Who am I to you?

'Why do I keep seeing him everywhere.' As Jia Yi thought while driving back home. Jia Yi thought that leaving the army would make her forget about him. But even after leaving, he wouldn't stop appearing in front of her.

The next couple of weeks, Jia Yi has started to get use to her job. Her students were also good that she doesn't have to worry much.

"Okay class, that it's for today. Goodbye."

"Good bye Miss Shen," as everyone said. Jia Yi watches everyone one of them leaves, and then started to put away all the equipment. "Miss Shen?" as another karate teacher knocks on the door.

"Huo Lao Shi." As Jia Yi turns and saw him standing at the door. "What brings you here?" as she asks him. "I see that it's time for lunch right now, and I was asking do you want to go eat together." He looks at her with a smile. Jia Yi didn't think much and agrees.

"Just wait for a moment. I have to go change."

"It's okay. Take your time, I'll wait for you at the front desk." Jia Yi nods and finished the last bit of cleaning. As she comes out from the locker room, she bumps into Mr. Lu. "Going to lunch?" as he asks her. Jia Yi nods. Ever since that day, Jia Yi tries her best not to bump into him. She still could felt that embarrassment. "Hao Hao came today and was asking if he can go see you. Since your going to lunch, do you want to join us?" as Mr. Lu asks him.

In Jia Yi's mind, she was so glad that she agrees to go eat lunch with Huo Zhi Ming. "I'm sorry, I've already agreed to go eat lunch with Huo Lao Shi." Mr. Lu nods and gave her a smile. "It's okay. Next time then."

Jia Yi said good bye and walked up to where Huo Zhi Ming is. "let's go," as she saids to him. As they walked out, Lu Yuan Ting happen to see them leaving once he got out of the restroom.

"Yuan Ting, let's go eat," as Mr. Lu calls out to him. He nods, but his eyes couldn't stop looking at them.

"Uncle Yuan Ting do you like that older sister?" as Hao Hao tugs on his shirt. Lu Yuan Ting suddenly shifts his eyes away and looks down at the little pest. "Hao Hao, do you want to do 20 push ups again?" as he looks down at his nephew. After hearing what Yuan Ting said, Hao Hao ran to his dad.

"What did you do to him again?" as Mr. Lu asks his brother. Yuan Ting laughs, and fuss around with Hao Hao's hair. "Nothing, just playing around with him. Am I right?" as he smiles at him. Hao Hao ignores him and ate his food.

"Daddy, where is the older sister from last time?" as Hao Hao asks. Before he can answer his own son, Lu Yuan Ting opens his mouth. "Your older sister went out on a date." Mr. Lu looks at his own brother and couldn't help but laugh.

"Uncle, why don't you go?" as Hao Hao asks him.

"Why should I go?" as he saids and continues to eat his food.

"Don't you like her?" as he saids it with an innocent look. "Plus if you don't go now, older sister will be snatch away." Mr. Lu almost spit out his food after listening to what his son said. "Hao Hao where did you learn this from?" as Yuan Ting asks him.

"You don't need to know this. You just need to know that you won't get a chance if you just see here." Hao Hao looks at Yuan Ting like his father.

"I really wonder if you are really 6," as Yuan Ting saids and looks at his brother. "Don't look at me," as he notice his brother's stare. No one taught Hao Hao's those words, and they know it by heart. "I guess I just have a very smart son,"as Mr. Lu proudly saids.

"why are you still seating here?" as he also played along and looks at Yuan Ting. He then could feel Lu Yuan Ting's death cold stare.

On the other hand....

"Shen Lao Shi, what do you want to eat?" as he asks her.

"I'll have a caesar salad," Jia Yi saids. After Huo Zhi Ming orders for both of them, they just sat their quietly waiting.

Jia Yi didn't know what to say so she rather have her mouth shuts. "Miss Shen, do you usually come here?" as Huo Zhi Ming finally opens his mouth and asks. Jia Yi shakes her head. "I just came back not too long ago, and I'm still not too use to the places here." Huo Zhi Ming nods and then asks her again.

"I heard from Mr. Lu that you worked in the military before right?" as he asks her. "Yes, it's been ten years that I've stayed in the military and recently I retired." Jia Yi straightforward answer didn't make the conversation keep going. Huo Zhi Ming kinda noticed and just in time their food came.

Their lunch ended fast, and Jia Yi denies Huo Zhi Ming's drive back home. After they parted, Jia Yi starts walking. She doesn't know if she should take the train or call a cab. All she wants to do right now is have a walk. As she stops and waits at the stop light, she sudden spaced out. She stares at the two little kids across from the other side of the street. As the mom is helping her kids to wipe their mouth, a smile went across Jia Yi's face.

But all of a sudden the smile in her face disappears.

'SHEN JIA YI! If you don't cherish yourself, then I don't think you are a qualified soldier.'

