187 Hehe, Tower go Boom

Rather than silently making a hole through the wall like before, I shift to my dragon form and completely destroy the wall between us in the tunnel and the hallway. This, of course, makes quite the loud sound and this is exactly what I need. Bringing my size to as large as I can fit, I begin rampaging around with Wanjing on my back as she throws that shit around in our wake.

I break into every room we come across and use a different breath attack in each one. In doing so, I also tested out the combat abilities granted to me after absorbing the Void Essence. While I couldn't manage to use a breath attack composed entirely of Void Energy, I was able to enhance every one of my other breath attacks using it, giving each one a completely different feel and effect. I felt like there was some kind of residue left behind after each attack, but since Wanjing didn't notice anything and the feeling disappeared within a few seconds so I just put the thought aside and continued rampaging.

Over time, as my rampage continues, more and more guards began to show up, although they were nothing special, is what I want to say, but they actually are giving me a bit of a hard time though that's just because of their numbers. On an individual level, they are certainly better than most the rank and file guys I fought with since arriving in Shengdi, but they aren't on the level of the Scion Generals or Yue, not to mention a powerhouse like Serabane. They consist mostly of Tier 4 so as long as I'm not flooded by anything higher I can keep this up until Wanjing runs out of that shit she's throwing around, but how much more is there.

"You done yet?" I ask as I fill one of the nearby halls with lava by fusing my newly acquired Stone Breath and Fire Breath.

"Only a few pellets remain... and done," Wanjing says.

Just moments later, ignoring the many notifications for my kills, I receive another message from the System as does Wanjing, but it's nothing more than a timer counting down from 120 that's dropping by the second. If I'm not mistaken, we'll probably be teleported out once the timer finishes. I need to question her about how she is using the System like this later, although she probably won't tell me. Guess I'll use the remaining time to experiment a little and have some fun.

Since it's rare for me to be in an area where I can cause as much trouble as I want, I begin trying to mix various different elements together just for the sake of knowing what happens as I don't need to worry about any potential repercussions here. And of course, the guards are my guinea pigs.

My first shot was fusing Air, Water, and Fire, resulting in a burning mist. The guards clearly enjoyed having their faces melt off, but compared to the guards who faced the brunt of the following attack, they had it easy.

With only 72 seconds left on the timer, I try my shot at mixing Light and Darkness as well as Divine and Void, and the result was certainly devastating. I created a ball of pure energy out of the four elements, it appeared as if I was staring at the sun during an eclipse. Launching the ball forward, it felt is as the space around it was bent and twisted, all the space that the ball travelled through was deformed and turned black, but this strange phenomenon fixed itself within a matter of seconds. As for the people who got hit by it, needless to say, they had a bad time. I'm not sure if the attack was just ignoring their defences entirely or if they were just too weak to handle it, but all the guards who were hit were similarly deformed like the space the ball travelled trough, what's left of them that is, but unlike the space, the bodies didn't fix themselves.

Much like before when I was attacking with my Void enhanced breath attacks, I felt a strange residue as if there was something left behind after my attack. The sensation lasted longer and was strong enough that even Wanjing felt it, but in the end, it still dissipated a few seconds before the timer hit zero.

The next thing we know, both Wanjing and I are back in the Manor of Erudition, or rather, on it as we are on the roof of the Manor alongside everyone else.

"It sure was fun watching you guys~, so much that Serabane-chan felt the need to share the experience with the others," Serabane says holding some kind of device with a red button, "and now that everyone's here~ it's time to party~!" she yells slamming her finger down on the button.

Hardly a second later, the sound of an explosion can be heard in the distance as we see the Tower of Paradise set ablaze and chunks of its structure can be seen falling from the sky. Smoke rises in an unnatural way as words begin to form out of the smoke and dust clouds, 'From the cutest girl to walk the lands, the genius who's eternally 17, enjoy the fireworks'.
