5. Mafia!!

In a basement somewhere in an abandoned area, a man was tied to a chair and was full of wounds all over his body.

"Well you really did well keeping your mouth shut till now but I don't understand what are you benefitting from this." A man with a mask covering his nose said while looking at the man on the chair. "Okay let's do this one last time."

He out stretched his hand and a small blue whirlpool appeared and a dagger came out from the whirlpool. "As you can see this dagger is coated in the neurotoxin of an alligator snail king. We all know what this toxin does to the body right." He paused. "Heighten all your senses by 100 especially that of sensitivity. Now then I'm sure this will break through your hard turtle shell."

The man traced the dagger across the skin of the man as cuts started to appear. The toxin seeped through the wounds. After a few minutes, the man's veins could be seen bulging as his body contracted due to the pain he was feeling.

The pain hit him like a wave from all the injuries he had sustained. From missing nails to several cuts all over his body to bruises and swollen areas all over his body.

The door of the basement swung open and Hanks walked into the room. He looked at the work of his subordinate and said, "Darcio it's only been a year and a half since you joined our ranks and your this ruthless already. Can't say am not pleased." These few words carrying a sense of pride upon seeing the handiwork done.

Darcio pulled down his mask and said, "Boss I never expected you here!"

"Well someone else will take over from here. I want you to go relax and get ready. In a week we shall have an expendition and you need to be present." Hanks said while placing a hand on the shoulder of Darcio.

"Okay boss!"

Darcio left the room without hesitation and got in a black car and drove back to the city.

Darcio was back at his new apartment and was standing under the shower as warm water poured over his toned body that gained volume and luster ever since he started to eat and live well. However over some parts of his body, scars from his constant gang fights could be seen.

He turned the shower off and stepped out and stood Infront of the mirror and wiped his body dry. He then tied the towel around his waist and stepped out of the bathroom. Darcio looked at himself within the mirror and sighed.

"Status window!" He commanded and a blue translucent panel appeared Infront of his face.

Looking at his stats, he frowned and sighed.

He headed out of the bathroom and walked to where his bedroom is.

Suddenly the house door opened and his sister entered the house. She saw Darcio and ran towards him and gave him a big hug.

"I missed you brother !" Said Audrina. "It looks like being a hunter gives you deep pockets and less time to see me. Hmph!" She exclaimed while puffing out her cheeks.

"Hehe! Sorry sorry." He chuckled while patting her hair. "Don't worry this big brother of yours will give you a treat. How about we go out and eat?"

"Hmmm. Alright you win this time but I'll not forgive you that easily next time."

"Okay I promise to see you more often then."

Audrina pulled away from Darcio with a huge grin on her face and playfully kissed him on the cheek.

A/n: sorry for the very late update I've been busy with some tests and hopefully they are done plus I was also losing the motivation of typing up some more work.

PS... I know I started with an over 1500 word count and the chapters have become shorter by the day but fear not I got motivated and in the near future I'll add more words to the chapters
