Everyone Wants To Go To Heaven

God was bored of humans. Bored of watching them while doing nothing. They had nothing going for them in life so it was time to end them all. But not without having some fun. The worthy humans would be sent to heaven to watch as chaos unfolded on Earth. The ones left behind had to fight off demons and monsters to survive. But these valiant humans could win a chance to come to Heaven as well. All they had to do was accumulate 10,000,000 points in the system. All of this would be one fun game. Except Athan thought this was all really dumb. However, he needed to get to heaven as soon as possible. His favorite web novel author was up there!

Golem Master Part 2: Nightmirage

Athan slashed at the Nightmirage with his Bloodvenom daggers. The monster reacted quickly making Athan miss again. Athan quickly teleported away as the Nightmirage flicked its long tongue to hit him. He needed to be faster.

The Nightmirage turned quickly and threw an arm at Athan. Lucille fired an arrow at the monster causing its arm to bubble a vibrant green color. The creature screamed and turned its attention to Lucille. Just as it was about to attack her, Hybrid fired two shots of magic energy from her fingers. The monster turned its attention again and that's when Athan struck again.

They'd been doing this tango for the last fifteen minutes. If any one of them made a mistake it was over.

Athan knicked the monster on the arm and then teleported behind its leg slashing it. The monster screamed and Athan teleported a few steps out of its range allowing Lucille and Hybrid to complete the assault.

{Bloodvenom Energy Level1: 0. Please charge before using again}

Right now??? His luck was decreasing every second he spent inside this dungeon.

The Nightmirage roared and ran up the sides of the wall charging toward Lucille. Athan quickly teleported over to her. He grabbed her arm and pulled her backward, but the Nightmirage was almost as fast as his teleport.

The Nightmirage swung its large hand and hit them sending them flying across the pit. They landed on a pile of bones that crunched under their weight.

[vixy: noooo ( ⁰д⁰)]

[mark127: I'm impressed that's the first time they got hit]

[EbonthornVictory: ( ´〒^〒`)]

Hybrid shot at the Nightmirage relentlessly while the monster charged at Athan and Lucille.

Athan dug into his hoodie pocket frantically. There had to be something in here. Anything! His hand brushed against a golf-ball-sized item.

Perfect!

Athan pulled the item out and slammed it on the ground in front of them right before the Nightmirage reached them.

The Nightmirage's fist met a golden dome around them.

{Thotin's Shield HP: 90}

The Nightmirage screeched and slammed its fist against the shield again.

{Thotin's Shield HP: 80}

[wewerealive: Such a cool item!]

[Impulse#2: Where did he get that from?]

[foxy108: What a pleasant surprise...]

The Nightmirage turned to face the only exposed opponent on the field. Hybrid's eyes widened and she began firing at the Nightmirage again.

Athan quickly stood up and looked inside his hoodie pocket again. He couldn't teleport with Hybrid, but if he could find another shield he could teleport over to her and save her.

"I'll distract it with my arrows!" Lucille said pulling an arrow in her bow.

Even though they had crashed on it, the bow was in perfect shape. Lucille stepped through the shield and fired a shot at the monster. Lucille quickly retreated back inside as it roared and quickly dashed over to the shield again. The monster banged on the shield causing the ground to shake from the force.

{Thotin's Shield HP: 60}

{Thotin's Shield HP: 40}

"Do you have anything else to help us?" Lucille said. "The only magic item I have is this bow and the poison doesn't to affect it that much. And my power is healing so all I can really do is stall."

Did he have anything? All of his weapons needed to be recharged. The downside to having an infinite pocket was forgetting everything he put inside of it. Countless magic items could probably be lost forever. He didn't carry many weapons either because he could never find any that were going to be more useful than his Bloodvenom daggers.

The daggers from the low-level dungeon!

They had the special ability to take HP from opponents with one scratch. All he had to do was get close enough.

He quickly rummaged through his pocket and pulled the daggers out. The gold hilts glinted as if they knew that it were their savior.

[vixy: he has another weapon?]

[foxy108: Frost seems like he has infinite items...]

[wewerealive: How come his rank is so low??? It makes no sense!]

[juliasmiles: He should participate in challenges more often he's super interesting]

"Hybrid!" he yelled. "Hit the Nightmirage again. I need you to distract it."

Athan turned to Lucille. "You keep firing arrows at it. If I can hit the Nightmirage we will win, but we still need to wear it down. I don't know how long it will take for all its HP to be drained."

Lucille nodded firmly.

{Thotin's Shield HP: 30}

Athan teleported over to Hybrid as she was shooting magic at the monster.

"You make it over to the shield. It's not going to last for much longer, but as long as I'm attacking the Nightmirage it shouldn't lose HP rapidly."

"Got it," Hybrid said. "I'll keep firing shots from over there."

