Chapter 4 (Demon's First Appearances)

"mom, when will you back?"

"probably noon dear, we'll go to work take care of your baby brother.."

Inside the cradles I stared at my dissappearing parents back slamming the door outside. As always the old ones are busy to tend their farm. I was already a few months old, I could now crawl and talk. I was tended by my older brother looking at the children running outside I yearn to go outside. As a transmigrator I wanna see the world its so tiring going back as a baby. Turning my back I was met to met with a golden haired donkey apparently he's my "brother".

"Here.." the golden donkey handed me a piece of milk and a few more things before looking at me back and locking the door outside. I smiled at him. The holden donkey stuck out its tongue and proceeded to draw something in paper he was sitting at a chair near me. I felt my brow twitched, as usual he was hard to please. He's not that bad really just a TSUNDERE.

Ignoring him I lay down at my crib and proceeded to start sucking my milk. For the last days I found out, I can absorb a the little particles I discovered floating in air. It's the thing called this world "mana".

Jaden closed the screen after being put on the cradles..without enough strength and wit you'll be killed easily..

These world is full of mystery.. Every minutes someone would be die.. Even the place he got placed into was already hazard enough to be treated like a livestock.. He need Strength and information..every players was randomly Transmigrated into a place.. Somehow the system doesn't give any more access or anything. Only status and Chat group, there's not even a system shop, trade points, or transactions store. According to the instructions we need to plunder resources what is resources?.. Jaden felt disappointed with his past self for not studying enough...

I was woken up by a loud knocking on the door. The room was death silences, only a sound of storm brewing outside. based on its knock it came from the door outside in living room making me frown.. "it's not dad or mom, shhh-" I was met with my brothers arm picking me up, we look at each other frowning as much as I hate this brother of mine he was proven to be smart at a young age. He may look silly and ugly from me but he had a half brain of adult not quite like other kids like his age. Jaden stayed silent, he was left numb looking at the glowing blue marks of dagger left by the captain of guard for me. The only possible reason it's growing is there's a demon nearby.. My mind felt enlightened as I look outside the windows my heart races from nervousness, since Transmigration I haved a heightened senses especially the hearing.. I heard a hurried footsteps all over the town... They are many making me fear from the unknown.. Why is there so many Demon's in here its not a night yet.. Regularly they will roam in here at past 8pm o clock.

"did you lock the doors donkey" I asked in my child like voice looking at my brother in nervousness. These creatures are restless.. My ears twitched as I heard it sniff around he was in the kitchen windows a few room away from our place.. Somehow I was thankful for my abilities sadly I can't use the formula yet..

"didn't father had a spare of magic talisman, donkey..?" i said in whisper looking around tightening my hold in his shirt. Gray nodded forgetting my insults. He carried me slowly into our parents balcony. "yeah, I'll put you here, wait" gray hide him inside the vase closing it up Jaden nodded he can't help anyway he's feet grown weak, he can't even breathe properly from fear. "don't be seen by them, those freaks are never giving up once they saw a human," Jaden warned the older kid in serious voice despite in small voice. This is new to him even knowing there is kind of freaks in here.

It's difficult to accept it and it's different to experience it in real time..

"this is insane, I wanna wake up!" Jaden cursed in his mind repeatedly and also felt shameful did the kid has more courage than him?.. It hurts..

A few scratches of glasses on the windows immediately sounded into the silent room making the sibling hugged tighter from nervousness. The scratching was getting louder and louder, making the ground shake like some mammals are running.

"kekeke-youre always dumbest, stop touching the windows, those tricky humans always put those despicable things in there." a creepy old voice laughed at his partner outside. There voice can cause any normal kids to cry, as the winds masked or enhance the sound they produced to be differentiated by human standards.

" shit!, my backs on fire.. Sluggish help me! "the same old voice who laughed cried in agony as the stormy rain poured harder making the sound get silence.

" morons, there's a human next door.!! "a powerful voice called the duo. making the rustles gone.

After a few minutes the room was get back into normal like nothing happened only some paper sticking at the windows was not there before...

" there gone,I think they trotted in Darfel's house" I called my brother back after opening the lid of vase.. I saw my brother Crunching behind the wall holding a pair of talismans.. "how do you know?" gray asked in confusion as he peeked at the dark place outside. "I heard it".. Jaden scratch his nose smiling sheepishly at the suspicious look he gave him.. He turned embarrassed, he immediately put his hands up like a boss.. He picked me up as we peeked at the same time at the windows filled with talisman. "should we help them..?" gray asked his brother in nervousness he didn't see yet the creatures but after feeling their attacks he felt he got a mental scars this day..

They are both worried about their parents who didn't yet show up. Looking at the clock it's past six pm and only two hours before the usual time the Demon's lurked at night. They are confused about the sudden attacks. Is it becouse of the storm Jaden looked at the mad skies, along with the storm down pouring outside. He prayed his parents got home safe.he already like them even in few months.

