applying some medical herbs and medical ointments applying to the burn marks shown on his body talking to him in a defeated tone, "Careful these will sting a bit, but the ointment will help the swelling down from the burns. What you need is time to recover Yuri."
Yuri flinches feeling the pain soothing his burns but voices his reply to both of them struggling to speak as he reassuring the group, "Never mind about me... ow... I'll be as good as new given a few days of rest."
Precht voices his own concern about a problem with Warrod's idea in a defeated tone, "It will take us a long time to reach a town to get a doctor for Yuri."
Mavis stands up depressingly as she addresses Rou looks worriedly at her, "I'll go… get some water."
Mavis begins to leave with Rou worried for her but also knows he had to let this part happen as he focuses on treating Yuri's injuries with Warrod….

Mavis soon found a pond of fresh water already getting water but took the moment to look through the reflection frowning.
She sits down thinking about the events that led up to her friend being injured mentally belittling herself for her plan failing, 'It was my fault! We were up against an entire guild, each one a wizard. I should have realized the enemy was as big as it was. This was my… this was my first mistake. If only I had more power…'
*Splash*
Suddenly a splash of water emerges catching Mavis's attention seeing a naked Zeref's body in full display seemingly unaware as she turns around and apologizes blushing in embarrassment, "I – I'm sorry! I didn't realize anyone was here…"
Zeref uncaring replies to Mavis getting her off guard as he gets out of the pond, "Leave the forest. Now!"
Mavis got confused as he went to get changed quickly apologizing to her in the process, "I'm sorry. That's a bad habit of mine. I should be the one to go."
Mavis sees Zeref but her eyes widen in shock in the next few seconds as the once lush live trees and grass around him suddenly began to decay as if dying immediately around his presence making her eyes widen at the scene.
She asked confused to know what exactly has happened around her, "What…?! What just happened?!"
Zeref faces down with a frown on his face explaining to Mavis in front of her to leave him alone for her safety, "Anything that gets close to me… all of it… dies. So, don't come any closer!"
However, contrary to his expectations Mavis immediately figured out what was going on with Zeref in front of her shocking him, "Are you… under Ankhselam's Black Magic? I've only seen it in books… but it was a form of an ancient curse, right? It goes by another name: The Curse of Contradiction. The more you value living things, the more death energy you put out. On the other hand, the less regard you hold for life, the less death energy you put out."
Zeref for the first time in a long time was genuinely surprised by Mavis's explanation as she realizes this and apologies right away, "Ah… I'm sorry! It just slipped out… just a force of habit…"
Zeref eyes lose his surprise as he replied to Mavis in a gentle tone to her as he continues their conversation, "Not at all. You know quite a lot, don't you? You're the first to guess my curse. But even so, I do my best to keep from meeting anyone at all."
Mavis frowns at this as she replied to Zeref with a sad tone, "Have you always been here?"
Zeref closes his eyes as he replies to her question trying to keep his emotions in check as Mavis frowns at his answer, "No… I tend to travel from place to place. I try not to touch anyone because of this curse. Not even animals. Living things, I touch all die. You needn't look so sad. But you are a kind one, aren't you?"
Mavis replies to Zeref curiously at the sad Black Wizard tale, "Aren't you alone?"
Zeref shakes his head keeping a smile on his face and managing to keep his death energy down as he continues speaking, "Perhaps… perhaps not. Still, right now… talking to you as I am… might be the first time I've enjoyed myself in a long time. But, at the same time, speaking to a child like you… I must fear that I may wind up killing you with my power. I do not wish to kill anyone."
Turning around as he closes his eyes leaving Mavis as he spoke to her a final time Zeref thought ending the conversation, "I'll go now. I refuse to subject myself to nightmares here! Huh?"
As he did some Mavis used her magic to create illusions but Zeref didn't know that as he tried to avoid them, but she reassures him by talking to him, "You can touch them if you wish. They're my illusions. Well, you can't actually touch them."
Zeref sees the animal illusions seeing his hand phase through them but felt happy at such a scene as he thanked Mavis, "Maybe not… but I feel the warmth. Thank you."
Taking the moment to enjoy the small peace Mavis began to talk to him thinking a bit before finally realizing their encounter, "It may be fate that you and I meet."
Zeref was momentarily confused by what she meant as Mavis continues to explain leading towards her and asking for his help, "I would guess that you are an amazing Wizard. Please! Could you teach us Magic? There are a bunch of people that we must fight! And…"
Mavis pauses a moment leading to silence with Zeref understanding as she thought to herself determined, 'And… there's someone I wish to protect… has been helping me in my time of need even now… I choked when he had to save me again not fighting to his fullest… I hate being the damsel in distress or his weakness… I want to return the kindness Rou showed me! To be his heroine in time of need like him being my hero of my time of need!'
Zeref seeing Mavis's determination and plead finally relented with a nod along with a brief smile on his face.
