5 Invitation from Sumire

I had a dream that took me back to my first memory from when I was little. It was about the day I lost my mom. I can't stop crying when I think about it. I don't want to remember this sad time every time I think about the past. I want to forget the pain and live a happy life now. But I still remember what my mom told me, the stories she shared.

A few hours later, I stopped crying. Tears won't change what happened. Now, I have to hide my sadness and move on with my life.

Someone knocked on my door

knock, knock, knock, knock.

Who could it be at this time? I searched for the clock in my room and found it near my things; it read 3 a.m.I walked towards the door, opened it, and there was a beautiful girl standing in front of me. She had green hair and black eyes, wearing a white skirt, red t shirt. Before I could talk, she pushed me inside, closing my mouth with her hand, and closed the door. She was on top of me; I had fallen on the mattress. She was sitting on my stomach and she started talking, "B.B., let's go to the dungeon. I want to practice."

She was Sumire, and as I read in the novel, I realized that no description could capture her beauty. After seeing her, I was completely charmed. This heroine was truly beautiful. But I'm in her brother's body if she discovers I'm not Rio, what will happen?

Okay, for now, I need to act like him. She wants to go to the dungeon, and I remember that there's an artifact there. In a flashback, I read about Violet, the anti-heroine of this novel, who became friends with Sumire. She retrieved that artifact from the dungeon and sold it to a villain in exchange for information about divine fruit. Artifacts are ranked into five categories: mortal, heroic, legendary, immortal, and mythical.

She thought the artifact was of mortal rank and sold it, but that artifact is unique.

I can become stronger if I obtain it. It's a truly excellent opportunity to accompany her. However, I also desire to witness the scene of heroes awakening. The protagonist will remove the sword that is pierced into the center of this planet, the Aurora Star Splitter. I want to witness this event, but the academy will start in one week. The incident occurred just one day before, so I still have time.

She grabbed my collar, shook me from side to side, and demanded, "B.B., are you listening to me, or are your eardrums malfunctioning?"

She seemed a bit miffed, clearly not fond of her requests being ignored. Let's approach this like Rio, I pondered How would he react by deducing her behavior? When ignored by Rio, she gets irritated, so he would treat her like a princess—or rather, like his daughter. That's it.

"Sumire, I am listening," I said, locking eyes with her vibrant blue ones. She paused her antics, her expression shifting to one of cheerfulness.

"Let's form an adventure party and go dungeon hunting," she proposed with an eager grin.

"Okay, but could you first move away from my top?" I requested. I, too, wanted to venture into the dungeons, but Rio would act with caution, not allowing Sumire to engage in perilous activities. That was my prediction.

With a face as stoic as a statue, I declared in a resolute tone, "No, it's too dangerous."

"Don't worry, B.B., I've got this!" she declared, her voice brimming with confidence. With a mischievous glint in her eye, she rolled up her sleeve, revealing a surprisingly delicate arm. But what she lacked in bulk, she made up for in enthusiasm.

First, she puffed out her chest, standing on tiptoes as if she were about to lift the world. Her arms shot up, mimicking a victorious boxer, and she struck a pose that screamed, "I am the champion!" Next, she swung into a side stance, hand on hip, the other arm flexed tight. Her biceps strained against the fabric of her shirt, and she shot me a proud smile, as if daring me to challenge her newfound strength.

And then, the pièce de résistance: a playful wink. She pointed at her arm, saying, "See see? Strong as an dragon!"

I couldn't help it; a giggle escaped me. "Heh heh... you're the mightiest of them all!"

In that moment, watching the heroine perform these goofy acts with such pride, she looked really cute.

"Hmm," she paused in her antics and sat on my mattress in front of me, smiling. "What do you say?"

I replied, "Okay, let's meet at the center of the city, near the Sword of Protection, at 7 AM."

After the battle, Arthur's sword pierced the center of the planet and turned into stone. People now see it as the Sword of Protection, and a city has been built around it. This city isn't part of any kingdom; its name is Arthur City, honoring the hero. An angel watches over it, and it is considered the safest place in the world. However, the main protagonist of this world will remove this stone sword, reverting it to its original form. I want to witness this scene.
