Chapter 22 Explain Yourself

"Haaa, M-Mother?" Long Lei said as he woke up. He noticed he wasn't in his bedroom and his mother and father were waiting for him with concerned expressions.

"Thank the heavens!" Qin Mei exclaimed as she immediately lunged towards Long Lei. "What's the fuss, can you get off me?" Long Lei asked as he tried to squirm out of the hug. "You're not getting out of it this time." Qin Mei declared as she held him extremely tightly.

After a few minutes of this, Qin Mei eventually let him go. "So, what happened yesterday?" Long Tian asked, as he locked eyes with Long Lei. "What do you mean what happened? What's going on actually?" Long Lei asked confusedly.

"I think you know better than I do what's going on. There was a surge of energy in your room yesterday, one so strong it could be felt across the sect, not only that, when your mother went to check on you, you were unconscious." Long Tian explained, as Long Lei immediately looked to the side trying to avoid suspicion.

"So I'll give you 2 options, either you tell us what happened and we'll just let it slide, or you can avoid the question, and we'll be watching you for the next week." Long Tian gave him an ultimatum.

"F-Fine, since you've forced my hand. Along with those cultivation pills I found, I also found a book, inside a list of techniques were detailed, and I was using one of them yesterday when it went out of control." Long Lei said, trying to explain away what happened.

"Where's the book now?" Long Tian inquired. "I don't know, after reading it for a bit, it disappeared in a flash, but I can remember everything about it vividly." Long Lei explained, making up as much bull shit as he could muster.

"Okay, in this case that's your own lucky encounter, I wont ask more about it, but what about this odd green bean." Long Tian continued his interrogation. 'Fucks sake.' Long Lei complained, as he began to run through the 100s of possible explanations.

"Oh and you better not say its just some regular bean, I am not sure what it is, but I can sense something odd about it." Long Tian hammered in, forcing Long Lei into a difficult position.

"That is a Senzu Bean, an excellent healing item, on consumption it can heal almost any wounds, replenish stamina and qi, its a miracle drug." He explained before continuing. "You can keep that if you want, I have a couple more and I have no use for them at the moment."

"I-I see." Long Tian said in shock. 'Where did he find all these treasures, he found cultivation boosting pills, heavenly techniques, and miracle drugs, my son's luck is too good.' He contemplated before keeping the pill away.

"Well seeing as you explained everything of importance, you can leave, BUT, never and I mean NEVER mention this to another person!" Long Tian warned him. "Don't worry father, if I went around flaunting my secrets willy nilly, don't you think you would have found out sooner?" Long Lei explained before getting off the bed.

Surprisingly his body had recovered quite well, and he could already move somewhat normally after yesterday. "Oh, and I better tell you something, the sect is in high alert right now, after what transpired yesterday, a Beast King has awoken, so be careful." Long Tian told him before Long Lei walked out.

'This child, he just causes one problem after another, well hopefully in a few years he'll be of enough strength to solve his own problems.' Long Tian mused, before locking eyes with Qin Mei. "So what are we going to do? Are we going to send him off?" Qin Mei asked him with concern.

"We'll see, hopefully this bean he gave me will come in handy and I can somehow defeat the Beast King, if not, then immediately escape with him and your disciples." He said as he clutched his fists.

"I hope our son's bite can match his bark." Long Tian sighed. "Don't worry, the Beast King may be a Tier 3 Demonic Beast, but if all of you team up on it, you should succeed. Not only that, its been in hibernation for so long, its strength is definitely weaker." Qin Mei comforted him.

"Yes, lets hope so, either way even if I am gone I know you can take care of him well." Long Tian said before kissing Qin Mei on the forehead and leaving the room.

'I had my turn, my chance to shine brightly, now I must clear the current obstacles, for my son, for my sect!' Long Tian mused. "Haha, I haven't gotten to go all out in a while have I?" He said to himself as he left the compound and flew to a far off mountain.

'I wonder what all the fuss is, a Beast King? Isn't that just a glorified Tier 2 Demonic Beast? Father and the Sect Elders can clear that out easily.' Long Lei mused as he entered his room.

"Either way, I have no time to slack, I lost a lot of rage points yesterday, its time to activate Rage Plan Delta!" Long Lei announced before summoning a couple clones. "You know what you have to do!" Long Lei declared before the clones saluted him and got to work.

'Hehehe, what enrages the internet most? I think everyone knows its one class of people, and I will use them to my utmost to incite as much rage as possible!' Long Lei thought, as he chuckled to himself.