Athan and Hybrid split up. Athan taking the right and Hybrid the left. Lucille shot an arrow at the Nightmirage's back the poison hissing loudly. The monster turned its head rapidly.

The creature didn't know which opponent to go after. This was the perfect time for him to strike.

Athan teleported to the Nightmirage and swung his dagger at it precisely.

However, the Nightmirage's reflexes were unbeatable. The monster turned quickly forcing Athan to teleport back to the outer skirts of the pit.

Athan gritted his teeth. He missed. The entire team was counting on him. He couldn't make another mistake or they'd all die. This game of ping pong was saving them, but at a certain point, they would run out of energy.

Hybrid shot magical energy at the Nightmirage again causing the creature to turn its back on Athan.

Again. Only this time hit the monster. One time would be enough. A tiny scratch could end this fight.

He teleported to the monster and raised his dagger moving his arm in a powerful slashing motion.

{Soul-reaper daggers HP: +1}

A direct hit.

Athan teleported back quickly just as the Nightmirage swung its fist at him. The HP wasn't going down by much, but it was lowering. Victory was theirs. The last battle would be one of tenacity.

[redfur: Why did he only strike it once? (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻]

[juliasmiles: maybe the weapon has a special ability?]

[EbonthornVictory: Quick someone check what that weapon is!]

[vixy: that weapon can drain HP from an opponent!]

[mark127: This world is so cool... I wish I was down there (T▽T)]

Lucille fired another arrow at the Nightmirage before quickly retreating back inside the shield. The Nightmirage swung at her and connected with the shield.

{Thotin's Shield HP: 10}

Athan teleported to the monster and struck again.

{Soul-reaper daggers HP: +5}

This monster was stupidly tenacious and these weapons were stupidly slow.

Athan teleported on top of its back and struck it once more.

{Soul-reaper daggers HP: +10}

Hybrid shot the Nightmirage in the eyes causing it to stumble back in agony.

Athan teleported behind its leg and slashed it three times.

Left arm.

Right leg.

Neck.

Left arm again.

{Soul-reaper daggers HP: +30}

The Nightmirage swung at Athan again. Athan teleported away, but it wasn't as close of a call as before. It was slowing down!

"Keep attacking it! We're about to win."

[vixy: wooo (ᗒᗨᗕ)]

[EbonthornVictory: \\\(۶•̀ᴗ•́)۶////]

[juliasmiles: Go Athan go! ✽-(ˆ▽ˆ)/✽ ✽\(ˆ▽ˆ)-✽]

{Attention contestants the Nightmirage is at low HP keep fighting to defeat it!}

{Thotin's Shield HP: 0}

Athan, Lucille, and Hybrid moved together as one unit all firing what they had left at the Nightmirage.

The monster tried running away, but the Soul-reaper daggers had done its damage. The Nightmirage collapsed to the ground without moving.

{Nightmirage killed! Points acquired: 5,000}

"Great job everyone!" Lucille cheered.

[EbonthornVictory: They won!!!!!]

[vixy: i was scared for a second there]

[juliasmiles: They did really well]

[mark127: They put up a good fight!]

{Current point total: 17,427}

{Special Reward: Dungeon chest!}

{Congratulations your rank has gone up!}

{Current rank: 345}

"That took forever," Athan muttered as he put his daggers away

Hybrid was already rummaging inside the dungeon chest.

"Just some basic power-up items. No magic items or weapons," she said.

For once, Athan could actually use those power-up stones. His weapons were completely depleted of energy. This dungeon was making him put in too much extra work. It was quite tiring, but killing one monster had gotten him a lot more points than the low-level dungeons he frequented.

Athan crouched down next to Hybrid and looked at the assortment of stones.

{Ink Stone: Use this to upgrade dark-type weapons!}

{Cursed Whittle: Use this to upgrade curse-type weapons!}

These items better be useful. It would be too much to bear on his mind if they weren't.

Athan pulled both sets of his dagger out again.

{Would you like to upgrade Bloodvenom daggers with Ink Stone?}

"Yes."

{Bloodvenom daggers successfully upgraded!}

{Bloodvenom daggers Energy Level: 7}

Two levels was not bad.

{Would you like to upgrade Soul-reaper daggers with Cursed Whittle?}

"Yes."

{Soul-reaper daggers successfully upgraded!}

{Soul-reaper daggers Energy Level: 6}

"Athan let me give you a heal," Lucille said bashfully.

"Eh? No need. I'll be fine."

Athan could still walk and talk just fine. His back hurt a little from the crash earlier, but he'd live through it.

"We were fighting for a long time and we both got hit pretty badly. It couldn't hurt to get a small heal." She argued back gently.

"Fine." Athan sighed.

Arguing was too tiring. Better to just do what she wanted.

{Recieving healing from contestant Lucille!}

{Current HP: 10}

Maybe a small heal wasn't that bad of an idea.
