6 Chapter 6: First Quest(1), Encountered a bandit.

*Earth Land, Ishgar, Fiore* * November 7, Year 771* * Afternoon*

As I exit the chaotic guild building, I was thinking about the job as I head to a nearby inn. I rent a room for 1 night using the jewels that I got from selling horned rabbits and Three legged Chicken that I Have Hunted from the forest.

I have saved 5,000 Jewels from all my hunting of magical creatures in the forest. I've used 500 Jewels to rent this room with dinner and breakfast included. I go to my room upstairs while carrying my dinner.

I took a bath after I ate my dinner, and slept on my bed.

After I woke up I washed up and brushed my teeth, after that I ate the breakfast that is delivered to my room. After Eating breakfast, I headed to the west gate where there are many carriages. Because the capital of Fiore, Crocus, is west of Magnolia.

I inquired a bit on which the of carriages that will pass by the village of wells. After I've found one, I expressed my intention to tag along to the merchant caravan.

"So you want to tag along to the village of wells, sure since we're just passing by the village of wells" Said the leader of this merchant Caravan, Merlin. "Thank you very much Mr. Merlin" I thanked him.

As I sat on top of the carriage as we leave magnolia through the west gate. Mr. Merlin's merchant caravan consist of three carriages. Apparently Mr. Merlin is a magical creature merchant where he buys Local magical creatures and sell them again in the capital in an increased price.

*November 10, Year 771* *Noon*

It's been 2 days since we departed and there's only 1 day left till we reach the village of wells, where I will depart from this carriage to complete my job. As we passed the road surrounded by tall grass, I hear a loud shouting from the grass as a green shadow blocked the road.

After we stopped I see 12 big Bandits wearing green leather clothing, at the front 3 more noticeable bandits wearing green cloaks. As I looked at them they started composing a poem?

"This road was paved by me." The Left one said.

"This grass was planted by me." The right one said.

"If you want to pass this road you have to pay a fee." The middle one said with his eyes shining with greed as he looked at the three carriages.

This skit was really funny, It's almost comparable to team rocket's trio skit. The only thing they lacked is some poses I guess?

Anyway the fight started but the bodyguards side is on the loosing side, because they only have 10 members while the bandits have 15 members. I waited by the sidelines as I watched them fight, After 10 or so minutes I got bored watching it so I made a move.

Krii~ Krii~

They got distracted by the sudden noise, They look at where the noise came from. What they saw shocked them especially the bandits, the weak looking 5 years old child is actually a wizard. The bandits has noticed this child from the beginning but they ignored him since he is a child.

I had 5 totems flying around me as I indifferently ordered the 5 totems to rush at them.

"Soldiers! Knock them out quickly." With the drop of my last word the totems shined with a greenish light as they quickly rush at the bandits.

Thud*X 15

Silence filled the area as they watched the bandits fell with black markings on their forehead. The guards and merchants looked at each other astonished that the seemingly weak child is such a strong wizard.

Krii~ Krii~

Accompanied by the sound of falling bodies to the ground the totems quickly rushed back to me as the greenish light faded. 'That was pretty easy.' I thought. 'Well they are just normal humans not a magician so it makes sense.'

As the silence lasted for another minute, they finally snapped out of astonishment as they looked at me with awe. Mr. Merlin the leader of this caravan got out of the carriage and ran to my side and looked at me with awe and gratitude.

"Thank you for the help, Young John". Mr. Merlin thanked me. "It's nothing I just happen to be here on the right time." I replied to him.

After Thanking me profusely he fished out a stack of 1,000 jewels from his pocket and handed it to me. " I know it's nothing much to you, but for me I could have died. So please accept this 20,000 Jewels as a thank you from me." I accepted the money since I needed money to buy a house in Magnolia or at least rent one.

"Then can we get back on the road Mr. Merlin." " Yes young John. You heard that tie the bandits up and get back on the road." Yelled Mr. Merlin to his men.

After they have tied up the bandits and started to move to the Village of Wells. I sat on the top of the carriage again as we move along the road.

Before night fell we have reached the Village of Wells, I slept on the room that Mr. Merlin insisted on renting. I slept early to prepare for the job that I need to do tomorrow.

*November 11, Year 771* * Morning *

As I wake up I washed up and brushed my teeth and then ate breakfast with Mr. Merlin. As we separated he yelled to me "Go to the Capital to Find me when you have time Young John!" After the farewell with the merchant caravan I went straight to the village's chief house.

Thud* Thud*

As I stopped at his door, I knocked on it. It opened with a creak as a middle aged man came to the door. " Why are you here little kid?" He asked.' Even though I'm a kid outside it still irritates me to get called a little kid.'

"I'm here for the wolf extermination quest Mr. Village chief." His eyes widened with surprised, but returned to normal after a few seconds. " Come in." He invited me to his house.

"Thank god someone finally accepted the quest. Two more families died at the attack of the wolves, if no one came we would be forced to raise the reward for this job." He said to me as we sat opposite each other.
