Birth of a Treant.

A spark. There is nothingness, then another spark. It grows and grows until it becomes a small flame. It is a new consciousness being born, it has very little life force but over the course of just a month it has its first thought.

"What am i?" I cant see anything." It starts trying to feel around its environment. It starts to wiggle but is met with resistance. It seems to be surrounded by something. "Whats this?" It says after noticing that there is some smaller sparks around it. It begins to focus on these smaller sparks and learns that it is able to absorb them.

It absorbs one after another of these sparks until finally something strange happens. It feels a burning sensation in its mind, like a huge rush of pure energy flowing into it. After an unknown amount of time it feels as if it has grown stronger. It can absorb the sparks around it much faster than before.

All of a sudden it feels as if these sparks are not enough and tries to reach out further. It reaches its mind out as far as it can in search for more of this energy. After a long time of absorbing these energies it begins to feel the same sensation as before. It feels its mind expanding and is able to see more clearly in the void surrounding it.

It can see giant leaves and plants all around, as if it is in a huge forest of sorts. "It seems I'm still not able to move." It can see but everything is colorless. Like it can sense the energy in the things around it.

~Energy vision skill granted.~

A strange voice echoes in his head. "I've earned a skill?"

~You have leveled up!~

"There it is again, this strange voice." As it has not stopped absorbing energy it seems that was the cause of me levelling up. "But how do i actually do that?" It said in its mind. As it was thinking about levelling up the voice rang out once more while pulling up a page with its details in full view.

Description -A small baby treant that has recently awoken into the world.

"So I'm a small tree then?" I guess the energy i was absorbing came from nutrients in the ground then." I suppose for now ill put these three points into intelligence as that might be more helpful to my current situation.

As soon as it upgraded its intelligence it felt like its mind exploded outwards. All at once it was now able to hear and see and smell everything around. Once it got used to all this new information, it made a huge revelation. Its not that its in a huge forest, Its actually so small that the grass around look like trees.

"This cannot be! I'm so small!" It screamed out in its mind. Once it calmed down it realized it needs to level up more to be able to have a chance in this world at all.

With much effort it focused all its attention on absorbing energy. It could see now the root like appendages it was using to gather energy. It tried to summon more of these and was able to get six roots out at one time.

All six roots were gathering energy like there was no tomorrow when suddenly he levelled up once again!

It decided to put these points into endurance this time to increase his own life force. After he added these points something unexpected happened. He started to grow little by little until he was about as tall as a kickball. He could see better his surroundings now at least. "It looks like I'm surrounded by trees and some other strange looking wildlife."

As he was looking at his surroundings he had a thought. "What if i try moving my roots?" He then gave it his best go and was able to move forward a slight bit as his roots dug a pathway in front of him. He was basically swimming through the dirt with his roots pulling him forward.

"Its slow but at least i can move now." He then spent the next few minutes traveling in the same direction towards a nearby plant with some golden colored fruit hanging from it. I'm not sure why but there is something pulling my attention to that fruit.

He finally managed to get just under the fruit, but then something dawned on him. "I don't have any arms!" He urged with all his might to reach up towards the strange fruit and after a few tries he was able to conjure small roots from his body to act like arms. He latched on to the fruit and pulled it off by the stem. There seems to be a faint glow emanating from this fruit. I wonder if i can absorb this as well? He then shot his root like arms straight into the fruit and started to absorb it just like he did in the ground earlier.

A massive rush of energy filled his small tree like body and instantly he saw the messages pop up once more.

"2 levels just from this fruit?" He couldn't believe his eyes. "I know exactly what ill put these points into." He said as he put 3 points into his endurance and the other 3 into intelligence. The same thing happened and he felt the surge of power as he grew to double his size. He was now the size of a small child. He also got better at controlling his body with the points he put into intelligence. Now he was able to spin his roots together to create makeshift legs and arms. He still couldn't make hands but this was a step in the right direction.

Now with his new and improved body he can finally move around and began exploring the area he is in. It seems he is in the middle of a large forest with an abundance of wildlife in every direction. He could see rabbit like creatures with antlers and something that looked like a mix between a deer and a wolf.

Strangely enough, none of these creature seemed to be frightened by his arrival.
