Exploits from Another World Ch 2. (The Princess Is As I Expected, I Think?)

The Princess Is As I Expected, I Think?

???

???

"...Is this some kind of joke?" Terensu asked, turning from the school dumbfounded, to face the kingdom.

"Why are you so surprised? You literally said this is the only possible reason for the situation." I responded to Terensu, who still looked amazed at the sight of the castle.

I know what you're thinking "Why aren't you surprised you bastard?". Well, it's not because I've read a lot of stories like these. It's also not because I'm looking forward for the events to come either... It's simply because I don't give a shit about what's going to happen to me. If anything, I hope I can just be a nice, delicate supporting character to whoever the protagonist is in this.

And yes. There's always a protaganist in these kind of situations. ALWAYS A PROTAGONIST. Why? Look. Why wouldn't there be a protagonist? There not only is always a protagonist. But there has to be a protagonist. Or the reason of us being randomly transported to another world is just bullshit in the case that there isn't one.

After about 15 minutes, it seemed all the classes were already outside, skirmishing about this world. Though no one dared to get more than 100 feet away from the school. Despite everyone moving frantically, and looking excited more than shocked now... I could tell they were all a bit scared and paranoid for many reasons. First, what about their families at home? It's not like a school disappearing will just go unnoticed on Earth... But well, that's not our problem right now.

"Alright everybody. Gather up. Come on now, sit down."

It was our principal, Mr. Myura. He and the teachers were gathering all the students and having them sit down in an enclosed space. Probably to take roll call. Smart decision, though technically we're not his responsibility anymore.

Me and Terensu were told to sit down at the back by Mr. Nakaku. Our backs faced the kingdom as well as the setting sun. I couldn't really see Myura with the sun glaring at him. But whatever.

"Well everyone... As you see, the surroundings of Chasten Middle School aren't exactly the same as they were a couple hours ago... " Mr. Myura said in front of the main doors.

Well. You can guess what he said next. Something about how we shouldn't leave a teachers eye under any circumstance for the time being. You know. What you'd expect a teacher to say.

"Any ideas how this'll turn out?" I whispered to Terensu, yawning in the middle of Myura talking.

"Personally, I have no idea..." I said. But it's not really my problem I guess. The teachers seem to have a slight understanding, and a plan for us. So that's good enough for me.

"I actually don't... To be frank, I never thought a whole school would end up being Isekai'ed. If it was just me, then I'd have a prediction or two of what'll happen next... But this? Hell no, I honestly have no idea." Terensu replied, still facing Mr. Myura.

Well, that's to be expected. I don't think I've ever read a story about a whole school being transported. At most a classroom, I'm pretty sure.

"This is honestly crazy thinking about it…" I said grinning a bit. Don't get me wrong. I'm not excited or anything. But it's crazy to think we were legit transported into another world.

"I know right…" Terensu replied sighing

"Regarding tonight..."

My attention went back to Mr. Myura... Tonight huh? I looked up at the sky, squinting my eyes a bit, and holding my hand just above my eyes. It's gotten slightly darker than before, I think... So tonight is definitely an upcoming occurrence that's bound to happen in a few hours.

"Regarding tonight. All male teachers, and male students shall stay on the left side of the school. All female teachers, and female students the opposite." Mr. Myura said, raising his hands up. Making a plan to divide the genders. Alright. Fair plan. Food probably shouldn't be a problem. There's a bunch in the cafeteria for days.

"You won't need to be doing that, fortunately."

We won't? Wait. Unfamiliar voice? Ah... Ah~… I know what this is...

I moved my eyes frantically, facing the soothing female voice. A person with a slim figure. Who wasn't short but who wasn't too tall appeared behind the building, and began walking slowly towards Mr. Myura. Along with two what seemed like guards or knights. Looks like I was right...

This was inevitable it seemed...

I glanced at the kingdom behind us. Blonde hair that radiated literal royalty, red eyes that were truly frightening. This person was probably- No. This person was most definitely the princess of the kingdom in front of us.

"W-who are you?" Mr. Myura asked, putting up his guard, backing away cautiously from the women.

"At ease... We did not come to harm you. For the most part... The opposite really." She replied, not answering the question but instead attempting to lower Mr. Myura's guard.

Also... Did I hear her wrong or did she say "For the most part" after she replied saying she wasn't here to harm us.

"As for who I am... I'm Eleth Esseavast, The First Princess of The Exalted Kingdom of Esseavast. Pleased to make your acquaintance." The princess said bowing, as gasp went around in the crowd, and boys blushed rapidly due to her "beauty".

As for me. I expected this. Now, I'm not trying to brag. But I already said this was going to happen didn't I? I also came up with multiple possible scenarios for the next. Let's see... Couple days. But of course. Most of them are nothing but my pure imagination. But I did actually see this coming though. He probably did too.

I turned to Terensu. "Did ya see this coming?"

"Something like that." He replied, yawning.

"Heh."

I smiled and turned back to what was her name? Eleth? Who had her eyes closed and was smiling slightly.

"Ahem. Now, I assume you all have a slight understanding of the situation you all are in." Eleth said, opening her eyes, keeping the same smile.

The area went silent. People began to look at one another. It looks as Eleth got the note, as she cleared her throat again, to get everyone's attention.

"Maybe not? Well... Just to let you all know. You've been summoned by the kingdom to another world, different from your own in infinite ways."

