[Bonus chapter] An Apology

Kath blinked as she looked at Luci. her hands touched his cheeks but instead of caressing them, she pinched his cheeks hard that he winced.

He looked at her with an aggrieved look when she smiled with a sheepish look on her face, "ah! I was just checking it was you! And I am not dreaming."

"......" could she have pinched herself then? But he let that go and forgave her since he had troubled her too much.

"Forget it! I will be kind hearted this time." he said as he rubbed his cheeks with his small hands and then looked at the tray. 

The dish was covered with a large utensil so he was not able to see what was in it.

"So, what if there is a surprise here?" he asked, looking at the tray and then at her blooming face.

She beamed at his words.

"Oh, nothing special. I just brought you some snacks since you must be tired after wielding a sword all the time." she looked at both of them with sheer excitement in her voice that he raised a brow.
