Start Of Misunderstandings

"No! No princess, you are very beautiful. I.. of course, i will have breakfast with you." the maid replied awkwardly as she did not dare to refuse the royalty twice and more than that.. The girl looked so adorable while asking that, she did not have the heart to refuse her.

How could they treat such an adorable girl so cruelly! All the staff had heard what had happened to the princess in her palace. But many thought that she must be a brat or tough to deal with so the maids went to the lengths of avoiding her without a fear of getting punished.

But she always thought how tough it could be to deal with a three year old that maids started to torture her. So, when the work was offered, she accepted it happily.

She was curious to meet the princess and see if she was that bad! Even if she was, a three year old could be taught, right?

But what if with that gentleness and adorability. She looked so kind and sweet. And how she had cared so much about Penny and even her now.

Those maids were cruel to treat such a child that way!

"Come princess, let me help you in bathing first." The maid forwarded her hands and Renata held them with a wide grin on her face.

It was easier than she had thought. The maid took her into the wash room and helped her in cleaning herself.

"The weather is hot today, so i have kept the water cold but if you want hot water then do tell me, princess." Renanta nodded shyly as the maid rubbed her back.

"Umm pretty sister, have my father asked you to work for me?" She tested the water as she asked in an adorable childlike voice to show that she was a harmless bunny.

Was she worried that her father did not care about her? There are so many rumors ongoing that his majesty has asked the maids to torment her but now that the truth was out, he was pinning the blame on maids.

Otherwise how would maids be so daring to treat the one and only princess of the empire that badly. Many believed it due to the cold nature of his majesty but did the princess think that way too.

Even if that was the truth, she did not want to hurt the sentiments of a three year old girl who needed love and care to grow up.

"Of course, your father had personally come and chosen me for the task. He cares for you a lot, princess." Renata flinched at the last line. The pain of the dagger piercing her back returned when the maid touched her back.

Ha! Her father loves her! What a joke! But she did not need the love of that cold man.

"Oh my, was I rough. I will be more gentle now, princess." The maid stared at the small scars on her body and tears welled in her eyes. How could they beat such a young kid so much that I have left scars.

Were they even human or all were damn monsters! Scumbag! She would go and tell the guarding night to beat those women at night. No! She would go personally and beat all of them with her own hands.

She felt so bad for the young girl that her blood boiled while Renata had already marked her as her enemy.

'Just how good was it that my father, the cold monster, went personally to fetch her for me? Was she there to make sure I never crossed the line? Ha! At least she treats me as a fool to tell the truth. I will see who will control whom!' her eyes burnt with the desire to win this time no matter what.

"If father had chosen you personally then he must have taken you in high regard. You must be an old worker here, right?" Renata asked carefully to not cross the line in case the girl would be suspicious of her.

She had to make sure that the maid would believe that she was nothing but a foolish kid.

"Huh! Oh, no! I think I was chosen because I am young and kids get along with young people." and I am the only one who volunteered for it.

She could not tell her that it was not the emperor but the head maid who thought that single Penny would not be enough to take care of a kid. Since she was working as a nanny, the princess would need a personal maid too. She did not want to break the heart of the child.

'So my father thinks that if the girl were young, I would be careless and she would be able to sway me. Ha! How delusional!'

"That is so thoughtful. Then I will be in your care, pretty sister! Please take good care of me." Renata smiled brightly as the maid took her out of the water.

Her smile was no less than the soft glow of the moon. It was so bright that Lucy felt she was losing her sanity. Now that she had taken a bath, her whole body was glowing like fairies.

Damn! She could not believe that she did not need to work for the cold blizzard of an emperor anymore and would spend all her time with a little lovely fairy who smiled brightly.

"Yes, princess, I will always be around you to take care of you!" the smile on her face of the girl froze as she hugged the maid and cold field her eyes.

'I will make sure that you will be my pawn instead of my father!'
