After spending the night rotating, keeping watch and some breakdowns, everyone was eager to start the day. They decided to start by searching for a clearing in order to be safer as Theo wanted to experiment today with the magic of this world. As they walked through the woods, Ace and Trevor took over as they had experience with survival, tracking and hunting respectively.

When Ace was in charge, she would sprint through the woods in order to get explore the woods faster, on the other hand, when Trevor was in charge, he would listen to the animals cries and track in order to find a space which didn't have a lots of big wildlife as that would mean bad news if a predator was to challenge them for territory.

They arrived at a small hill near the center of the woods where there were little trees nearby the hilltop at sunset. They decided to rest for the night before starting their experiments in the early morning. Another lonely night passed for all four of them as they felt more alone every time they were on their own.

As they had all access to each other's memories, they knew everything about each other as they all had some kind of trust issues so they had snooped around, except for Ty who was just bored and liked how the memories played in a movie-like way.

They also had access to Caleb's memories; although he had not lived more than five years and his family hated him, he had received some kind of education and knew way more than they did about this world, so they were a precious piece of inside information on their situation.

Caleb's world had a different language that they should not be able to read or understand but as they shared Caleb's knowledge, they had the vocabulary of a five year old in this new world. Even though he was a "noble", his education was not at par with the nobles nor with the commoners.

They all trusted Theo's judgement when it came to scientific stuff so they decided to let him take over when it came to investigating stuff, however, if they were going to start practicing magic they had previously decided Ace would go first, then Trevor, then Ty and finally Theo as he wanted the most information before starting to learn magic.

๑Okay so the first step in my plan is to use the memories of Caleb's education in order to figure out what magic exists in this world๑

۶I really hope we are overpowered۶

◇Can you stop it with the overpowered Ken? (rolls mental eyes)◇

۶◯Ken?◯۶

๑You guys are slow, chic-ken๑

◇Wow, you're good dude, I like you◇

◯Focus guys, remember we need to learn how to control this, I am growing tired of seeing everything like glitter◯

◇Haha, only a gay prince would make a glitter reference◇

◯Oh you wanna go there? Huh?◯

◇Awww, you are so cute when trying to play tough prince, you might be a good hunter but you ain't a mercenary◇

๑Okay everyone shush it, let's just focus on the matter at hand๑

۶Movie time!۶

------------------------------------------------

Caleb was sitting in the middle of what looked like a classroom. It had one wooden table and a chair with a hay seat. There were no windows making the room dark and humid with the only light and heat source being a couple of candles around the room and a lamp in front of some wooden slabs where the information was written.

"Many years ago, the magic in the world was discovered,

The elements were ice, fire, water and earth,

There was air, lightning, shadow and light,

There was nature and toxic,

Humans learned to live with magic,

These humans were known as casters.

They had children and soon everyone was a caster.

Weak and common casters only control one element,

Uncommon and average casters control two to three,

Rare and semi-powerful casters control four to five,

Epic and powerful casters control six to seven,

Legendary and amazing casters control eight or nine,

No one controls more than nine.

Space is not an element."

Caleb had to memorize this peculiar poem of sorts and recite it to his parents before being allowed a meal, if he failed, he would have to go back to the basement, which was more like a prison, until he recited it once per day. At the end, he never failed and his parents added more challenges.

------------------------------------------------

Theo repeated the memory over ten times in order to memorize the poem, Ty got bored and was chatting with Trevor and as Ace was in control of the body she decided to step up and practice magic for the very first time.

Ace took a deep breath and closed their eyes, she felt how the magic all around them moved into their body every time she breathed and how her will extended over the elements around her, they knew Caleb only possessed fire magic so she tried conjuring up a flame.

Her heat moved around her body, concentrating into her now extended right hand, she kept her eyes closed as she felt her hand grow warmer and warmer until she felt the magic around them interacting with the magic inside them. She opened her eyes and saw a small flickering flame at the tip of her fingers.

She drew her hand closer to her in order to inspect the flame, she then moved her hand around and the flame didn't go out, it only kept growing until it now covered half of her fingers. She proceeded to concentrate the magical flames into a ball and move it forward slightly, however, a small fireball lunged out of her hand and struck a tree a couple of meters away setting it on fire.

The shock made her lose control of the body and then Trevor stepped forward. As Ace moved the magic around their body he felt a connection with another element which he knew was not fire. He stepped forward towards the flaming tree, extended his left hand, removing the heat and cooling the tree down until the fire died, however it did not stop there.

The temperature around the tree kept dropping until now only a frozen tree stood, it's leaves and trunk were literally made of ice. Trevor stepped closer as he touched the now ice tree. Although it was way colder than typical ice, he did not feel discomfort as it was his ice. Or their ice.

While all of this happened, they were having a huge mental discussion where Theo was impressed but also very disappointed for their recklessness but he was met with funny retorts from Ace who called him a hypocrite and replayed his death a thousand times, this only made Trevor and Theo mad as she was using his own experiences against him but he was also pissed at Theo.

Ty, on the other hand, had already taken over the body. He sat down on the ground, put his hands in the grass and moved the earth beneath to rise up to him. He then made it soft as clay and started shaping what seemed to be a vase of some type, while ignoring the mental discussion the rest were having.

When Theo realized Ty was playing like a little kid, he took control of Caleb's body and stepped underneath a tree, hoping to recreate the effects of Ace and Trevor in a more controlled manner. He then snapped his fingers and instead of ice or fire appearing, he melted into the shadow of the tree and into the ground. They were all dumbfounded as they now were part of a shadow network but had no idea how to get out of it.

At that moment, a beautiful dryad with hair made out of bright red leaves, a pine wood skin smooth to the touch and a changing dress made out of petals clapped her hands, shrinking the tree in which they were trapped. As the shadow became unable to contain them, they were expelled and fell on their knees before the gorgeous being now staring down at them with an angered expression.

Two humanoid figures with a rose for a face and a crown made of thorns, with a dress made out of leaves and vines were standing behind the dryad with their stem-like hands resting on their hips, or where their hips were supposed to be, in a condescending way.
