201 Prepare yourself

After a long soak in the late afternoon, the team had food and drinks and then they all retired to their given rooms to sleep. The trip back to Havenbrook hadn't been easy.

Sleeping on the floor always was a wearing thing and they had missed the softness of bed. They slept off immediately after they hit the bed, the only exception was Valor who stayed awake, doing the Flow and getting as much of the mana in the air as he could.

"A good thing we weren't attacked while we slept," Alaric said. He had bathed and changed. He wore an elaborate blue tunic made of expensive material, it fit his form tightly.

"We would have wake up if they did." Rota pointed out. Fighting shadows every night had heightened their awareness of danger, especially when they slept.
