Harold's Loss

"Hmm, I wonder were Isabella is." I said to myself as I was walking down the road. "I hope she's safe." I muttered. "AUGUSTA!!!" I heard Isabella's voice yelling behind me. "Isabella?!" I said in surprise as I turned around. Immediately I was tackled with a hug that nearly took me to the ground. "Whoa easy don't tackle me." I said in surprise. "I'msosorryIdidntwanttoleaveyoubutmyhorse

tookoffandicouldn'tstopit!!! I'm sorry. I really am." said Isabella. "It's ok. I killed them all, so we dont have to worry about them again." I said. "you... what?!" exclaimed Isabella in disbelief. "Yep, I killed them so we dont gotta worry about them no more." I said back. "you liar." Said Isabella. "I'm not lying." I said with as serious a face I could muster. "Then show me the bodies." said Isabella.... --Sometime later-- "I... Wow..." Said Isabella. It had been nearly three hours since we went back and saw the bodies. She hadn't said a word since, till now, to shocked at the gruesome sight she saw. "That was... Disgusting." She finally finished. "I warned you." I replied with a smirk...

approximately 1,500 Kilometers away, three years ago.

"HAROLD!!!" Yelled an old lady who many hated. "Yes ma'am?" Harold replied respectfully with his head bowed. "Were you practicing with that sword again? I already told you that you were to be a farmer. I wont let my daughter marry you, unless your a farmer who can provide a large dowry and supply us food during the winter!" Said the old lady. N-no ma'am I was tilling the fields not trai- I mean playing with that old sword. I've lost it to be honest, I've no clue where it's gotten to." Said Harold who was afraid his marriage to Hanna might be canceled. "Good that thing was a waste of your time now go get back to work." Said the old lady. "Yes Ma'am replied harold quickly running to the fields to continue working...

--SOMETIME LATER--

DONG... DONG... DONG... Faintly Harold could hear a bell going off and screaming in the distance. Quickly he ran towards the village which was nearly a mile away. After getting halfway there he saw smoke rising in the air. "Quicker I have to be quicker!" Harold screamed to himself trying to reach the village. as Harold passed over the last hill what he saw horrified him. Nearly thirty, what looked like bandits, had attacked the village. "Fuck." Harold muttered. to himself. This wasnt the first time they've been attacked, in fact it's happened many times. But never by this many and they always had an early warning about a coming attack from a scout they had posted a couple miles up the road. But they must've killed the scout, seeing that nobody was warned about them before hand. Harold could hear the screams of woman and children from either being r**ed or stuck in burning houses. He heard footsteps behind him and saw a woman and three children running with a single bandit chasing behind them. Immediately Harold took action and ran at the man who saw Harold charging him and hefted his axe up, preparing to cut Harold in two. As soon as Harold was close enough the bandit swung his axe at Harold who turned his body to the side barely missing the axe by mere centimeters. Immediately Harold threw a punch at the man and felt and heard his nose crunching. the bandit stepped back but harold followed up with another punch to his face and the bandit tripped and dropped his axe. Immediately Harold grabbed the axe and swung it hitting the bandit in the middle of his head and chopping clean through. When Harold was done with the bandit the woman and children were nowhere to be seen. So harold set off to the village trying help save as many people as he could... --sometime later-- "FUCK YOU BASTARD!!!" Yelled the last bandit right before Harold brought his axe down onto his head. "YAAAAAA!!!" He could hear the townsfolk behind me cheering. "People stop this is no time to cheer. We've lost many good men, woman, and children. We must bury the dead before diseases spread and we must also fix the building that were burned. Though we might have killed these bandits the damage they caused to our village isn't small. We must prepare for winter for it is only a few months away now." Harold said. "Also has anyone seen Hannah?" Harold asked. Silence... Everyone just looked at their feet not answering me. Worrying, Harold grabbed a man by his shoulders and made him look me in the eyes. "Where is she?!" Harold asked again. The man just looked at Harold with a tinge of sadness in his eyes. "I'm sorry son but she was trapped in one of the burning houses." Said a man who stepped forward. At first Harold didnt comprehend what he said. Then a few seconds later it hit him like a Rhino. Immediately he fell to his knees and could do nothing but cry out to the gods in anguish asking why they had to take her too...

-- THREE YEARS LATER-- "YOU THERE, YOU AINT PAID FOR THREE DAYS AND YOU'VE DRANK NEARLY ALL MY DAMN MEAD!!!" Yelled the owner of the tavern Harold was at currently. "I'll pay later I swear it!" Said Harold in response to the man. "No you'll pay now." Said the man as two large men walked up to Harold grabbed him by each arm as the tavern owner searched him for money rather violently. "There ain't a single coin on you you lying bastard!" Exclaimed the tavern owner. Then something caught his eye. A silver necklace with a small silver hammer engraved with gold ruins. immediately the tavern owner snatched it from Harold's neck. Immediately Harold began yelling for him to give it back and tried to break free from the two men holding him back but to no avail. "Guve that back you bastard That was my wife's!" yelled Harold. "You're wife's eh? Well then you can thank her for paying for your drinks hahahaha!" said the tavern owner before walking away. After the guards were sure the owner got away they let Harild go who in his drunken stupor ran out of the tavern to find the owner. After searching for him for nearly three days Harold just decided to wait for the owner at the tavern. When Harold got to the tavern There was a Guy no older then 16 or 17 telling stories. Ignoring him Harold just sat in a corner in the tavern. After what seemed like 15 minutes or so the kid left much to the displeasure of the crowd that was in tavern. Soon after he came back in which surprised Harold thinking the kid was gone for good but soon Harold nearly had the fright of his life when he watched the guy begin killing people in the tavern.
