6 Finding the culprit II

I walked to the rooftop and found it clean which was suspicious recalling the last time I was here it wasn't this clean, then looked around a bit and walked to the edge of the roof to check the height and the possibility of her surviving the fall and figured out that she's going to survive it which means she's probably a comatose state right now but she might wake up and I then figure out if she saw the face of the culprit

I turned towards the exit to leave and felt my leg hit something then I checked the thing and I found a piece of clothing lying on the floor beside a flower pot on the floor of the roof, I picked it and a foul stench filled my nose

"you are not good at cleaning up your mess am going to hold onto it as evidence that it was not suicide but attempted murder or probably murder if she doesn't wake up," I said to myself then walked out of there

Immediately she left the rooftop someone appeared from the shadows and glanced in the direction which she left with a sharp lint in his/her eyes and an evil smirk.

The whole school was still shaken, Detective Ryan and the witness have been talking for like what seemed like two hours with Detective Ryan asking him questions about his alibi

" what were you doing on the rooftop," Detective Ryan asked

"I needed a quiet and calm place to read and clear my head and the rooftop was the best place" Scott replied

"hmm what happened to the library," he asked furthermore

"Not every student keeps the ethics of staying in the library and I am fed up catching sight of discreet happenings" replied Scott

"let's say you did go there to study then what happened next," he asked

"I sat there studying do like thirty minutes before I heard the roof door open the only person entering was Becky and she was on a call with someone, I sat far away so I couldn't hear what she was saying not up to three seconds she ended the call someone grabbed her from behind and I think he whispered something before pushing her off the building that's all I remember" Scott concluded

"Are you sure that's all you remembered, you didn't notice any sign of struggle," the detective asked

"yes that's all she didn't struggle at all so I thought that she knew the person but I didn't expect her to be thrown off the building" Scott replied affirmatively

"he's lying," a low voice said coming from behind where Eve stood, Eve turned towards the voice and noticed a girl intently looking at her phone beside her stood two other people a boy and a girl, the three of are Nelly, Stella, and Nathan, Nathan, and Nelly we're all looking at the detective and Scott while still was on her phone typing rapidly

"I can smell it all over him," she said

"he's acting as he was told to" Nathan summed up

"mm I noticed" Nelly added "We are here to help you catch the culprit if you want to, "Stella said as she glanced at Even and back to her phone

The trio walked out before Eve could even react or ask them what they implied

As the trio walked out Nelly asked a question "How sure are we that she is going to need our help" "She will cause I could sense that she will awaken soon" Stella answered

"We just have to wait we might encounter soon she has something that'll lead her to us and it depends on how fast she is awakening" she added

"I sensed the culprit's piece of clothing on her which means she might come to us soon" Nathan concluded
