Chapter 9

Combat boots, dark cargo pants with a dozen pockets, leather vest, a wolf's head, torso, and arms. an aura that filled the space with silence.

This was a very powerful werewolf. Each breath he took was long and drawn out, when he exhaled it would kick up the dirt around him.

Alexiel felt no need to confirm or deny this man's assumptions. he didn't back down and let even more of his aura leak out and took a step forward.

"You all seem to be terrible hosts. My proxy seems to be on his last breath and you wish to share pleasantries with me outside. If I am who you assume me to be, wouldn't you just be openly making me your enemy?"

This half wolf half human state was actually an indicator that this werewolf was no pushover and was at least ranked decently within the pack. His aura on the other hand surpassed that of many pack leaders in the surrounding cities.

unfortunately Alexiel was still too inexperienced, he knew the person in front of him was definitely not a pushover, but had no concept of how this translated into battle prowess.

The werewolf didn't back down in front of so many members of his pack and also took another step forward showing off his toothy grin.

"Now now, how can you say we're bad hosts when you haven't even had a chance to see our splendid work! who knows, maybe after you've seen our latest masterpiece, it may inspire you to join our side.

You know, in our world, only the powerful have the right to speak. hehehe

I am 3rd enforcer Gordon, I was tasked with handling our meeting and bringing you back to our master. please follow me, may the sights behold your eyes with awe and wonder!

You will definitely understand that we are better allies than enemies. hehehe"

Alexiel clenched his fist tightly, he had zero patience for banter with these savages and just wanted to verify the condition of his father with his own eyes.

"They all have to die, i must kill them all, they cannot be allowed to leave here tonight, i want their heads to explode, they are disgusting, i hate them, i hate them, i hate them!"

These terrible thoughts started to fill his mind endlessly. He and his father had faced many hair raising situations together in his 14 years of life, but this… this felt so much closer to knocking on death's door than ever before.

"Alright, keep looking out for those walking leeches, don't want them to spoil our fun tonight.

Since our guest is already here we will move to a kill order on sight, make sure you make them all suffer! pluck their fangs out before you stake them.

Hehe if there is a vampire hell we want to make sure they feel ashamed even among their own damned kind!"

Alexiel didn't get tripped up as he followed behind Gordon alone, even after he heard these comments. He wasn't sure what kind of mind games were being played here but as long as there was a chance to save his father even one moment quicker he would grit through this momentary disrespect.

As he entered the factory Alexiel could tell that Jeremy was right on the spot. There were no less than 30 wolves pacing about inside and all of them were armed to the T with firearms.

"Are they planning on starting an all out war with the vampires? Is this trap of luring me here just an excuse to have the vampires completely mobilize their forces in an attempt to rescue me?"

The more Alexiel saw their setup the more unsure about everything he was. His relationship with the vampires was strictly business up until this point, at least publicly.

It's not that they hadn't requested him to join them, many of them even openly calling him young master. but he, with advice from his father, declined their offer every time.

His fathers mutant ability was a perfect counter for the vampires ability to roll minds, so its not like they could slowly mind control them into being their subordinates and after having tasted so much of Alexiels blood they had a very favorable opinion of him.

He had asked Cassandra the Master vampire of the city why she hadn't taken him by force, and her response was that with the plans they had in mind it would need to be his own choice to join them fully.

Many vampires even held devout views of him and offered to be his live-in servants. Alexiel had no mind for servants, he was just a young boy that wanted to spend his days with his family and looking for friends that he would love and that would love him back.

Seeing this army of werewolves at their proverbial door, did fill him with sadness though. If the vampires took it upon themselves to come and rescue him at the expense of their own people, he knew many kind faces he had gotten used to seeing would return to the world as ash.

Whatever this factory had been used for before, one wouldn't be able to tell at a glance as all the equipment, save the stuff nailed to the ground, had been stripped from its body. It looked like even most of the ladders and stairs had been taken away at one point or another.

It was very spacious and didn't leave much room for hiding or sneaking. As they were walking, Alexiel could sense they were getting closer to the center where he could feel the presence of his father but not yet see him.

Staring straight ahead, Gordon was very pleased with himself, he finally led their target deep enough into this makeshift base of theirs and he began his next speech.

"Unfortunately friend, I lied. We really don't care what happens to your proxy. Now that you are here we will be taking you out of this boring state and carrying you to your new home. This poor man here should be honored to have played a part in helping shift the power dynamic of the underground world.

His death, while excruciating, definitely had its merit.

Do it!"

Gordon's last comment was made to a few of the surrounding wolves. They had finally walked towards the center of the factory and were standing in front of what should be a human body.

Only this body was strung up on S shaped meat hooks through his shoulder blades. The body itself was also skinless everywhere except his head and genitals.

The chest of this bloody figure could barely be seen rising and falling at a very slow pace. If you were not paying attention on purpose you would believe this to be nothing other than a corpse string up before your very eyes. The heart was almost completely still only beating every few moments instead of seconds.

There were several buckets below the body over filled with blood. much more blood then should be possible for a human body. There were six IV's hooked into this body and blood could be seen being pushed into the body.

This time Alxiel froze and stared at this horror in front of him in a complete daze. he took the image of his fathers near disfigured face, defintiely having suffered a beating during the torture, while also not missing all the horrible wounds all over his body.

"Don't think he'll be saved with any vamp blood. we made sure to leave silver dust all throughout his body as we were working on him."

Alexiel heard Gordon buzzing in his head. no, maybe it was the buzzing of several rifles going off. Apparently they were going to gun him down now that he was secured within their formation.

Unfortunately for them, this fused state empowered Alexiel with skin able to absorb the impact of a bus smacking into him, without breaking open.

when these bullets could pierce his skin they directly fell to the ground. Oddly enough they were not typical bullets, but were high powered tranquilizer darts.

Their plan was not to turn him into a sieve, but rather planned to knock him unconscious and leave him unable to refuse their invitation to their domain.

Alexiel was mostly oblivious to the happening around him. He only had eyes for his father, and the longer he stared the deeper the image was burned into his psyche.

Alexiel could hear a very soft voice in the background trying to bring him back to his senses, whispering lies to him about how things would be ok. unfortunately Alexiels own voice was getting louder by the moment and completely drowned out the other insignificant voice.

Alexiel felt his entire being go from cold to burning hot. His inside all the way to his core was engulfed in a raging flame.

"How could you, how could you, how could any of you do this???

Father… father… FATHER!!!!"

Gordon hadn't missed any of alexiels reaction. being sure to turn his body at the right moment to ensure that Alexiel would only see the body of his proxy after he stood out of the way.

Now hearing these comments a new discovery was made.

"This ass hat is your father? oh me oh my, never would have guessed! Someone rumored to sit on the top seat of the city to have such a dog father! I guess tigers can be born from dogs boys hahahaha"

Gordon was very confident in himself. One of those darts could lay 20 elephants to their death without fail. Regardless of how powerful this mutant was in front of them, he was sure he would be able to take him out of this state tonight and leave these nobodies behind to ensure his escape from the vampires.
