Chapter 187: Preparations for the Games! (2)

~Silva K. POV~

[April 2, X791]

Listening to everyone busy training for the games they'll have their hands full trying to grasp the 7 years they've been gone.

And for me?

I haven't been to the Grand Magic Games myself because I promised to only participate when everyone was around.

Pretty selfish request but one that I'll gladly hold when the time comes for their return.

Walking down the streets of Magnolia Town I couldn't help but think what I should do next.

While walking down I sensed someone's magic power signature before responding a bit confused trying to get my attention, "Jellal?"

Walking around the correct path I soon see Jellal, Ultear, and Meredy. Meredy smirked once Jellal's Magic Power came down, "See Jellal? The guy would sense you out by drawing him out here."

I gave the 3 a deadpan expression in a neutral tone giving them an easier way, "You know you could've just asked."

Meredy chuckled as Jellal sighed finally responding to my reply in a neutral tone, "I apologize for the inconvenience but we hear you finally participating in the Grand Magic games correct Silva?"

Raising an eyebrow I curtly nodded as Ultear asked in a curious tone of the odd Magic in the area, "In that case have you noticed the odd Magic around the games then?"

Not denying it I shrugged giving them the answer hardening their eyes, "You mean Zeref's Magic? Then yeah."

Understanding my acknowledgment Jellal continued explaining agreeing with my assertion that this odd magic may be connected to Zeref, "It's just as we fear. Every year during the festival, we sense a very odd style of Magic."

Ultear nodded supporting Jellal's claim in understanding but gazing at me with hints of curiosity of how I knew, "We thought it was suspicious magic from previous games. But I can tell Zeref's Magic from anywhere meeting the cruel man… but how do you know it was Zeref specifically?"

Shrugging at this I replied I met the man during Mavis's grave in a calm tone giving them my reasoning as to why I didn't inspect it too much, "It was during the Trials meeting him at Mavis's grave leaving him when I had the chance. The magic he had was foul and strangely found the same thing around the games just didn't bother simply thought it was suspicious magic from previous games."

They nodded at my reasoning as Ultear continued to speak their mission surprising me, "We want to know what is behind that magic. We were given our orders to investigate it under King Fiore's orders."

My eyes widened surprised by who as Jellal explained further the purpose keeping me shocked by the news, "Correct. After seeing our handler Lahar over the years his Majesty trusted two Saint Wizard-level people on the job. Given the light of this news investigating the cause might clue to tracking down Zeref himself."

Meredy tilted her head cutely rooting for us to win anticipating our victory with me on the team in a confident tone, "Of course, this request has nothing to do with the games. We'll be rooting for Fairy Tail."

Wait…

I paused considering their words before I finally responded in a curious tone towards the group curiosity striking me giving the information, "Hold up. If this is so secretive then why have you guys come to see me?"

Realizing this Ultear began to explain to me as I crossed my arms wondering why they needed my confirmation, "You see other than a select few we betted that you had some connection or did not encounter Zeref. Meredy idea."

She had a smug grin on her face exclaiming in a proud tone, "And I called it!"

Scratching the back of my head I don't know what to feel being suddenly called like that knowing the situation without asking confused, "Okay so you bet that I may be connected? But why though?"

At this, Ultear sighed responding in a neutral tone to the issue, "Sigh… need I ask? Because trouble seems to follow you."

Huh?

Blinking surprised Jellal scratches the back of his head further supporting Ultear's claims with beads of sweat falling, "Of course. It seems like you have a knack of trouble following you sir Knights. It does seem like that to you."

Lifting a finger to disprove that lie I came up short of a few words.

Pausing placing my hand over my chin till I responded realizing their point, "Shit. You have a point."

Meredy smugly grinned at her victory as they turned around to leave talking to Jellal in a victorious tone, "Hehehe…! Redeem and week Jellal! Told you asking the guy would know what happens getting reliable info."

Jellal rolls his eyes but hands her jewels.

Poor bastard.

But before they left Ultear did give me one tip as they left me a job to do in a kind tone, "Oh! Almost forgot but his majesty requested that you would assist in this endeavor. Seemingly you know a lot of information regarding this know-it-all."

I rolled my eyes at her antics but I grinned seeing I would get the chance to ruin a bad guy's plans turning around, "Yeah, yeah. Tell his majesty no worries. I'll be there to oversee but I'll do things my way to get things done ya hear?"