That same voice kept repeating itself over and over her head. Suddenly, the red light starts flashing and one of the kid ran out the road to pick up his ball.

"Zhang Er!" as the mother screams and watches the car about to hit her son. In a blink of second, Shen Jia Yi wraps the kid in her arm and rolls on the floor. Good thing that the car starts in time and no one is hurt.

Shen Jia Yi looks down at the kid. "Little fellow, are you okay?" as she asks her. The kid nods and from a near distance, he can hear her mother running towards him.

"Zhang Er, are you hurt?" as she examines him from head to toe. The kid shakes his head, "I'm okay." The mom quickly looks at Jia Yi. "Miss, are you okay? I'm so sorry that my kid has caused you trouble," as the mom quickly apologizes.

"It's okay. It's a good thing that he didn't get hurt." Jia Yi smiles at the little boy, and then slowly got up. Jia Yi slowly endures the pain from her feet, and just smiled.

As the ambulance came to double check if the kid is okay, Jia Yi rejects the need to see a doctor. As she starts walking, a sweet voice calls out to her.

"Older sister!" as Hao Hao screams and runs up to her.

The smile on her face went back, and looks at the little boy running up to her.

"How did you get here? Where's your dad?" as she bends down and gently asks him. Hao Hao didn't answer her, but just examines Jia Yi. Jia Yi noticed him looking at her. "What happened? I have something in my face?" as she smiles and checks to see if there's anything on her. But Hao Hao shakes his head.

"Older sister," as he said. Jia Yi looks at him and carefully listens to him. "Did you get hurt?" Jia Yi looks at the serious little boy in front of him and then shakes her head. "I didn't get hurt. You see I'm totally fine," as she stood up and made a turn. But as she made a turn, she could feel the pain at her feet again. But she didn't show it.

"Now tell me why you are here by yourself," as she looks at him.

"I'm not here by myself. I was with my daddy and uncle." But Jia Yi looks around, and don't see anyone. "Where are they?" as she asks him. Hao Hao points to the car at the corner of the street. And then two men walks out. "So, they also saw what happened before?" as Jia Yi asks Hao Hao. Hao Hao nods his head, and suddenly Jia Yi could feel that heart thumping so loud inside of her.

"Hao Hao, older sister have to go home right now. I'll see you next time," as Jia Yi quickly says good bye. But Hao Hao stops her.

"You don't want to see uncle?" as he looks right at her. He said it pretty loud that the two men could also hear it. Jia Yi quickly bends down and said, "it's not that I don't want to see him. Is that your older sister will get yell. Do you want to see me get yell by your uncle?" as she saids. Hao Hao thought about it and remembers how angry his uncle could get. And then quickly shakes his head.

"That's right. I better go now, before I get yell," as Jia quickly stands up. But Hao Hao still stops her and holds her hand. "It's okay. I'll protect you." His words made both men laughed, and Jia Yi don't know what to do with this little guy. "You can't protect me. It's better that I leave, so both of us can be safe." But Hao Hao didn't listen and starts dragging her to Lu Yuan Ting.

Both of them came up to those two big guys, and Jia Yi didn't even look at him. Hao Hao push her hand a little, and signals her to say something. Mr. Lu couldn't help, but watch his own son being the little cupid.

"Uhm Hao Hao is here. I'll get going," as Jia Yi saids. As she was about to turn and leave, the little cupid takes her hand. "Older sister, let uncle drive you home."

Jia Yi quickly rejects it. "It's fine, I could walk back home." She rather walk back home, then being stuck in the same atmosphere with him.

"Are you planning to walk back with your feet like that?" as a voice finally speaks up. Hao Hao's eyes lights up, and gave an eye to his father.

'How does he know my foot got injured.'

"I'm really fine. You see I can even jump." But right after jumping, Jia Yi regrets so bad. "Don't wait for me to carry you in," as Lu Yuan Ting saids with the same exact tone like he would back in the base.

Jia Yi gave him an eye. "Your not my boss right now. I don't have to listen to you." She finished saying and then turns to leave.

"AHH! Lu Yuan Ting, What are you doing?!" as she was being pick up. Hao Hao sneakily laughs, and opens the back car door for his uncle. Once he puts Jia Yi in, he threw another pair of car keys to his brother and drove away.

"Lu Yuan Ting, what's the point of this? I've already told you that I don't need your help." He suddenly then pulls the car to the side, and turns himself to the back facing her.

"I don't think you ever listen to anything I told you. No matter how many time I said it, you won't take care of yourself right?"

Jia Yi became silent. Then the same voice went back to her mind again.

'SHEN JIA YI! If you don't cherish yourself, then I don't think you are a qualified soldier.'

"Yes, your not wrong. I'm always like that, so what? Who am I to you? Please don't forget, I'm just only one of your pass colleagues. General Lu, I hope that you can mind your own business." She opens the door and left.
