Chapter 19: Fairy Tail Zero (7)
~Third POV~
After the last 3 days of traveling on foot the group finally reaches the distance of where the town of Magnolia with Warrod seeing it from afar, "It's come into full view! Magnolia!!"
"Whoa!"
"We're here!"
Mavis and Yuri both outburst at seeing the town as Rou keeps his arms crossed commenting on their stolen gem, "So this is where Blue Skull is located huh? Time to return back our gem with a major interest of pain."
Precht crosses his arms ever the serious one in the group replying their first step, "First, we have to gather some information."
As they walk ever closer to Magnolia, they can finally get near the town with Mavis talking to Rou, "I'd really like to see Kardia Cathedral! I hear it's huge around here."
Rou replies to Mavis keeping up with a friendly atmosphere responding to his feelings about the Kardia Cathedral, "Huge huh? I wonder how big we're talking about here. Like monster big or normal building big? Heck, there might be even treasures inside."
Seeing as the two were curious Precht comments on some trivia facts about the cathedral as the two listen to him, "Kardia Cathedral is one of Fiore's Three Great Cathedrals. They say the angel saint Michael—"
However, before he could continue, he was interrupted by Yuri getting their attention immediately once their eyes land on the town, "H—Hey! Over there!"
Upon finally entering Magnolia town everyone looked on in shock at the state it was in as the buildings looked to be crumbling down in ruins hardly still standing along with the holes on others as if it was blasted open.
The flags once standing on the sides of the town were shown to be burnt up with the black ash remains on them with crates or glass bottles scattered around the ground.
The floor on the dirt ground littered with debris broken wood and barrels just lying around as they lay their eyes on the damaged Kardia Cathedral with one of its pillars broken along with a noticeable skeleton of a blue dragon standing on the top of it shocking the group.
You see this was shocked for the first time in person viewing the skeleton of a dragon and realizing how truly big it was or small if it was a small dragon, to begin with, or not.
The idea seems to frighten him.
But the group remained shocked as the one to get out of it was Precht with shock evident in his voice, "What is that…? It's on the Kardia Cathedral…"
Mavis seeing the figure mumbles to herself surprised to see a skeleton of a dragon, "Blue Skull's dragon…"
Rou on the other hand merely tightens his fist as some PTSD flashed in his head about the Guild War that happened on Tenrou Island recalling what exactly they are walking into with a bead of sweat trickling down his face.
Yuri couldn't help but question what it was they were seeing in pure confusion and shock they are witnessing, "Seriously what is that…? A dragon skeleton with blue bones above the Cathedral?"
Warrod on the other hand views the state of the town with a worried expression on his face of the state it was in, "Yeah, and this town… it's really in shambles… Do people really live here?"
"Are you travelers?"
Hearing the voice from behind the group turned around surprised enough for Rou to return to his senses as an Elder replied to them, "There's nothing in this town for you. You all should move along."
Yuri hearing this replied to the Elder in a respectful manner, "You may say that, but this is really our destination."
Precht seeing the chance decided to gather more information about the state of the town, "Elder… what is this town…"
The Elder replied in a defeated tone to the group, "It's a dying town."
Mavis mutters out confused about what the Elder meant as Rou's eyes darted towards the buildings above with narrowed eyes, "A dying town…?"
The Elder began to explain further what he meant to Mavis for her to grasp what was happening, "No… the town's already dead. Ever since Blue Skull came here, this town –"
"Archive: Fire Wall!"
*Shiii*
*BANG*
*THUD*
Interrupting the Elder immediately saving his life before he was shot through with bullet magic was blocked by a screen depicting the words 'FIRE WALL' on it.
The others looked surprised as did the group with Rou's eyes darting towards 3 Wizards with wooden staffs as he talked to him, "Elder I think you should leave immediately before you actually lose your life here."
The Elder nodded thanking the boy and quickly run off with Warrod, Precht, and Yuri quickly alerted of the attempted attack.
"H-Hey!!"
"Wh-what just happened?!"
"Where is the attacker?!!"
Mavis gaze her eyes at Rou's as he never left him in the direction of where the shot originated she followed along seeing 3 Wizards disappointed for someone interrupting their fun, "Tch. I would've got a bullseye if that brat didn't interfere."
The other laughed at one of their misery tauntingly as the other pointed their staff in Rou and Mavis's direction, "Ha! Maybe because you have suck aiming. I'm aiming for the kids for extra points!"
Hearing the voices, the Treasure Hunters are alerted seeing how close they are as the Wizards were nearby on the building next to them them jumping down as one had their staff charging a magic attack aiming at the two.
"Hyaha!"
"Hey, hey, hey! Don't just come waltzing into our town!"
"Yer gonna die!"
*Zzzz*
*THUD*
Quickly placing one hand on the ground activated his Alchemy to create a stone wall and the other grabbed Mavis on her mid-section carrying her to avoid a magic bullet attack at the same time.
*Woosh*
Avoiding the attack, the Treasure Hunters reacted and began to engage in combat with the 3 Wizards with Mavis mumbling to herself as her eyes dilated having PTSD, "I can't believe anybody could kill a person like it's nothing personal… they killed everybody on the island… everybody –"
Before she could continue Rou got her senses back again speaking to her calmly regaining her senses, "Mavis… get your head in the game. We have more coming after them. Don't go full shock on us now."
With his voice, she regained her composure as Yuri threw a Lacrima bomb on one of the Wizards instantly defeating him along with Warrod and Precht defeating theirs with their skills and physical might.
Feeling confident Yuri grins happily at the situation thinking it would be much harder, "Humph! They're not so tough! Is this all a wizard can do?!"
*Thump*

