How I would've finished the story, Pt 5 Finale

After overthrowing the government and allowing Treychla in, Kane went to see Cassy.

After a month more of dating, Cassy broke up with him.

Kane was a lot colder and more calculating than he used to be. His fun jokes and snide remarks were gone, after everything he'd been through and learned, Kane felt safer minimizing his emotions. He didn't want to let himself feel the weight of all the lives he'd taken and lost.

He looked back at the week he'd spent on Eyes of Ember, he couldn't tell if he regretted it or not.

Much worse would've happened if Kane didn't become so powerful and get involved, and he wouldn't have the power he does now, but just maybe his life could've gone unchanged.

It was a selfish desire, maybe the last he had. He gave his goodbyes to Cassy, just thankful she was still untouched by it all, and left to help rebuild the country.

A few years were spent helping Treychla undo the propaganda and brainwashing set upon the nation, a few more passed as the law was completely reformed and a stable new government was established.

As Kane turned 28, Treychla finally saw fit to sign a peace treaty with the new country and leave.

After a few years helping people, Kane had a little bit of time to heal. He was able to ease up on suppressing his emotions and at long last grieve for his father.

With himself now as the ultimate existence in the world, he'd gotten bored of normal life.

Another 3 years were spent experimenting with his power, particularly on increasing his mana capacity and learning to survive the vacuum of space.

And with that, Kane approached the entrance of one of the many wormholes at the edge of the planet, and slipped inside.
