Thugs Must Not Come Unannounced or Bai Jingfei Will Break Their Heads Open With a Candle Holder.

Bai Jingfei heard the loudest thud she had heard since she had blown up. The noise shocked her awake despite her being a heavy sleeper, that could sleep through most if not all things.

Dread filled her body.

Only her father's study was anywhere near her room, and her father was a quiet old man. He was gentle and would never make any loud noises, lest he disturbed Bai Jingfei.

She instantly got to her feet and picked up a candle holder to bash an intruder with if they were to enter her room. She slowly walked to the door, trying not to make a single sound in the fear that the intruder would hear her.

She slowly opened the heavy door with a loud creak and to Bai Jingfei's relief she realized that it was bright outside. It was quite sunny and for the first time in her life she felt thankful for the sunlight.

No one was stupid enough to try to rob the Bai family during the day time.

If it was night there was still a possibility of them sneaking in but during the day time it was highly improbable unless they snuck in from the nobles' market.

And which noble would ever sneak into another noble's house.

Of course Bai Jingfei doesn't count. She wasn't raised noble and the house she snuck into was her own. It wasn't really sneaking if it was your own property.

Bai Jingfei slowly lowered her candle holder.

She had previously abused this very candle holder while trying to call a maid and the poor candle was yet to recover. She secretly thanked it for its services and casually walked toward her father's study, still dressed in her nightgown.

Inside the study was Bai Jingfei's father and a man that could only be her brother. He was holding a table, seemingly ready to throw it.

He was a tall man with sharp defined features. Short dark hair and equally dark eyes. A standard handsome man to a tee. He looked nothing like his short and old father.

Bai Jingfei stared at him for a moment and he stared back at her for a moment.

The two fools of the Bai family had finally met.

Of course Bai Jingfei took the crown in foolishness but Bai Liu was not too far off.

Instantly upon meeting Bai Liu's eyes Bai Jingfei saw flashes of memories of this very brat, albeit tinier, bullying the heck out of her.

From tearing a stuffed bunny of hers to throwing mud on her, Bai Liu had bullied Bai Jingfei in every single way possible.

Bai Jingfei didn't know what this body was trying to tell her by showing her these memories but she knew for sure that Bai Liu was a brat of the highest order.

How exactly was Bai Jingfei to have known that Bai Liu did those things thinking he was "playing" with Bai Jingfei?

Bai Liu had always grown up breaking things and playing in the mud and causing trouble. He had thought his soft and delicate sister would enjoy the same things as her and thus took her along, seemingly torturing her.

He had done so because he liked her, not because he truly wanted to hurt Bai Jingfei or make her sad.

Of course every time they played together ended with Bai Jingfei crying and Bai Liu wondering what exactly he had done wrong.

Unfortunately for him, Bia Jingfei and her body had now marked him as enemy number 1.

Or maybe 2 considering the princes.

Well, if we count the princes it's probably enemy number 7 or 8 or somewhere down there.

So Bai Jingfei, despite realizing that this man could only be her older brother, pointed at him with a stupid grin on her face and stared.

"Papa, who is this weird man?"

Immediately, Bai Liu and prime minister Bai began whispering among themselves hurriedly.

"I thought you told her who I am?"

"I did but I never showed her your picture!"

"How could you assume she'd recognize me without showing her a picture?" growled Bai Liu.

"I forgot… Okay? This is why you should take over the family, I'm losing my memory and I want to spend time with-, no-, I mean resting…" screamed Prime minister Bai much like a child making up an excuse to stay up past their bedtime.

Bai Liu was definitely not going to believe any of the nonsense that prime minister Bai was shouting out.

He knew very well that his father was just getting lazy and simply wanted to slack off. It was highly likely that if Bai Liu really took over the reins, prime minister Bai would suddenly regain energy and go around travelling with his cherished little daughter.

Bai Liu wasn't going to take this work just lying down.

At the very least he needed prime minister Bai to do half of the work, there was no way he could manage all of the work at once.

Bai Liu also knew that the moment prime minister Bai wiped his hands clean of all the family work he would go around gloating about how free and happy he was and how young he felt.

In most families the sons fought, even going as far as to kill siblings and parents to take over the family and gain all the power.

Yet in the Bai family no one really wanted to work.

There was Bai Jingfei, who only wanted to get rich through shady means, prime minister Bai who just wanted to pamper his young daughter and Bai Liu who wanted to play with his sister without her crying at the end.

They would probably be better off just selling off their noble title and running away to the countryside to party and squander their riches.

Bai Jingfei most definitely would love that idea.

She looked quite frustrated, seeing father and son squabble for a good ten minutes about work neither of them wanted to do, before interrupting them.

Resting her hand on her hip like a diva, she grinned.

"So papa? Won't you tell me who this thug is?"