The black mist was still in the while town, somehow I felt the "ki" more thicker making my body warmer.. Closing my eyes I shoke my head answering my brother, helping them now was akin to a suicide attempt. Maybe we should wait until the rescuers arrived. I immediately closed my eyes to cultivate, I don't know why is this happening but it's a waste to not get advantage of this mana flush.. As I closed my eyes I saw a few shiny particles swarming towards me.

As the ki traveled to my veins and rushing to my heart, I felt pain as they spread out in my bones..

"tshhh*!

I swallowed a mouthful of air to lessen the pain, I wanna stop it but sadly the ki madly rush in my bones making me sick.. I sit crossed for how many hours I felt my body stretches and sticky, when I was about to stand up I was woken from a cry.

" Ahhh! "

An air piercing scream was heard outside, as the scream spread out in town, a swarm of footsteps immediately rush into that area. Jaden knew the Demon's was attracted by the girls shout.

" h-help!! "

Jaden slowly peeked outside the windows, surprisingly the most was clearer now, he can in the dark!. Feeling confused at the sudden change he immediately robbed his eyes. "what did you see?" he heard his brother asked also peeking at the windows, he turned to him and back outside the houses was eirily silent only a one house was in light. Jaden was striked at fear looking at the creatures swarming a house talking into a familiar small girl in the balcony windows. The creature was nimbly long with a bizarre legs and pair of long tail wiggling in slow manner what made him stopped his breath is the pair of long claws of it lift up in mid air, the demon was readying its harm to grab the girl waiting to open up the windows some was impatiently touching the glass only to wince in pain from the burn. They had dark skin tone making them blend at night, a pair of red eyes and sharp teeth.. "Is this the" demon witch they talking about, donkey they looked like a an animal.. "I asked in whisper beside me.

" I don't see anything, all I know is that they are femelas all though, they liked to kidnap boys to be human cauldron-.."i stopped my brothers mouth after sensing a demon witch looked at our place.

" why is the demon hunters not here yet are they dead.. "I whispered as my heart calmed down, Jaden was being carried by gray rooting into the walls hiding.

" Boom*!

A sound of shattering glass was heard into the kitchen making thier heart stopped. "s-shit" gray muttered, I felt constapitated in his butt. He knew the damn brother of his forget to put a talisman in there.

"kekekek-" a demon laughed in delight as it steps into the shattered glass looking for human.

"you're a genius donkey.!" I angrily said at gray who carried him, and looked at me in confusion.. I take back the word smart I said earlier he's mad dumb. How can he forget it in this situation. Now what? Fight it? Forget it, let's observe first.

I snapped at the claw gripping the door tightly, the demon emerged coming face to face at us, we both stared at it. The demon smiled at us like a prey.. All I can say it's fucking ugly.. What female it's fucking look like a dog dripping saliva..

My little brother felt chill down there, I don't wanna be a human couldron wait I am a baby maybe I can get sprayed my heart calmed down as I looked at outside... ,the demon approach us slowly..

"hi kids, wanna go with me?" an alluring voice comes out in its huge slit lips making me goosebumps..

How's that possible, I eyed the demon it has actually producing a black smoke.

"D-demon.." my brother muttered in fear..

*ding*!

A mechanical sound ring in my ear, the creatures immediately opened a screen above its head.

[ARAKAWA MIST: A sub- species of demon creatures lived in corrupted ki, they are Poisonous and likes to prey humans. They usually roam in the dark night in groups.

Weakness : LIGHT ELEMENTS, Thunder, Fire and magi.

Is this a game?, I was left confused studying the status of the demon.

"Pass me the talisman" I whispered but the demon heared as it looks at the duo in glare. As it madly rush at us.

"die, despicable human!" ,

"now!!" I shouted as he passed me the talisman in his shirt quickly.. It only takes a second before I scanned the papers and threw it in the enemy.. My breath hitched as the claws was only few centemeters away from my face.

*swish*!

"fuck off" slapping the demon with talisman was the coolest thing I do in my entire life, the demon was sent into fire making it try to rush anger everywhere.

*bam*!

We were slammed at the sofa harshly with its body, is it over I felt dizzy opening my eyes.

I looked at my unconscious brother, crawling out from his arm I saw the Arakawa still screaming from pain running aimlessly. I felt nervous if it's even calling its kin.

*SLAM*! "

" YOU TRICKY LITTLE BASTARD!! "

I run faster towards it threwing all kind of fire talisman on it to finish it off before it can even call back ups.

" why am I even afraid? "I was speechless on my self after finding I can faster than norm adult..

My gaze stock at my hands looking back at the fried demon.. I clenched it it maybe becouse of earlier ki. With sudden confidence I swiftly picked the black dagger to stab it in head.

F-fuck I am over powered..!

*swish*

The room grow silence, only a wind was heard and a dusty fire spread into the demon, gazing at the dagger he was standing awkwardly at the room, only broken windows, and furnitures was left.

We need to get out of here before others will come in place. Gray was still lying motionless he didn't even wake up after kicking him up. We need to hide in basement before the sun sit... Tomorrow morning the most should probably gone.

*Ding*

"I forget I am not normal human anymore.." I muttered awkwardly.. As the winds patted my back in the night.
