Seeing a little girl traveling alone on the bus past 7 p.m., Haru felt a bit weird. 

Typically, children her age are with their parents or guardians, especially at this late hour, when anything could happen. 

Sensing his gaze, the little girl turned toward him.

Feeling it was inappropriate to stare, even out of concern, Haru offered a small smile and awkwardly greeted her, "H-Hello."
