58 Pee In This Cup For Me

After a good night's rest, Bai Jingfei was ready to go face Song Yongrui to discuss the construction of the dam. It wasn't Song Yongrui who was the problem though, it was the other senior members of the Jianghu.

After all, her offer was highly suspicious.

If an enemy offered you a wonderful gift, a giant wooden horse for instance, it was highly likely that it wasn't really a gift.

They say, don't look a gift horse in the mouth, but if the horse is farting a little too much, it might be wise to get it checked up.

She had already received and counted out the money she had scammed from Song Zihao, and she was now prepared to take any challenges from the Jianghu head on.

Song Zihao had been a bit whiny when presenting Bai Jingfei with his large sack of cash but it was understandable. Anyone would be disgruntled if scammed and blackmailed.

Sun Mei had wondered what exactly Song Zihao had been up to. Bai Jingfei had confidently brushed off her worries with her eloquent lies.

"He borrowed money from heavenly doctor Ming and took a pill. He said he'll pay it off in installments." whispered Bai Jingfei.

Normally one would wonder why the person sold something to the jianghu, but heavenly doctor Ming was a well known money grubber. He even had a case open because of someone impersonating him, which caused him to lose one herb worth of money,

And he was demanding the death penalty to the person who had impersonated him.

But at the end of the day it was highly likely he would let them off with exorbitant compensation.

Bai Jingfei strolled out of the room, her hair tied up in two intricate buns by Sun Mei. She was wearing a light pink dress a maid had procured for her, and a lot of delicate, rose gold jewelry.

"You look beautiful FeiFei!" whispered Sun Mei, brushing out the wrinkles from Bai Jingfei's dress. Bai Jingfei was dressed like a fairy and Sun Mei was completely to blame.

Initially Bai Jingfei had been reluctant to wear the dress but after a ton of praise and edging on from Sun Mei, she eventually gave in. She was a sucker for praise after all. A little bit of praise and it was likely she would fall for everything someone said.

Bai Jingfei grinned and walked out of the room to finally make her way toward the meeting hall.

After almost tripping into 3 ponds, Bai Jingfei reached the meeting hall.

As soon as she entered she was met by stares from multiple bulky, muscular men. Each one of them looked more fierce than the next.

However Bai Jingfei was not scared of them. From previous experiences she knew that the more muscular a man was, the easier he was to fool. While this was just a generalization it had held out pretty well for her.

The only exception so far had been the emperor.

He was neither muscular, nor smart.

"Daughter of prime minister Bai." greeted the crowd in unison, in their deep booming voices.

Soon Bai Jingfei sat herself down and listened to the discussion that had been happening, For the first time she did not attempt to nap through it either. She was sincerely listening, because she wanted to leave a good impression of the people of the jianghu.

Excluding Song Zihao of course.

Song Zihao was there to be bullied.

"So how exactly can a barrier be built in the cliffside? While construction shouldn't be a problem, there is a landslide problem in that region."

"True. If we send workers in there to break down parts of the cliff it is likely there will be casualties."

"Is the damage worth the strategic placement?"

Song Yongrui's voice cut through the chaos. He had his feet on the table, and was dressed like an unsightly thug as usual. Everything about him screamed 'I don't know how to dress'.

"Bai Jingfei! What do you propose we do?"

Bai Jingfei, who had been quietly sitting in the background, was now brought to attention.

"Well, I can try finding a method to remotely blow up the mountainside but I'm not sure it'll work…" she whispered, "You'll have to trust me on that one."

Song Yongrui casually nodded his head in agreement. "How long will a solution take?"

"A few days at most." said Bai Jingfei confidently and brushed her bangs out of her face, unsuccessfully a few times, before blowing them out of her mouth.

"Wouldn't that be expensive?" smirked Song Zihao from the sidelines, "We can't afford to help you pay for any of the materials you need."

Bai Jingfei laughed, almost rolling over as she choked on her laughter. Her nefarious laughter sent chills up Song Zihao's spine

"I only need two things." she said, counting on her fingers.

Song Yongrui smiled as he cut into the conversation, "And those are?"

"A place to work. Preferably an alchemy room."

Song Yongrui nodded. "That's easy. We have one to the north of this house. We'll give you the key. It might be a little dusty, so we can have a maid go ahead and clean it tonight."

"What's the second thing?!" screamed Song Zihao. He knew that since the first request was so mundane, the second one was definitely something he wouldn't be able to bear.

Bai Jingfei stalled for a few minutes, in a fake thinking position, rubbing the underside of her nose. She was creating suspense for Song Zihao because she knew that every second she stretched the request by, his heart pounded more.

She had never realized it, but she was quite definitely a sadist when it came to dealing with Song Zihao. She somehow got joy from his pain.

Bai Jingfei lifted an empty cup in front of her. It was a cheap bamboo one that she had previously been using to carry around some trash.

"Please pee in this cup for me."
