Chapter 13: Fairy Tail Zero (1)
~Third POV~
Soon washing on to the shore of Tenrou Island a boat containing 3 young men landed on shore with a very well-built young man; his head, somewhat rectangular in shape, was covered with messy hair on its top and dressed in a sleeveless top with belt and trousers.
This man is Warrod Sequen later to become the fourth most powerful wizard saint as he spoke out happily, "So this is Tenrou Island huh? Nice fresh air. I could see myself living here."
The next young man next to Warrod sported a light cape complete with a dark fur-lined mantle, and what looked like a loose robe below.
This man is Precht Gaebolg later in the future becomes the second master of Fairy Tail, and much later, Master of Grimoire Hearts as he responds back, "We didn't come here for the fun of it, Warrod!"
Warrod jokes at his companion treasure hunter and seriously responds, "It was a joke! A joke Precht!"
"Sploosh!"
Suddenly falling out from their boat was the final member of the treasure hunters as the final one was a tall teenage young man with medium-length, wavy, and spiked dark-blond hair; he had thick eyebrows and very prominent eyelashes. For attire, he donned a black turtleneck, over the top of which he wore a leather jacket with a folded, fur-trimmed collar and breast pockets on either side. He also wore simple pants with frayed hems and plain black shoes.
This man is Yuri Dreyar later in the future father of Makarov as he spoke out loudly, "Weee're heeeere!!!!"
Warrod laughs lightly at the teenager with a knowing smirk on his face, "Mister noisy is awake."
Yuri hearing this gets over to them with a look of determination on his face but excitement, as he responds back to his, collogues, "Now listen up, ya creeps!! It's on this island no doubt about it! The Tenrou Jade is here on this island!! And we're gonna get our hands on it!"
The year is X686 on this day the hands of fate began to turn.
This is the story of the birth of Fairy Tail….

The year of X686 on Tenrou Island was practically any normal day as any other with Mavis sitting on a tree casually enjoying the day, "La-la-laa! Beautiful weather today!"
The current year makes Mavis Vermillion 13 years old of age as she enjoys the view as Rou soon comes out with a bemused expression on his face, "Beautiful day? Isn't always like this every day though?"
Getting a bit surprised Mavis turns around to see Rou Ake a reincarnator from another world in this year 13 of age the same as Rou with him smirking at her, "Besides didn't you say that today was when we clean up the library today after our movie night yesterday, Mavis!"
Mavis blinks before she realizes she did recall something like that in surprise, "Ah! Oh, yeah!"
Rou gives Mavis a blank deadpan stare trying to remind her since at times she could be an airhead forgetful, "I knew you forgot it, didn't you? Come on that library isn't going to be cleaned up now."
As Mavis jumps down Rou sees that Mavis isn't wearing any shoes only bare feet and he talks to her a bit sadden, "Mavis you still aren't wearing any shoes? You still upset about what those Red Lizards said all that time back?"
Mavis just happily denies his words responding to Rou in a cheerful manner, "It feels better to go barefoot! No worries Rou. I'm not too worried about what they said in the past it just feels great is all!"
Rou sighs at this but relents furthering more on the subject but smiles at this teasing her of a memory a few years back, "Ah… very well then. At least you know better to share the same bath as with a guy, right?"
Mavis for her blushes recalling the time being too innocent as she pouts, her face at Rou's suggestion, "Hey no fair! How was I supposed to know that boys and girls can't be in the same bath with one another!! I was an innocent maiden by circumstance Ake-pervert!!! Baka!!"
Rou for his part shakes his head at Mavis's embarrassment of her past self after growing up a bit and learning a thing called dignity and common sense.
Like that, the two continue on their merry way like life as always in Tenrou Island but fate has placed her hands now with the fated meeting…

Cleaning the Tenrou Island Library the two bickers as always keep themselves company and enjoy the time they take to clean up everything.
However, Rou's ears flicker lightly hearing the steps of someone coming with a knowing smirk in his head with the words, 'The time has come huh?'
Listening to the words of someone coming Rou alerted Mavis right away surprising her, "Mavis somebody's coming."
Her eyes went on full alert as she looks at the entrance to the library with concern, "People…? On this island?!"
"Klak…"
"Klak…"
"Klak…"
Hearing the sounds coming closer the two began to prepare in case things get a bit dangerous with Mavis having a bracelet band pair of metal with closer looks of Alchemic runes and Transmutation Circle prepared for her to use.