*Thump*
But before they could continue talking, they were interrupted as a group of Wizards was coming in their direction Warrod frowned at this, "Reinforcements?"
Mavis seeing this chance glanced at Rou giving her command as he agreed with a nod, "Rou shock and blast. This is where I come in!!!!"
Mavis raises her arms above her head and creates an illusion of a whole army coming forth to bluff her enemies, "I summon… Tenrou Soldiers!!!"

All of the knights wield a sword, shield with an insignia of wings, and wear armor as they appeared acting as cover for Rou to begin making his part of the plan of shock and blast.
Everyone except for Precht and Rou was surprised by the sudden appearance of knights coming out of nowhere as the Blue Skull Wizards took a step back at the amount, of forces in their way.
"Wha—?!!"
"Whoa!"
"Wow!"
"Wh—what is this?!!"
"EEEK!!"
"…!!!"
"How many troops did they bring?!"
"Where could they have come from?!"
"Incredible!"
"I-I don't know about this…"
"Where did they come from?!"
"Summoning magic…?!"
"Urk…"
"What do we do?"
Mavis seeing the intended effect happening only requested her demands to Blue Skull for their Guild Leader to come out in a serious tone, "I want to talk to your Master! Would you call him them for me?"
Before the group of nervous Blue Skull Wizards could respond one voice spoke out from the group coming closer to the front, "No need for that."
Soon an older-looking gentleman wore a multi-colored cape of sorts that was decorated with skulls over a plain-colored shirt and animal-print pants. He always kept his face covered by large goggles and a dark-blue colored mask comes out.
This man is Geoffery the Guild Master of Blue Skull he comes out asking the problem, "What's all this ruckus?
Yuri, Precht, and Warrod made small comments about their leader coming out to the open saving them the trouble.
"Right! He's come to us!"
"Quiet!"
"He's the master?"
Coming out in the open in front of the group in between Mavis Illusion and his members examining her Magic as she makes a demand to return the Tenrou Jade, "7 years ago, you stole a gem from Tenrou Island. I've come to take it back to the island. Are you saying you won't return it?"
Geoffery remains quiet for a while realizing Mavis's magic as he responds to her coldly, "If I won't, what will you do? Hm?"
Mavis replied instantly no hesitation in her voice, "I'd send these troops…"
Tilting his head towards her he mumbles before finally responding his answer to her and his guild members listening as he turns around, "Kill them. They're just illusions."
With one swipe of his hand, he used his Dispel Magic as this Magic allows its users to remove any spell from their afflicted target.
And yet Mavis didn't react nervously towards Geoffery for even discovering her illusions after all illusions are merely tricks used to hide something or cause the person to misinterpret what's in front of them.
Geoffery as he dispelled her Tenrou Soldiers because –
*WOOSH*
"ACK!"
"MASTER!!"
A lance immediately shot forth at him piercing his body through damaging him greatly Yuri, Precht, and Warrod looked shocked when Mavis's spell was dissolved what was left in place was Rou and his legion of canons all prepared to be readily standing on top of one with a cold look on his face shown.
Mavis continued to explain further expressing a cold look towards the Blue Skull Wizards telling them more as Geoffery removes the lance bleeding heavily, "7 years ago you not only destroyed my home but my friends as well. Destroying and killing his family… will be your mistake when he fights back. I tried to be the peaceful one here. So, I hope you were all shocked and awed because that won't last long. Fire."
*Zzzz*
*BANG*
….
Like that, their first time fighting and history-changing before their eyes occurred, and yet...

The course of history happening in the past may yet change the future...

Elsewhere a small crack of Space Between Time the once supposed Dragon Slayers traveled with the use of Eclipse Gate the very item that nearly brought the end of Humans of the future to near extinction began to beat…
That small beat of something from the past changes as the butterfly effect changes the whole area around the darkened future…
Things that didn't exist before have now come to be as if someone messing with the past is changing the course of the history of the fated dimmed future for better or for worse...
