32 Chapter 32

Classroom A-1.

 Actaeon Lucas slowly opened his eyes.

The last time he remembered, he was entering the classroom. He quickly looked around and realised he had fainted in his seat. The classroom was empty, everyone was in the training hall where Class A1 vs B1 duel was happening.

Then he opened his palms, and a crimson book appeared in his hand.

Some unknown words were written on it's cover page. The book automatically opened. Actaeon Lucas quickly looked into it. There were more unknown and alien words in it, but they were automatically translated inside his mind.

"Looks like nothing is wrong."

Lucas realised he must have fainted while he was in the classroom. After all, it was not uncommon for him to suddenly faint with his weak body. It has already happened on several occasions. When he used the "Blood Suppression" ability in the duel it had put a troll on his body.

The body of the person or ex-human that he has been transmigrated into has many weaknesses. Even though an ex-human normally has more power than a regular human, it was not the same for him. Even before he became an Ex-human he was terminally ill. So after becoming Ex-human it only increased his strength slightly.

An ex-human is someone who has been turned into a nonhuman by another vampire. There are many ranks of vampires.

The lowest rank of Vampire is called "Lesser Vampire". They are the weakest species of Vampire. They have just a little bit more enhanced power than a regular human. Their social status is the lowest among vampires. They are highly susceptible to the sun and have little to no offensive power. The only thing good about them is their healing power. But that also weaker than other vampire and they have to live most of their lives in darkness.

The next rank is called "Low born". They are mostly born from the blood of vampires and other races. They are stronger than a lesser vampire and also have the characteristics of the other race. But they also don't have a good social status in vampire society.

The higher rank is called "Ordinary Vampire" . They are just regular vampires, either born from other ordinary vampires or turned into vampires by a higher-ranking vampire. Most of the population among vampires are ordinary vampire.

The next rank of Vampire is called "Noble Blood." They are far stronger than an ordinary vampire. The higher their noble rank, the stronger their healing power, making them resemble something close to an immortal. Every noble blood holds a special bloodline depending on the family into which they are born.

The highest rank of vampire is called "Pure Blood." There is not much information known about them. But there are historical records claiming them to be true immortals. But for some reason, none of them ever revealed their existence after the death of the Demon King.

But Actaeon Lucas is not part of any rank. He is part of another group called "Rankless." They are so weak that the vampires refuse to accept them as their own. They are people who have been turned into vampires. Only a vampire of noble rank can turn someone into a vampire. But not all vampire transformations are successful.

While some might lose their mind and become mindless bloodsuckers, others turn into abominations that resemble nothing like their previous selves, whether they lose their mind or not. All of them are called "Failed Ex-humans," which is part of "Rankless".

In the case of Actaeon Lucas, he neither turned into an abomination nor lost his mind. But the transformation was still a failure. He turned into one of the rarest species "Bloodsucker". They are a species that has an uncontrollable thirst for blood. They are neither accepted as vampires nor as humans. So they are called the "Ex-Humans." They don't have the super healing ability or the ability to get super powerful by drinking blood.

The only benefit of these types of vampires is that they cannot be distinguished from regular humans. So instead of throwing them away, the vampire uses them as spies among humans. That's what Lucas currently is. Because of his unique affinity for "blood," Lucas was abducted by a vampire count at a very young age hoping to turn him into a vampire. But the transformation failed. And Lucas was turned into an "Ex-Human" instead. 

The count was furious at him. But instead of throwing him away, he pulled some strings and admitted Lucas to Phoenix Academy.Although everything was being observed by the Mother AI, loopholes still exists. Result of using the loopholes was Lucas being admitted into Phoenix Academy as rank 4999. The second last one.

Lucas's only goal was to get eliminated from the academy in the yearly exam and get his freedom. But after six months of being bullied and ridiculed as the weakest in the academy, he was killed by a villain.

*Sigh*

Lucas released a big sigh, he had to transmigrate as an extra whose only role was to be the stepping stone of a villain.

He unsummoned the book from his hand. It was the "Grimoire of Blood Monarch", a treasure that was supposed to be found by the MC inside a Tomb. It was inside a coffin without any corpses. It didn't have any reaction to mana; the page inside was empty, and the words outside were in some unknown language. It didn't look like any artefacts or anything useful. So he sold it in an auction for a great deal of money as an unknown object found in a tomb.

What was unknown to him, it got into the hands of a villain. The villain exchanged it with another Vampire. Indirectly, the main character made his enemy even stronger.

"Good thing I recovered it in time." Lucas said as he touched the ring on his finger with a red gem on it. The Grimoire was a powerful weapon with great growth power. But for now, this ring is far more useful for Lucas than the grimoire.

It has two effects.

-It lowers the thirst for blood.

-It also reduces the weakness received from sunlight.

Although Ex-humans have great resistance to the sun compared to ordinary vampires, and it's almost impossible to notice any difference in them in sunlight, they still get slightly weaker. And for Lucas, who already has a very weak body, even a small amount is very precious to lose.

But the best effect is the first one. Inside the academy, getting blood is not an easy feat. The previous Lucas also faced the same problem. Which is why he was the weakest in the academy. But with this ring, he won't have to face the same problem.

He was lucky when he mistakenly discovered this ring on his trip to the tomb. It was truly a heaven-sent encounter. This thing can be a huge game changer inside the academy.

"But it's not time for that."

Currently, Lucas needs a lot of points. With his body, it's near impossible to do any commissions and earn rewards. He quickly went back to the training hall, where currently the duel arc was happening.

His only options are now betting on the winners.