The crowd gradually began to get louder. "Summoned?" and "So this is another world..." were phrases heard throughout the crowd. To my surprise though. The students seemed to be handling this better than I had imagined.

Well, as you guess. I already knew this. Long before anyone here did. You did hear me say it earlier. This is nothing but a confirmation for me. Well, for Terensu too, who looked as to have accepted the fact quick that this is in fact another world.

"Looks like we were right, huh?" I asked Terensu, cracking my neck.

"LOL. Guess so." He replied, snickering a bit to himself.

I grinned for a few seconds before fully taking in the confirmation. My grin not too long after reshaped into a revulsed straight face.

Though I expected this to happen… What the actual hell? I want to go back home. Fuck this shit. I have people at home. I don't want to kill some demon lord. I just wanted to go to school for the day. I didn't sign up for this shit… Ha... What am I saying…? I should know this all to well. No one BUT me should know this all too well... You're not going home once you get transported.

You see... There's this certain cliché. "You can only go back to Earth if you defeat the Demon Lord." Something like that. Which I find complete bullshit when I didn't even ask to be teleported in the first place. For fucks sake. At least ask first before you tell someone to basically kill themselves for no reason.

"Yes, that's right. You've been summoned to this world..." Eleth began, getting everyone's dire attention.

Shit... Here it comes.

"To..."

Fuck.

"Defeat the Demon Lord of this world!" She finished, smiling as everyone began cheering, and clapping frantically.

Hey? Why the hell are you clapping? I'm 90% sure half of you will either die or get sold into human trafficking... So stop fucking clapping! Gosh... These people are damn annoying...

"And if we don't want to?"

It was Terensu. In the midst of all the celebrating for a complete unknown reason... Terensu stood up and asked Eleth. I looked at him with confusion in my eyes. Considering that he's the type of person who wouldn't want to stand out.

"Yeah. What then...?" I stood up by Terensu, pushing my glasses up, with an expressionless look on my face. Look cool Riamu. Look cool.

Eleth stood there dumbfounded. She was still smiling, but you could obviously tell she was shocked. Looks like not many people think of the obvious solution. Just ask if you have to.

"Why should we have to fight for a kingdom we didn't even know existed till' a few hours ago?" I asked, starting the bombardment of questions I had in mind. Just to overwhelm The Princess a bit.

"W-well. Tha-" Eleth attempted to answer.

"Who gave you the right to summon innocent children to risk their lives? This is plain kidnapping…" Terensu asked, interrupting Eleth from answering.

I looked over to Terensu. Ha... He had a smug look on his face. Seeing how The Princess had no answers to our questions... This is pretty funny!

Conversations rumbled the crowd as people began to digress about the whole situation.

"Silence!" One of the guards next to Eleth yelled. He looked at us. Not with hate or anything. But more of eyes saying, "I don't get payed enough for this.".

"Ah..." I said, giving him a thumbs up then sitting back down. Terensu seemed like he got the note too, and sat back down as well.

"Ahem... W-well, I don't necessarily have answers for those questions... Oh! But do know you'll be compensated greatly if you succeed!" Eleth said, expecting us to lighten up it looks like.

"Is that so? Well then. Continue with your speech." I said, closing my eyes proudly. I could feel the eyes of the students on me. Making a scene... Ha! As expected of me. I grinned amusingly and crossed my arms. I wasn't looking to stand out. But if it's not harming me then why not?

"Right... As I was saying. you all have been conveyed here via. magic to defeat this world's current Demon Lord." The Princess said hesitantly. She smiled, getting the attention of the crowd back to her.

My smiled dropped quickly. Do we actually have no other choice? I'm not in the fucking mood to kill this shit Demon Lord, and I don't think I will be in the mood for the next couple thousand years. Wait... Ah... This could work. I have a plan~

I turned to Terensu, pushing up my glasses with a smug smile. He looked back with a disgusted, visually confused expression. My smile faded and I cleared my throat quietly.

"Ahem... You may not follow up with it. But I have a plan that could let us relax the whole time we're here until we're free to go back home." I said with a sinister grin.

"Take that grin off your face. It's fucking weird. Just say what you're thinking." Terensu responded turning back to Eleth speaking.

"Glad ya asked. Basically we just have to fake our deaths or something, and wait till' one of our idiotic classmates kill The Demon Lord. This is of course. Assuming we get to go home once The Demon Lord is defeated, as followed by the right clichés. Oh shit. I should stop jinxing it." I said turning back to The Princess as well.

"Faking our deaths...? Well... I guess it could work. But where do you plan we go after that?" Terensu asked facing me.

"...Good question..." I responded facing him. I forgot to think of what comes next. How unlike me. Am I being affected by this world...? Nah.

"You fucking idiot." Terensu said turning back to Eleth. I looked at him with a smile before turning back as well.

How long is this bitch gonna talk for? Feels like it's been forever. Couple hours in and I already can't stand this world. Don't get me wrong. The scenery here is fucking beautiful. I can tell that much by looking at even the minimum area around the school. It's just this princess man. She's already getting on my nerves.

"Ah... Looks like it's getting dark. I'll explain how you'll defeat The Demon Lord back at the castle. Follow me." Eleth said, looking up at the sky before looking back to us. The guards began to walk towards The Kingdom in the distance. Eleth following soon after.

I turned to Terensu who stood up.

"Well, let's just play along for now." He said, putting his hand in his pockets.

"Sure." I replied, standing up along with the rest of the students.
