24 Awakening Tuly's Crown

Well, that only made Tuly more confused. "Then why would you want to know something like that?"

Lian pondered over it a bit and came up with an excuse, telling him, "I was just curious as to what people of this world like and hate to do. After all, this world is completely different from ours. You just so happened to be on my side, so I asked you first."

"I see..." Tuly found it strange that Lian wanted to know such a thing. But then again, there was no lack of weird people in this city. "The thing I love the most is eating meat! I basically live to eat meat, which is also why we're in this restaurant. Not only is it quite cheap, but the cook here can also prepare quite a good meat dish."

"As for hate..." Tuly went silent before saying, "Well, I hate a lot of things, but it would probably be better to say that I dislike them. Real hate... I'm not sure if there's something I can say I truly hate. At least not something I would rather die instead of letting it happen."

Lian nodded after hearing that. "I guess I understand that feeling. In my case, for example, I like chemistry, which is why I've worked with it before."

At the same time, as Lian explained what chemistry was about, he talked with Lugg through his mind. 'Alright, he loves meat. Can you do anything with that? Well, I don't even know if crowns can feel the taste of food.'

-We can,- Lugg said. -Or, to be more specific, we can feel the taste of the food you do.- He then looked at Tuly's crown before saying, -I can give it a shot. Let me think about the meat dishes we had back on Earth.-

[I can also try that,] added Carol's crown. [Carol wasn't the best at cooking, but she did know how to cook good food at least. Compared to the dishes they have here and their seasoning, our Earth food is definitely divine.]

Both Lugg and Carol's crown started to send messages to Tuly's crown, explaining the dishes they used to eat back on Earth in as much detail as possible.

As a consequence, Tuly began to eat more and more. "Hey, waiter, send more meat, quick!"

Grisa and the others couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you exaggerating a little?"

However, Tuly continued to swallow everything like a vacuum. "I- chomp, chomp, I don't know why, but I'm feeling extremely hungry. I simply can't stop at all."

Lugg and Carol's crown obviously noticed that and increased the rate at which they talked about the meat dishes back on Earth. They even talked about dishes that neither Lian nor Carol had eaten before but at least knew they existed.

Finally...

{Fuck you! Can you stop enticing me?! We obviously don't have such dishes in this shitty world!}

Naturally, Lian heard that, and so did Lugg and Carol's crown. As one could imagine, in the middle of them talking about meals, they also dropped the method of how to communicate back to them.

-Hey! You're awake!- Lugg was obviously happy to hear Tuly's crown.

[Indeed, that dormant state that we could feel from Tuly's crown is now gone. His crown's sentience is working at full speed now.] Carol's crown confirmed the same thing.

{This...} Naturally, it didn't take long for Tuly's crown to notice what was happening. {Wow! Holy shit! How could I stay asleep for so many years?!}

However, as soon as Tuly's Crown finished saying those words, something different happened.

*Bang!*

Tuly slammed the table with his two hands as he got up from the table. Everyone who looked at him could see the excitement on his face. "Hahaha! It's here!"

{Obviously, idiot!} Tuly's crown added. {You've been at the peak of Level Two for a few years now. You only needed me to let my level increase. Now that I'm sentient, I have no reason to stop my host from leveling up. Come, my third spike!}

Tuly quickly sat on an open space on the ground as he focused his attention on absorbing the surrounding Star Energy. The other customers understood what Tuly was doing, and they all paid attention. It wasn't every day one could see someone increasing their levels. Not to mention that some of them knew that Tuly was a Level Two Star Energy Warrior. It meant he was definitely entering Level Three.

Lugg then warned Tuly's crown in Lian's stead. -Friend, there's no point in trying to talk with Tuly. He can't hear you, nor does he know you exist.-

{What?!} Immediately, Tuly's Crown tried to call Tuly's attention by using the same method as Lugg and Carol's crown. However, sure enough, Tuly showed absolutely no answer. {Why is that? No, wait, let me finish increasing my level first, then we can talk.}

Grisa's group seemed even more existed than Tuly himself. "Level Three! Tuly is going to be a Level Three Star Energy Warrior!"

Lian's group asked, confused. "Is that a big deal?"

"Of course!" Hira answered straight away. "Do you know how many Level Three Star Energy Warriors we have in our city? I'm not sure how many there are exactly, but I can guarantee it's not more than a few tens of them. With Tuly reaching Level Three, his status in the city will immediately soar to the skies!"

Lian had to admit that the only other Level Three crown he had seen so far was that guard called Grak. Other than him, all the crowns around were Level One and Two. "I see... well, congratulations."

A few minutes later, a burst of Star Energy came out of Tuly's body as he took a deep breath. At the same time, Lian could see a new spike growing on Tuly's crown. 'That confirms it. The spikes on the crowns are definitely related to their level.'

Lugg and Carol's crown agreed with him.

-Indeed.-

[No doubt.]

*Bram, bram, bram, bram, bram...*

Suddenly, Lian's group heard the sound of many steps, showing that quite a big group was coming in their direction.

Tuly, who had an excited expression on his face, could already guess who was coming. "Hmph! They sure don't waste time."
