Chapter 79: Tower of Heaven Arc (1)

Tower of Heaven…
The Tower of Heaven is straight, neat, and very symmetrical. The entire building was comprised of many differently shaped sections stacked one upon the other, many of these segments being built from brick and containing large windows and doors.
The Tower of Heaven, also known as the R-System, is a taboo Magic Item that can be used to revive a deceased person…
With its twisted body and sporadically jutting sides, the Tower of Heaven appeared very chaotic and asymmetrical. The bottom and main body of the tower were comprised of overlapping and intertwining lengths of metal tubes that wound together from the ground and straight up into the sky.
These giant pipes were held together through a series of smaller tubes that linked the main sections as well as many differently sized and shaped golden decorations that looped over and around the frame of the tower, adding to its unruly presentation. Around the main form of the building a twisted staircase wound, rising around the tower, and leading to the throne room at the top.
The already mentioned throne room also added to the disorderly nature of the building, appearing as a giant green sphere encased in a crystal. The surface of the sphere was uneven and blotchy, being decorated with several red eye-shaped symbols, marked in a circle just above the room's circumference.
Additionally, many sharp crystals were protruding from the green sphere, each one of them pointing randomly from the room and appearing to have been literally grown through the sides of the walls.
Keeping these crystals in place was a detailed metal band, which ran around the length of the room. Right at the very top of the tower, another little metal structure protruded, this being a twisted golden cone.
And inside the top of the Tower of Heaven stood Jellal a young man whose most prominent features are his blue hair and a red tattoo above and under his right eye, which he has had since his childhood.
Sitting on his throne Jellal smirks coldly shaking in anticipation for the promised day in confidence filling his tone, "It's almost time… the time has come for you to pay Erza. The revival of Zeref is at hands but to bring the best amount of suffering against you…"
Observing the Communication Lacrima showed some pictures of Silva and Erza on dates a cold smirk appeared on his face tapping his finger on his Lacrima, "And who else than the man you love? Even if by mere interest just him causing you this much happiness is enough to threaten you to come if injuring him or worse here would be enough to entice you."
Jellal merely waited patiently with a cold smile on his face awaiting his chance…
Placing his elbow on the chair raising his hand as a support leaning his head voicing out in sheer arrogance of his goals, "I have planned everything to come. I made sure to get you one way or another. There's no one in your group who is strong enough to defeat me but you, however, you are too weak to stop me even if you tried. Hahahaha…"
A new day soon arises as it becomes September 15 resting his eyes for the upcoming day to come…

Ahh…
Waking up morning today is the day when the Tower of Heaven Arc is going to happen. I already have prepared my fighting skills for this fight.
And I have my Archer trained proficiently at the ready to face off against groups with sparing with him myself.
Getting myself ready for the upcoming fight I began to prepare for the upcoming fight ahead of me.
Speak of the devil and the quest screen pops up shall appear.

Seems like an actual good harvest this time around with more items and some I haven't even heard of before.
Must be pretty good items though if they count as bonus rewards. That and Pumpkin would be a great addition for my Archer to use.
Regardless though it seems like everything seems to have gone according to the plot so far with Loke's condition being solved by Lucy not needing me to interfere.
Since it's almost time in the morning I might as well go ahead and prepare for my trip to Akane Beach chilling in a resort. Everyone needs a break once and a while before the fight ahead of me at least.
Getting ready for the day I began to pack up ready with a bright cheery smile on my face.
Perhaps I should take the train finish up my daily request and begin adjusting my stats for the upcoming fight ahead. Maybe perhaps join up with Team Natsu.
Hmm…
On second thought I'll leave it as a surprise to see me around. It's not like me just joining at the start would mean much but for now I'll settle with some alone time to properly strategize.
I'll wait a bit first and take the train this time around to have a trail for me to follow since the last few days I have felt someone stalking me and when I found out it was Juvia I hid my smirk mentally.
The plan is coming together.

Really must thank Ur for finally returning the 100,000J I lent to her. After she got some work again and enough to support herself, she returned the 100,000J I lent to her during the time of training when she looked for me.

Judging from the stats I have shown already have my AGI decently high in the 100s with LUCK being a close second to my rising stat.
I could place it all on LUCK again to gain an additional passive skill. But I also need to start investing in other categories as well.
But also, another small issue would be my Lacrima's for my Archer. With them on he could stand a better chance fighting with the passive effects when equipped. Since I have my AGI over 100 I should be good.
Perhaps I should recheck on my Lacrima's that give me buffs to see how I can handle them properly in battle since they only activate during fights.
Lacrima of the Fire Dragon +15 to STR and VIT.
Lacrima of the Celestial Wizard +15 to AGI and LUCK with effects of increasing damage dealt when the user only has 10% of HP remaining.
Lacrima of the Knight +15 to VIT and AGI with effects of increasing damage dealt by 10% whenever the user HP is at 50% or lower.
Ice Crystal Lacrima +15 to STR and AGI with effects of increasing damages dealt by 10% and increasing MP Cost by 20%.
Lacrima of the Scholar +15 to STR and INT with effects of reducing damage received by 1% x number of elemental Res. Up buffs applied.
Lacrima of the Demon +15 to STR and VIT with effects of 20% more likely to KO opponent when damage is dealt.
Looks like I haven't been using much of my Lacrima's as I wanted best to change which ones I should carry on while upgrading my stats.
For now, I won't need the Lacrima of the Celestial Wizard considering my LUCK and AGI are high enough so giving it to my Archer would do some good along with Ice Crystal Lacrima because of the increase of 20% MP Cost.
The Lacrima of the Scholar is one I don't really need to be equipped with, and I don't have any buff-based elemental skills for it to match sadly enough. That one goes to my Archer but the rest however I'll keep for now.
And speaking of which stats I would need guess I'll go all around with STR, VIT, INT, and SEN adding 6 to each evenly for the time being.
Fixing up my equipment and summoning up my Archer handing over the 3 other Lacrima I took notice of the boost of which items were equipped causing me to smile going over the results handed.

At least I feel at ease with Archer having some good stats to add on while I have my own to work with.
Returning my Replica back into my <Archive Magic> as I lay down on the beach side of the sand with my towel covering my backside relaxing with nothing going astray so far.
Relaxing my eyes closed I took a small time to gather my thoughts together after the Tower of Heaven Arc should be the battle of Fairy Tail next on October 15th I believe.
That should get me enough time to grind whatever stats I need to depend on against Laxus or his group soon enough.
For now, I should focus on how I should deal with Erza's friends as well as take care of the following series of events.
One misstep is all it takes to screw up. And my skills have gained a good degree of strength over the course of time developing and increasing their levels.
Especially my spearman practice developing that one skill from that manga scene with Grand Chariot.
The only thing I fear is fear itself if I let those kinds of thoughts wander in my head –

Suddenly I felt someone attack me with a stick my eyes opened to see Lucy looking shocked removing her blindfold in her bikini and quickly apologizing, "Ah!! I'm so sorry Silva I thought Natsu directed me to squash a watermelon!!"
Directing my eyes over to the Salamander and Ice Boy laughing at my misfortune, "Gyahahaha!"
Slowly directing my eyes over Lucy I give them a head start in a cold and yet calm tone, "You 3 have about a head start of 10 seconds before I freeze you two and Gray burned up… 10… 9… 8…"
*Shiii*
Feeling the cold from my <Cryokinesis> Lucy ran away apologizing as she ran feeling the chill away from incoming danger, "I'm so sorry!!!"
However, Gray and Natsu merely laughed activating their Magic Power in defiance as I couldn't help myself giving them their just desserts.
Maybe a slight change of mind will do the trick…
