2. This Is Our MC

In the continent of Ostrvo, there are two races that have been fighting in a non-stop war for more than 100 years. The battle involved humans and vampires, humans trying to expand their territory and vampires defending their land.

Many victims fell on both sides of the war. This war even changes a person's mind and physique into something that is not supposed to be.

Lived a vampire boy accompanied by his uncle and his father. The city where they live is located on the eastern side of the continent of Ostrvo facing the coast that leads to the sea, called Dietrich.

Ten years ago, humans invaded the coast and the city. All mankind of vampire in the city, including his uncle and his father, fought to defend the city.

Many vampires were killed in action on that tragic day, but in the end an army of vampire wizards managed to defend the city.

This prologue is quite familiar from thle last chapter, right? Let's cut it off, we could skip a lot of dialogue and cliché scenes.

The point is, that boy lost his beloved family and many of his friends. His father did not survived the cruelty of the invasion, while his uncle was confirmed missing.

Not long after the incident, he vows to avenge his father's death and rebuild his village with the remaining vampires and dreams becoming a strong wizard to find the mastermind behind his city's invasion.

Ten years later….

Dietrich Town in someone's home…

A boy scratches his butt while lying down and eating his snacks. He enjoying the sunrise from his yard on a mat. His house is located on a slightly elevated plain with a lawn overlooking the beach.

"Huaaa" he yawned.

"Is this the boy that we saw from the prologue, right? I thought he is doing something a-hero-character does, like training or something? I thought he still had grudge against the humans who attacked his village ten years ago? And that boy is quite short for a hero type character right?"

"You guys are so noisy. I'm enjoying my morning right now", replied the boy with an annoyed face. Yes, that brat is the same boy from the prologue, named Exxone Valiant.

He is a 155 cm boy with a normal posture for a boy of his age, his flashing yellow eyes looked lazy and cold.

"Fuuuu…. Haaa, let's go .. " Exxone getting up while stretching out his hand and walking out of his house to Magicna Mudrost, a magic school for vampires to learn magic from basic up to advanced levels.

His neighbor advised him to attend magic school if he wanted to avenge his family's death, by becoming a wizard to build strength to against the invaders.

"Surely you will ask, why after ten years I applied to this school right? IT'S BECAUSE I AM POOR! I can not afford to pay for school fees. Forget about grudge matter, if I die of hunger, my father can only laugh at me in that "other" world. After all, the age prohibition to apply in that school is fifteen years old, also I need more time to collect living expenses in another year"

He walked down the street towards the city, now Dietrich is more advanced than ten years ago. You can see some of Dietrich's antique buildings on the two shoulders of the road.

The building has shades colour of red and gray, with the shape of a building like a shrine for offerings, but that place is actually an hangout-spot for public. Another thing is, there are special themed clothes for Dietrich's people.

Usually vampires start from eighty years wears it everyday. Young vampires absolutely refuse to wear such troublesome clothes, you will look like a classic and old vampire.

Exxone continues to walk towards Magicna Mudrost until finally he sees a magnificent building surrounded by many vampires wearing wizard uniform, then he enters the school.

The letter M logo is displayed in bright shades filled with white, yellow and pink as a symbol of the school theme. The building looks like a classic vampire building from a novel I've read.

Exxone passed a lot of people at the gate, everyone was busy with their own business because today is the admission of new students. Many faces of young vampires with their parents passing by there.

Entering the main hallway, Exxone saw the new student registration desk.

"Excuse me, could I do registration here?" asked Exxone.

"Yes. Please fill in the form here, put your signature and your parent or guardian signature as well" replied the admin as he pulled out the paper form on the table.

Exxone walked away from the administration desk to another table to fill out the registration form. After filling out the form, Exxone Valliant, 16 years old, male, he looked at the table of signatures. Of course he had no parents or guardians to fill it out.

But it doesn't matter for him, "Luckily I memorized my father's signature just in case something like this happened", then he signed the form and submitted the form.

Then the admin gives another registration sheet. It is written 500 Vals are required for the first semester fee.

"Woah, it's pretty expensive to be a wizard, huh? It's war age now, looks like people need a lot of resources?" he muttered.

He took out his wallet and paid the pass 500 Vals.

Actually, 500 Vals is a cheap price rate in Dietrich.

This school has produced many talented and educated magicians. The students and teachers of this school also repelled human attacks ten years ago. Of course, the students who took part in the battle were students who has verified and recognized capabilities by the school.

Exxone went around the school and it took him about an half hour to see all the school facilities. Then Exxone arrived at the library, he decided to enter.

Entering the library, Exxone wanders around the library looking through books on basic magic, then he finds a book called "Magic for Dummies".

"Ha? This book seems to be making fun of me " he took the book and sat on the reading chair to read its contents.

On the first page it was written, "Hey, are you weak in magic? You better be a chicken farmer!" he is confused by the sentence and turned the next page, then this was written,

"Seriously? Give it up if you are not talented, I'm doing this to entertain myself with this book, don't take it to heart, okay? " Exxone's eyebrows began to sharpened, he opened the next page again.

"Okay okay, since you've come this far, let's start with beginner magic. First, beginner magic is memorization and writing magic, with this magic you can store and write any information also save it to your magic circle's memory."

"This magic will be more effective the more it is used, this technique is often used by chicken breeders to record egg orders and chicken feed supplies"

A red-eyed blonde girl who is 150 cm tall shouted at Exxone with an annoyed expression.

"Oh I'm-"

"STOP SCREAMING IN THE LIBRARY" the librarian also yelled at both of them and kicked them out of the library.

"Good job stranger! You got me kicked out of the library while I was reading my favorite novel" she said in a sharp tone with unfriendly gaze towards Exxone.

"I'm sorry, I got carried away after reading the book because what was written in the book annoyed me" he replied.

Before Exxone could finish his words, the girl had walked away from him.

From another building, a suspicious person saw them talking with a grin.
