Chapter 8: 8-Island

The town looked simple, and there were not that many people compared to Clover Town. Though the atmosphere was peaceful and happy. You could see kids playing and running around.

In a carriage, four handsome young men could be seen sitting together.

Eve: "Ah! Kaden I almost forgot!"

I snap out of my daydream and look at Eve.

Kaden: "Huh?"

Eve: "I forgot to explain, as you're new to this. We do these flashy introductions with our own cool poses." Eve looks at Hibiki and Ren, as they immediately get the idea.

I didn't know how but suddenly it got really dark in the carriage. Suddenly I hear what seems to be three big light switches turning on. The three of them had a spotlight shone on them.

"Trimens!" the three of them said in unison.

"Hibiki of the Hundred Nights!" he says, as he had his arms crossed with two fingers close together pointing up. He had his head tilted and then he winked at me. There was some kind of twinkle emitting from him.

"Eve of the Holy Night!" as he too sparkles, with his two fingers together and pointing at me.

"Ren of the Silent Night." his voice sounded pretty cold, and he had his hand slightly covering his right eye. It sort of reminded me of Owain, but Ren's hand was vertical. I just kept wondering where the twinkling was coming from as I stare at the three of them

Hibiki: "If you're wondering how we are twinkling..." he takes out a vial from his pocket. "Mr.Ichiya gave us this, and it's called Twinkle Parfume!" I stare at them in awe.

Eve: "Kaden you have to think about what kind of 'night' you are!"

Kaden: "How did you guys choose?..."

Hibiki: "There was rumors of me having multiple girlfriends at the same time. So '...the Hundred Nights' is referring to how many woman I spent the night with" he says proudly.

Eve: " Since I liked to womanize by using my disposition of being a young man, I went with '...the Holy Night' " he smiles with embarrassment.

Ren: "I use air magic, and my favorite thing to do, is to disable enemies by lowering the oxygen around them. I also don't talk much... '... the Silent night' suits me" he looks to the side with a "hmph"

I looked at the three as my mouth starts to twitch, and the one with the most normal story surprisingly was Rens.

Hibiki: "Anyway make sure you get a good idea, as you'll be introducing yourself last." He gives me a dozen vials of Twinkle Parfume.

I look at the batch of vials in my hands thinking, 'how many times do they introduce themself like that to people?'

Eve: "Now let's practice saying 'Quadmens!' together," he says smiling at me.

I knew at the moment he said that, I was going to regret everything, and that this was going to be a very long carriage ride...

As the carriage stops, and I look out only to see a store that was in front of me. It looked newly built, it had big windows, and you could see there was another floor above the first. On the very top on the building was a big sign that said...

'8-Island, that means Yajima retired from the Magic Council and the Tower of Heaven's arc past already... Looks like we are going to face the Oración Seis soon...'

I step out of the carriage and down the street, I see the port and the big wide ocean.

Hibiki: "Your first time at Hargeon?"

I only nod. As the only places, I've been to was that forest and Clover Town. Though I've been to a few towns due to some of the quests I only stayed there for a few minutes, and then complete it as quickly as I can. I haven't been to any notable ones from the anime.

The bakery would open around lunchtime and I could only do quests in the morning. I had no time to explore, but I knew I would have a lot of time in the future.

Eve: "Beautiful town isn't it?" he smiles

'So our quest is to work here huh...'

[Ding!]

The old man is pitiful... retired from the Magic Council and doesn't get many customers.

I look at the quest and get excited.

'Title? Is it going to be another feature?'

The four of us head inside and we were greeted by Yajima.

Yajima: "I'm so glad to have you four" he smiles at us with stars in his eyes. He looks at me and gives a sly smirk.

I already knew he wants to use our popularity to attract customers, but I didn't care as I had already planned to do so.

Kaden: "Is it ok if I perform a song?"

Yajima and the others look at me, as Hibiki already gets what I'm trying to do and smiles at me.