They nodded understanding to part the message as I shook my head at them. I began to leave them alone considering what I should do next…

Hmm…

Maybe hang out with the other members to chill.

Pondering this idea closing my fist and opening it I thought out loud walking down the streets of Magnolia Town, "Wonder how the games will go this time around with everyone here?"

Walking down the streets I began to wave and say hello to the folks coming my way on what to do next.

I trained hard and even needed to do more. But the question is should I just deal with the remaining threats solo?

I mean I'm powerful already to pull that off. Although I wonder… Bah.

Shaking my head, I know I'm strong. I just wonder if my enemies are too weak for me to confront.

Walking down the streets I noticed the Thunder Tribe and Strauss Family packing things up as I caught them talking to them in a curious tone, "Oh? Seems like you guys are already heading out to train for the Grand Magic Games?"

Turning their gazes towards me they nodded as Elfman was the first to thank me for paying their rents for the past 7 years, "Yeah man! We heard how much you've done for the guild with your clone. And paying up for each of us our rent we seriously don't know how to repay you for it."

Scratching the back of my head at Elfman's claim I sheepishly brush it off in a lighthearted tone, "Nah man. It was the least I could do for you guys stuck in the sphere at the time. Had to make sure you guys have a home to return to after all."

To my surprise though Mira suggested something that made me doubt my life out of her mouth surprising the group with her genuine tone, "Okay then mister how about this? I'll take you on a date after the Grand Magic Games. Hopefully, you join the other team and deal. Teehee…"

I don't like the way she licked her lips lightly.

*Shiver*

I felt a chill run down my spine making me feel not-so-good feelings.

The group soon walked away hearing Laxus from an earshot muttering as he shook his head almost pitying me, "Oh that poor bastard. Hope he wins otherwise the loser of the team must face the punishment game."

Why the heck would I pay – crap. I froze on the spot. I recognized immediately what Mira meant since this happened in canon. Oh bloody, hell.

Memories of Mira humiliating Erza spanking her ass for the world to see in a maid outfit immediately comes to mind….

My expression turns serious as I mutter to myself in a serious tone, "I need the grind."

I need to grind leveling up.

I suppose I should do 'that' method. A clear farming method to increase my levels… Yes, the 'Demon' farm is a go.

Using <AOE > to create a compass leading me to where my heart desires it's time to torture some demons. And this will be free of charge.

Preparing my nerves, it's time to meet the Tartaurs. The purge of demons (except Natsu and Mira of course) is at hand.

Time for a holy war. The grind shall not be stopped!

I'm going to enjoy this too much than I should.

Muhahaha!!!

~Third POV~

Tartaros is one of the three most powerful Dark Guilds in the world, forming a third of the former Balam Alliance, alongside Oración Seis and Grimoire Heart for its time. Being comprised mostly of Etherious, Demons from the Books of Zeref, Zeref refers to the guild as his bookshelf.

Silva finds himself at the location finding the Main Tartaros building from a distance coldly smirking down upon the demons.

The Tartaros guild convenes in a large building located in what appears to be a barren wasteland. Standing among the rocky landscape, the building takes the form of a giant, slightly ruined, castle.

The structure itself is very big, containing at least three separate sections all atop one another. The two main bodies of the castle are noticeably square and decorated with numerous crenulations, whilst the turrets and roof of the castle are more curved, their balustrade lined with decorative machicolations and their spires topped with fancy ornaments.

At the gate to the castle stand two large statues. Surrounding the Tartaros headquarters and protruding from the rock are a number of spines, these appearing quite large in size. Whether they are part of the natural landscape or were put there is unknown.

Observing the situation Silva muttered to himself quietly detecting the presence of demons closer to his location, "<Observe >."

[Cube Lv.50 Zeref's Demons]

[Location: Cube

Description: Serving as home to Mages of Tartaros, Cube is a massive, buoyant cubed island that harbors several rocky terrains spread about on its surface. The largest structure is, undoubtedly, one of its many landscapes accommodating Tartaros' headquarters.]

This castle itself is located on a floating island, named, as well as shaped like a Cube.

The demons approaching Silva's location arrogantly responded to him, "You inferior filthy human – !"

However, once the demons recognized the strongest mage landed on their territory all the color was drained from their faces as Silva responded playfully, "Ah…. I did promise myself to make you guys my EXP farm one day. Guess it's a good time as any to start the grind. But please make this entertaining."
