chapter 12- museum event (1)

The whole Friday and Saturday was spent reading more webtoons and novels since i found some really good ones. and just like that it became Sunday.

[Traveling Club Announcement]

—There will be a short trip on Sunday to serve as a freshman orientation.

The museum event, the 3rd main event after the synchronization and the weapon choosing event. these 2 events were easy enough. but this third event, if i was even near the museum i could mess it up.....never mind, how could i mess up if i just follow these 2 rules i set up for myself. . I planned what all to do. i had only 2 things to do.

1. stay away from hajin.

2. stay away from hajin.

yes, that's it. fairly simple. Now i just hope that the partner i get is cooperative.

there's no way i would get any main characters like kim suho, chae nayun, kim hajin or yoo yeonha. C wouldn't make that much of a mess right?. As i was looking around at the people who were present a gentle voice spoke.

"Hello, I'm the club president, Oh Hanhyun. I didn't believe it when I saw so many club applications, but... it's real. Who knew such amazing cadets would join my club?"

why couldn't he believe it??. anyone one who wants to escape the horrible training of cube would want to go out. and i was obviously one of them.

"First, I'll give a short introduction about the traveling club."

He took out a piece of paper from his pocket. It looked like he had a speech prepared.

"Kuhum. Once or twice a month, we will leave Cube to travel. The purpose of the travel is to relax. So training during trips will be strictly forbidden. It's also why our club is called 'Healing Rain.'"

Kuhum. After clearing his throat once more, he put the paper away.... that's it?..... oh i'm gonna love this club~~~. they are so generous with their speeches!!.

"Today, as part of the orientation, we'll take a short trip to Seoul. We'll have a theme for each trip. Since today's meant to be an orientation, we'll just have a free trip without anything complicated. But instead of traveling alone, we'll split into groups of two."

Now, this is the important part that could ruin everything.

"Then we'll start by drawing lots."

hurry up!!!!.

"I'll go first."

At that moment, Yoo Yeonha stepped up. I watched her pull out a name without much thought. It should be hajin, according to the novel. Or did this change.??. i was a bit excited.

"Kim Hajin."

"i didn't change."- i muttered being disappointing. But something was going to cheer me up just now. I glanced at hajin and yoenha exchanging looks. Hajin defiantly looked like he'd seen a ghost and his heart stopped and yeonha,.... she was calm.... How boring.

"Arin crestaine...."

huh, as i was staring at the person who called me, he felt..... familiar?. how though? i don't know him. He"s probably an extra, nevertheless he was handsome. He was nothing compared to kim suho but, his looks were still commendable.

"Good job hajin!!"- I thought, as i picture myself in a chibi form showing thumbs up.

That guy seem to be looking around not recognizing me so, i did him a favor and raised my hand up as i walked towards him.

"you are?...."

" i am eun-woo, park eun-woo"- he said being all cheery. He reminded me of many of the 2nd male leads in those medieval type manhwa's.

"....yes, park en-woo ssi."

"just en-woo is fine!."- yare yare hontoni mendokusai (1), i should immediately leave him and move separately.

"hey!, i remember you!. you are the strange guy I met in the academics club room on Friday.!!" - he said being excited. this day can't get any worse.

After drawing lots was over, the members gathered by their pairs and stood in front of the Portal.

Portal, the cutting-edge technology utilizing magic science and engineering. With a height of 15 meters and width of 30 meters, this giant gate was built in over a hundred places throughout Korea.

"Cadet arin crestaine. Confirmed."

The Portal operator gave us a seal. This seal was basically the same as a bus pass but, waaay!!! more important.

"Let's go."

The club president went in first. The next to enter the swaying blue Portal was Kim Suho, Chae Nayun, yoo yeonha, hajin... and finally me.

In the blink of an eye, the surrounding scenery changed to an unfamiliar place.

"It's 12 P.M. right now, so we'll meet back here at 6:00. For now, follow me."

Following the club president, we received another seal from the Portal employees before leaving the Portal Station.

"You can go wherever you want as a pair using the public transportation system. For today, we won't require you to write a report, but make sure you're back by 6. If you're late, you'll be penalized."

I don't mind writing a report. i'm great at that!!!. With a warning from the club president, cadets left as pairs.

"so, what should we do now?" - said en-woo interrupting my search for the main characters.

"look, i have something to do. so you can leave without me. lets split up and meet here at 6."- is what i wanted to say. i thought i would say it in a cool way like yeonha and just leave. But i couldn't. why you ask. well it's because this guy was good at leading people.

Before i could even open my mouth, he said he knows a great place where they sell a variety of desserts.

He described the sweets so well It felt mouth watering, of course I wasn't drooling but i felt like i would. This is bad. I might just go along with him.

"there is also a book sign event and a meetup with a webtoon artist near a cafe somewhere here."

I felt like he was just talking all of that shit for this moment. i didn't like it. how dare he use desserts as an excuse for something evil.

"And what makes you think i want'd want to go there with 'you' "- i said in a very angry tone. I thought he would be scared shit and run away or something. But he didn't mind it. In fact he even smiled and continued.

"Weren't you reading the webtoon 'Daylight Meetup', day before yesterday?."- he said smiling.

gaaaah!!!!!, shut it i say. shut it!!!. I want to hide under a rock!!!!

I didn't mind showing off my webtoons knowledge in my previous world. But now even talking about it feels embarrassing. especially to this guy who caught me reading it and in the most embarrassing way!!!.

He started smiling at me as if he could hear my internal conflict.

"w-what about that?"- i asked, trying to forget it.

"it's that webtoon's author. they're doing an event in a cafe. do you mind if we go together.?"

kyaa!!!!. the author of that webtoon is my all time favorite. i can't miss this!!!. but it's really embarrassing. what if this guy exposes me?. but still !!! i want to go!!!.

arghhh, i don't care. to hell with dignity. I . DON'T . CARE!!!!!. we're gonna be far away from hajin anyways so.....

"ahem, since you want to go so badly . i don't mind. "

*smile*

en-woo smiled bashfully. Damn hajin, you even gave small extras a really handsome face.

"what all other webtoons do you read. do you also read novels?"- he asked dumbly (cutely).

"Of course!."

Being proud of knowing more than en-woo, I considered myself to be his senior who had to tell him everything.

and as a nice senior would do. i shamelessly started boasting about the novels, webtoons and anime I've watched.

He kept smiling, often engaging in the talk. We both had fun showing off each other's tastes as we were heading to the cafe where the author of "Daylight Meetup" was supposed to do a meet up.

only after coming in front of the place did i realize.

"WHY ARE WE IN FRONT OF A MUSEUM??!?!?."

and not just any other museum but, the one where the djinn appears.

And, there goes my one and only plan of avoiding hajin.
