24 Level 3 Weapon

Lu Fan was currently inspecting a matte black beaded bracelet that had a silver accent. It looked insanely futuristic but all one could see was its cool features.

After looking for a bit, he placed it on his right wrist as his left already had his smartwatch.

This bracelet was the weapon he chose from the level 3 weapons card.

When he retrieved it, a list of weapons appeared in front of him.

They ranged from simple blades to huge cannons that could blast a country. But there were no space crafts.

It seems that even after 8 generations, humans have yet to master space.

But there were jets that could reach absurd heights and insane speeds. They could circle the world 10 times in less than an hour if need be.

But what he chose was this bracelet.

It was a kinetic weapon that used something similar to magnetism to launch the beads at insane speeds.

It could cover 10000 ft/s and each bead weighed 5 grams. With 18 beads, he was sure that he could at least defend himself against armed soldiers.

He did not know what the bead was made of, but it was directly linked to him and had an auto-defense feature.

But he could not bring himself to test it.

He had seen a demo video and its destructive capabilities were not proportionate to its size.

All he had to do was think about it and the beads would launch at the target instantly. No pushback or noise. And the bead would come back to him unless it was stuck somehow or more than a kilometer away from him.

He could not understand how technology could do this but failed to make space weapons.

But then again, with his [Extreme Academics] he knew that if even this was not achieved, then it'd be impossible to make space weapons.

The easiest weapons for space, are energy weapons. But that would require an insane amount of energy.

If he were to think rationally, he was sure that such energy generation capabilities were far away. It'd be impossible with less than 100 years.

That just leaves kinetic weapons. But this is also not an ideal option. How much initial energy would be required to launch a projectile in space?

And depending on the projectiles, the spacecraft also had to be made to accommodate such weapons.

There was no way a bead like the one he had could do much in space.

And if they wanted to go in this direction, then it made much more sense to make this type of weapon first.

With Mia's aid, he was able to figure out the workings, but it'd be a pipe dream to want to make such a weapon with today's technology.

Even the materials used were not found on the planet.

Such durable beads but only such little weight? Few metals could fit the bill. He had to go to space for such resources.

The same thing goes for the supercomputer he received.

[That is correct. Level 1 and Level 2 items can be made using resources found on the planet. Level 3 items can be made with resources found within your solar system. As for level 4, it is best not to think about that for now.]

He was also not ready to hear it.

The Level 1 construction card was as explained.

All he had to do was design a building that would normally cost 20% of his total assets to construct.

There were a lot of factors to consider when looking at the cost of construction.

One was the location. If he were to decide to build something in the middle of nowhere, he was sure that most of the money would be spent on the transportation of the materials and equipment.

If he were to do it under the sea, he was sure that it'd be a miracle if he got a small cubicle that he could move in.

The level of construction technology was also taken into consideration. Everything was linked to this. Including the materials.

But he had a lot of money and he was sure that this was not the last time he would receive such a card.

It was best to use it while he still had the interest and he could use this to test MIA's capabilities.

But first, he had to settle these troublesome matters.

The level 3 company card could in theory help him set up a company worth 80% of his total assets. But this was also tied to the level of technology.

Such a company would rival the top 100 but he was not going to set up a typical company. He could do that with his current wealth at any time.

Such a card was best used to set up a company that could even give him trouble to set up even if he had money.

The system would handle everything until the company was running on its own.

He could not imagine how that was going to be possible, but with what he had seen up till now, it would not be weird if it just popped out of nowhere with everything running and nobody would find it strange.

But he decided to wait.

There was nothing he could do about the technological level as of now. Actually, there was, but it'd take too much time.

He wanted to at least level up first before he could use it. At that time, his wealth in terms of money, knowledge, and connections would have increased.

All he could say at the moment was that he had to make something that would forcefully raise the technological level of the whole world. And that would require a lot of money.

And that was a company, not a research institution. He had to at least make a profit to keep the whole thing running.

At the moment, it was better to make sure that the Xtreme Companies, grew to Xtreme Group.

His current situation forced him to take a back-row seat and let others work for him, while he worked with the government.