Over the years Mavis finally was able to grasp how to use Alchemy to create constructs of matter thanks to Rou and majorly of Edward's memories in Alchemy assisting the process easier for a genius like Mavis to figure out.
Rou teaches her Alchemy in case she couldn't defend herself with Magic or learn to get away as each pair has the Transmutation Array for instant Reconstruction or Deconstruction as a means of self-defense.
"Klak…"
Upon the last step, Yuri finally enters the library looking surprised to see Mavis and Rou just as Mavis spoke first scaring Yuri, "What business do you have here on this island?"
Yuri like any usual teenager was surprised and jumped back screaming explaining himself, "AH! You scared me! I heard no one was alive here!"
Rou for his part stifled a small laugh hearing Yuri's voice scream like a girl with some sarcasm thrown, "Bfff…. Yeah, sure man. I mean with you screaming like a chick I doubt no one would hear."
Yuri for his part defended his scream at Rou's response like any hot-blooded teen, "Wha…! I'll have you know that my screams are manly!"
However, Yuri calms himself down before acting depressed trying to lie to them, "Well, that blows. Don't worry! We're just here doing a biological survey, so…"
"You're lying."
Mavis instantly replied as Yuri looked shocked that didn't go unnoticed by the two as she continues, "A biologist would know the yaktrinca grass that grows here has poisonous pollen. They would've taken preventative measures."
Yuri quickly acted up to correct his mistake but Mavis and Rou both mentally smirked at his reaction and at the same time thought, 'He fell for it hook line, and sinker.'
Yuri acted up with another lie easily enough to support his earlier claim, "Now then kids, you both have been sheltered and probably don't know that we city folk have found antidotes for the yaktrinca poison."
Rou for his part laughed at Yuri's responses getting him confused till he heard the words out of Rou's mouth, "Dude… you really suck at acting and lying. It's actually funny. Hahaha…"
Yuri's eyes widen at this as Rou laughed lightly as Mavis immediately gets to the point with Yuri lying to them, "What are you really doing here? Sorry, but there is no poison in yaktrinca. That's basic biology and you fell for it."
Yuri seeing the two-reaction catching his lie as he decided to be honest seeing lying is not going to be any use, "You two really are bright for your ages?"
Mavis waves her arms up lightly in the air smiling as she replies, "We both read lots of books!"
Yuri listens to this smirk at this information as he chooses to be honest about what his work really is to them to get more information, "We're looking for a gem called the Tenrou Jade. We're treasure hunters."
Mavis gets confused by this, but Rou raised his eyebrow at him when he said, "We're? As in more than one of you guys are on this island?"
Yuri nods expressing his honesty as he raises his eyebrow at them seeing the lack of reaction to the item he's looking for as he questions them further, "Don't tell me you don't know! It's an S-Class rare gem hidden somewhere on this island."
Mavis for her part gets rather defensive about the gem despite not knowing it's long gone with Rou keeping his words silent, "Of course I know! But it is a symbol of this holy land. It can't simply be handed over to strangers."
Yuri sighed at this closing his eyes and trying to convince the two of an alternative instead of violence, "Then we'll just have to take it by force. Not that, I'd enjoy it, against a pair of kids like yourselves. After all, you two are pretty bright. So why don't one of you have a match of wits? If I win, you tell me where the Tenrou Jade is. If you win, then we leave the island quietly."
Seeing the two give him a deadpan expression with even Rou snickering seeing Yuri's conversation failing.
Then his eyes wander towards a book titled the 'Lord of the Fairy' as he coolly replies to Mavis's interest, "Then how about this? If you win, I introduce you to a fairy."
Rou's eyes widen in horror as it didn't take no hesitation for Mavis to recklessly agree to the deal given right away, "A fairy?!! I'll do it!!"
*Thud*
Rou falls down to the ground in anime fashion at Mavis's agreement right away, "Damn it! Mavis don't just go agreeing to random strangers!"
Butting heads with Rou's head Mavis makes a counteroffer with her eyes stary recklessly agreeing to the deal, "But Rou…! He speaks about meeting a Fairy! I mean he could know, one! How could I miss this chance!!"
The two continued to bicker before finally, Mavis wins the conversation as Rou sits on the chair with Mavis innocently smirking victoriously promising Rou, "Don't worry Rou I got this. You know between us that if it came to a game of wits I will win every time."
Rou for his part shrugs reluctantly and agrees that in a game of wits, he would lose to Mavis hands down as he explains the rules as everything goes Rou remembers this scene with a smile seeing Mavis have some fun.
He could only take this moment to enjoy the show in person.
