6 Chapter 5: Experience

Over the year he spent in LA, Joseph changed for the better. It is not by the standard of other people but by him. He found himself here.

Living alone was tough. He, who was always served by servants and was pampered faced the reality once he left his home. He became more aware of his gender and identity. Joseph was arrogant enough to think that he is not pampered young master like other. He thought that he was independent and was good enough to support himself even without his family. But it was just his arrogant thought he carried on secretly while being satisfied by his test results and his humble self. He had good nature but big ego deep within him. That ego became stubbornness that lead him to LA. He was indeed naive, but he never regrets his decisions come here.

He learned three important things here.

One. Acceptance

At first he was dense and stupid. He was so used to the people's praise and respect that he forgot that people are different. He worked part time in a cafe at first. He broke plates and was scolded by his senior. He admitted his wrong in the outside and earned some goodwill, but inside he always saw others as inferior.

'It is just a plate' that thought was ringing in his ear at that moment. Even tough reason told that he broke someone else's thing, it felt unfair for him to be scolded.

Over time he noticed his natural pride and arrogance. If he didn't notice it, he would have most certainly would still think highly of himself as he surround himself with people from high society.

Thanks to this he interacted with people more naturally and accepted them as equal (not always tough, habits and ego is hard to control)

Two. Weakness

After making friends and acquaintances here and there, he would notice other's depression or negative emotions. At first, he felt like he can change them and acted like I-know-it-all and involved with their life. He thought he would be their salvation and advise them. But he realized life is not that simple thing and he was inexperienced and powerlessness. He would make a promise out of sudden impulsiveness thinking he would fulfill it no matter what. But after breaking his promise and hurting other did he realize [It is not easy to take responsibility.]

Three. Realization

Joseph always thought he suffered...but there were thousand times more miserable people than him. More he involved himself with other people's life more he saw. Such as people who lost their loved one or people who is so poor that they work their ass off or people who carry painful smile despite their agony or people who bear unwanted life because of their responsibility. He wasn't able to differentiate people's emotions accurately till this point. He was naturally sensitive to emotion and aura of people. But after learning to differentiate all of them, he felt like all he ever gone through till now was nothing but a puberty. He suddenly realized that maybe Noah was like himself. He realized that he was immature. And all of a sudden he felt going all the way to here to not get married with Noah was like a B rated seven o'clock drama.

[Maybe life itself was more dramatic than a drama]

So in Joseph's opinion people would go through this drama after drama till they build their life. It was his consultation with lot of loophole and inexperienced viewpoints at his tender age of sixteen. He might just come into another consultation after some more time.

——-

"You know what, I am glad you guys came here."

Cheerful voice of Joseph caught his two friends off guard as they was arguing in the presence of many people at the airport.

After seconds pause, Alfred smiled and replied seriously with a sincere heart.

"I am happy to see you in person too. Internet sucks."

Following that Wilson took back his scoldings and just smiled. He was not person who freely expresses themselves like Alfred anyway. But at this moment it was ok to just smile sincerely at Joseph. Because it felt like Joseph was able to tell what he was thinking.

——

"Young master Noah, when are you departing?"

"Two weeks later."

'After all I need to catch my little fiancée, since we are sixteen now'
