CHAPTER 55: COLOSSEUM FIGHT 2

"Who are you? And what business do you have attacking the Dark Knight Guild? Did someone send you? Or are you here for some sort of revenge?"

Gunter asked a series of questions in a serious tone while glaring at the hooded enemy.

"..."

Helena stood silently in front of the four of them, ignoring Gunter's questions. She turns her gaze towards Vlad and sees that he was recovering quickly after taking her attack.

"Hmm… Alpha, what grade of armor is he wearing?"

Helena asked.

[DING!]

[NORMAL GRADE: LOW TIER

TYPE: MAGIC ARMOR.

+20 DEFENSE]

Apart from Knights/sword masters and wizards/mages. There are other paths in which mana can be used. One of the other ways is the path of alchemy. It is a sub-branch of wizards, but instead of only focusing on transforming mana into natural elements, they use mana to create magical potions, weapons, formations, and elixirs. But an alchemist is a very rare existence on the continent. That's why it is not a well-known practice.

For one to become an alchemist, they have to have a high wood, earth, and fire affinity. Which is one in three million. Unlike wizards who only need to have a high affinity with one element for them to become wizards. And knights/Swordmen who do not need to have a high affinity with any element since they use mana to strengthen their bodies.

"So, the Normal Grade armor took most of the attack. I guess I'll have to use more than 5% of my current physical strength."

Helena thought in her mind.

Helena flinched when she noticed a killing intent. But her reaction was too slow. The old gentleman was already in a stance beside her, ready to attack.

"Heh, it's too late to react now!"

The old gentleman said with a smirk, as he swung his blade toward Helena's neck.

"An attack like this will not threaten a 5th class Grandmaster, but…"

The old gentleman thought in his mind before his attack connected.

*CLANG*

The clashing sound of steel filled the air as Helena deflected the attack with her wrist. But the attack was not done.

"What! From behind?"

Helena said in a surprised tone. While Helena's gaze was on the old gentleman, she noticed Blaze attacking her from her rear with a Normal Grade-Mid tier gauntlet.

*WHOOSH*

THIRD CLASS SKILL<FLAMING FIST PUNCH!!>

*ROAR* *FLAME ROARING*

"I wonder if a 5th class Grandmaster can ignore an attack with a Normal-Grade-Mid tier gauntlet and a third-class skill, to the spine… HAAARRHHH!!!"

Blaze yelled as he concentrated his mana on his fist, coating his gauntlet. And the concentrated mana burst into red burning flames. And he attacks with a straight punch, toward Helena's lower back, with his right hand.

*SWOOSH*

*BANG!!*

As Blaze hit Helena, his gauntlet amplified the attack, adding an explosive effect.

*BOOM! *

"Heh, Got him."

Blaze said with a smirk on his face, believing that he did some damage. But when the smoke from the explosion dissipated, Helena stood in the same spot, unscratched.

*WHOOSH*

"How is this possible-!?"

Blaze said with a surprised expression and tone as he jumps away from Helena.

*WHOOSH*

Before Blaze could recover from his shock, Helena lunged toward Blaze at an incredible speed, closing up the space between them in a flash. She raised her right knee and went for a sidekick, aiming at the right side of Blaze's head.

"!?... shit. How can he move so fast?"

Blaze questioned in his mind after noticing Helena's attack. He puts up his guard quickly, protecting his head with both hands, while enhancing his defense with mana.

"With my gauntlet and mana protecting my arms, my defense should be able to block an attack from a 5th-class grandmaster."

Blaze thought confidently in his mind.

"Heh."

Helena smirks after seeing Blaze's confidence in his defense. So, she increased the power of her kick by 15%.

*BANG*

*CRACK! *

The force from Helena's feet broke through Blaze's mana, shattered his gauntlet, and kicks Blaze's arms into his head.

"KEUK!..."

Blaze grunts in pain before going unconscious. As he falls slowly to the ground.

<STEPS OF WIND GOD>

*ZOOM*

While Blaze was still falling to the ground, Helena activates her movement skill and appears behind the old gentleman in a flash.

*WHOOSH*

"!?"

The old gentleman flinched when he felt Helena's presence behind him. He quickly turns around with his blade and slashed.

*SWISH*

But his attack hit nothing.

"Where did he go? –"

The old gentleman thought in panic after slashing at the empty air. He looks to his sides and behind, but he could not find the Hooded figure.

"Over here."

Helena said as she falls from the air.

"!?"

After hearing the voice, the old gentleman looks up and sees Helena. But before he could put up his guard, he got kicked in the jaw.

*BANG*

"What was that voice? Sounded like a woman~."

The old gentleman thought in his mind as he passed out and falls to the ground.

*BAM*

*THUD*

As Helena lands on the ground after knocking out the old gentleman, she turned her gaze toward Gunter.

"...!"

Gunter flinched in fear after noticing Helena's gaze. He glances around and realized that all his allies are either unconscious or heavily injured. And all this happened just a few seconds into the fight.

*TAP*

*TAP*

Helena's heavy footsteps could be heard throughout the arena as she walks slowly toward Gunter with an intimidating aura surrounding her.

"Shit! Why are those two monsters not here? Only both of them can take on a 5th-class Grandmaster… I guess I'll have to use that. With it, I might get a chance to escape."

Gunter thought in his mind as he watched Helena get closer to him.

"I can't believe I got hit by their attacks. If it was a normal 5th-class Grandmaster, they would have been seriously hurt by that attack. I have learned a lot from this fight."

Helena thought in her mind while walking towards Gunter.

*RUSTLE*

Gunter takes off the glove on his left hand and throws it to the ground.

*BAM*

"I didn't want to use this since it's a secret… but you have given me no choice."

Gunter said as the dorsal side of his left hand glowed. And a summoning circle appears from it. Then a blue scorpion came out of the summoning circle.

<SUMMON FAMILIAR– WIND SCORPION>

"What? Gunter had such a trump card? How come I don't know about it?"

Vlad, who is still recovering from his injury, thought in his mind with a surprised expression. It's known throughout the Giggadon Empire that one can gain a familiar at the Magic Tower once they turn twelve, but what people don't know is that it's only a luxury, Nobles and rich merchants could afford. [SUMMONS BELOW ELEVEN STARS CAN HARDLY DO ANY DAMAGE TO A FIRST-CLASS GRANDMASTER ON ITS OWN. BUT, FROM ITS INFORMATION, THE BLUE SCORPION HAS AN ESCAPE SKILL THAT WOULD BE DIFFICULT FOR A 5TH-CLASS GRANDMASTER TO CATCH.]