Yajima: "Of course!" He gives a big wide smile, as he already heard of 'Blue Pegasus' Songster' and the great reputation behind it.

Hibiki: "This is going to be a very busy day..."

Eve didn't quite understand, but he knew something big is going to happen because of Hibiki's words. Ren, however, somewhat understood my intentions and confirmed it when he heard what Hibiki said.

The four of us got into the restaurant uniforms. Our looks already attracted many female customers in the first hour. Four handsome young men can be seen serving women of all ages that looked like they were going to eat us.

While Eve and Ren were outside trying to attract more customers. Cherry blossom petals could be seen flying around the first floor of the restaurant. The customers were in awe, as the pretty pink winds that made the pink petals float around made a pretty sight.

As then they were suddenly converging to the back of the restaurant, the wind and petals were forming a big pink ball, and suddenly...

Poof! It explodes gently outward, and in it emerges a young handsome man holding a guitar that was made of wood, and sitting on a wooden stool.

[Acting]... [Modeling]...

His gentle light pink eyes and soft smile, the light and his posture made the people look at him in the best angles, his incredibly handsome face that outshines the other three, and an aura that made him look like he was royalty.

Ba-dump!...

The young ladies couldn't even scream, as they had their heart stuck in their throats. All the women in the room were blushing. They all thought one thing... 'Is this prince charming from those fairy tales real?'

The people around stopped eating and they were staring at Kaden. His voice that sounded pleasant to the ears was nothing compared to the sound of his voice when he starts singing. It felt ethereal, as they could see illusions of a young boy and girl happily playing together.

The instrument not only complimented his singing but it gave out a tune that made people feel an impact of sad emotions from the song.

[Musician]...

Ren and Eve were trying their hardest outside to attract customers and they too were in a daze when they heard Kaden singing. His voice could be heard 300 yards away from the restaurant in all directions.

As the people kept walking to where the voice was coming from. It soon became a full house of people listening to him seeing and enjoying food. The atmosphere was melancholic but cheerful at the same time.

"Ameagari no sora no you na kokoro ga hareru youna

Kimi no egao wo oboete iru omoide shite egao ni naru

Kitto futari wa ano hi no mama mujakina kodomo no mama

Meguru kisetsu wo kakenukete iku sorezore no ashita wo mite"

The pink petals and wind surrounding Kaden made people gaze at him for a long time as if he was a pleasant painting to look at. They watched the illusions as if the song was telling them a story.

When the song ended people were cheering. The number of people inside the restaurant was no joke. Hibiki, Ren, and Eve. Finding it difficult to serve all of the customers, as it was only 3 of them. As Yajima was busy cooking and couldn't help them.

Kaden helped out too, and when people saw Sparky having trouble holding a plate of food, they looked at it with awe. While some women wanted to pinch its cheeks, but they were holding back because they knew it could use magic due to Blue Pegasus' mark on its back.

With the help of Kaden and his [Butler] skill. The amount of pressure the other three had was lessened. The three looked at Kaden in awe, as he looks like a professional waiter. They began to idolize him more and wondered who he learned from and if Kaden knew what they were thinking. He wouldn't mind telling them, but he would be too shy and embarrassed to talk about it.

He handled the customers with ease, and the people who stared at Kaden serving them couldn't help but be impressed. The young girls wanted to know if he was single, and some didn't care if he was taken, or not and started flirting with him.

It was finally closing time and some people were disappointed that they couldn't get in the restaurant. Though they'd likely come back again.

A few days after the quest, The Quadmens name was known by a lot of people, as Eve kept spreading it about in the restaurant, and every time he went on quests.

Ichiya was proud of us, and tells us that he was sorry for not being there, and helping out due to losing track of time when he was working on parfumes.

When I arrived at the guild, everyone has gathered around, and they had serious looks on their faces.

"At the meeting the other day, we discussed the recent activity by the Oración Seis" Guild Master Bob announced.
