Soon the introduction of the class began the horizon academy was like any other normal academy in the world unlike Royal Academy where system of special exams and credits are followed.

Royal Mage Academy is the place where the beginning of the novel is set and most of the people studying there are nobles and children of rich, only a few commoners and talented people study there which doesn't include our protagonist.

The protagonist and my ex-family were loaded with money even if the protagonist awakened a weak talent the money his family has is enough for him to easily get admission in the Royal Academy.

Because of the status of nobles and commoners there are always fights between the two groups and discrimination which hides from no one.

In the novel Horizon Academy and Royal Academy only crossed each other's way twice and a few important characters in the story are also from Horizon Academy.

The first class was of the elemental control class and the second was of the mind control class both were pretty boring and it was now a turn for the combat classes where we had to fight each other.

"Ok so for the fifth match we have Ian Holmes versus Sabrina Gilbert"

Surprisingly my name was called out but what i was surprised most was that the duelling partner i got was none other than the person who will play a very great role in the last chapters of the novel, the Shadow Goddess Sabrina Gilbert.

I got inside the virtual reality cabin where the surroundings around me changed and i appeared inside a ring where the match will be held and looked at my opponent, a gorgeous black haired beauty with perfect curves.

A holographic screen popped up in the front of them and options of choosing weapons appeared and we both chose our weapons where i choose twin swords while Sabrina choose daggers.

She took her battle stance and with the sound of the start given by the A.I., she pounced on me and attacked me skillfully with the daggers.

Unfortunately for her, her physical strength and skills were all useless in front of Ian and after a few clashes Ian did not even bulge from my place he was standing and defended against her all attacks skillfully with his twin swords.

Ian's skills and strength surprised her but she didn't give up and summoned a black fog inside the ring.

Ian channeled my mana to his eyes and used the infinity element imagining darkness which cleared his visions and was able to defend against her surprised attacks attacks.

For the outside world the students with Mr. Roberts was both watching the battle on the holographic screen and were all excited seeing such a great battle and cheered up.

"Shadow Walk"

Whisper of Sabrina could be heard through the holographic screen and she disappeared in the shadows.

Hearing the whisper Ian also channeled his mana in one of the swords and stabbed it on the ground.

"Shadow Flame"

From the ground the purple flames began to rise and covered the entire ring.

This is a special move Ian created by the fusion of shadow elements with fire making Sabrina burn and forcing her out of shadow. She was covered in all burn marks and her armour which she wore was also completely burnt.
