Chaos of the Siege

"Seems it's time, hopefully the enemy will be intimidated enough for them to surrender." Talion was at the front of his army, standing across the fortress, he'd been in a rush to form said army and worried him that he lacked the minimum amount to take over the fortress.

It took him approximately three hours to assemble this army of his, it was separated into squads of eight, with only ten squads being gathered, he could only hope the enemy orcs would join him once they lost.

He had no doubt at all at his success of taking Núrnen, he alone could probably take it over himself however probably doesn't mean surety, he could exhaust his powers and physical body which would lead to his defeat at the hands of the overlord or his warchiefs.

Celebrimbor had alerted him three hours prior about the very much nearing Alex Mercer, just reaching the outside of Núrn that surrounded the island just now, with just ten minutes ago almost reaching the shores of Núrnen.

Not to be confused by the two, Núrn being the region with Núrnen as the fortress situated in the middle of it, separated by a sea.

Now back to the present, the overlord right now was delivering a speech to lower the enemies' moral while strengthening his own, well those who understand black speech well enough anyway.

Most orcs that do not speak mostly in black speech would just trash talk the attackers' side about beating the shit out of them and dealing horrendous acts by human standards.

"Well, since we're in a rush, we should probably get going then." The gentlemanly, by orc's standards, Olog-hai, Brûz the Chopper.

"Let me at 'em!" A branded orc captain's excitement could not be contained as a toothy maniacal grin was directed at the stationed orcs in the fortress.

Talion grabbed the sword from his back and pointed towards the fortress, "Charge!" A ghostly shout was heard from him as the army charged at the walls.

*Boom* An explosion was heard that hit Talion's army, appearing the cause to be Siege beasts.

A bow appeared on Talion's hand as his sight sharpened, shooting four consecutive arrows towards a far target, causing one of the siege beasts to go down.

He was interrupted from dispatching the rest by an orc captain who shot him with his crossbow.

Talion ran at full speed and jumped high on the walls, climbed and jumped right on the walls while flipping right behind the captain who'd shot him.

The orc was just too late as a blade slashed right through his neck, releasing blood at Talion's face while the body fell down, to the ground below the walls.

The nearby orcs grew terrified and attacked him out of instinct.

One threw his spear at him, Talion simply deflected it upwards, used his freehand to grab it and directed it towards the orc's face.

Blood spilled from the orc hunter's face as a spear was stabbed right into it.

The other orcs threw down their weapons and climbed down the walls, terrified of the same happening to them.

Shortly after, he directed his bow at the other siege beasts, successfully dispatching the rest of them.

The walls collapsed from the constant attacks of Olog-hai, with orcs and Ologs flooding in.

Talion moved on with his next objective, taking the inner fortress, he didn't doubt his army to take the outer fortress since Brûz was with them, an Olog capable of taking down ovelords himself.

He jumped from building to building until he reached the walls separating the inner fortress and the outer.

Talion unsheathed the broken sword of his son and tackled an orc to the ground, pinning said orc down.

He stabbed repeatedly at the neck, stomach and finished with the head, completely brutalizing the orc crossbowman.

Brutalizing seems to affect the other orcs as they too ran away, trying to enter the fortress but was stopped by warchiefs who ended up brutalizing them themselves.

Talion jumped directly in the middle of their gathering, cold air emitting from him as a flash of blue covered them, turning them completely frozen.

A ghostly blue glaive appeared when he made it as if he was holding a pole.

He slashed at his proximity which slashed all the frozen captains, remaining warchiefs in half and the Ologs adjacent were sliced from their feet, disabled from using their feet anymore.

The remaining orcs saw this, all of them dropping their weapons with they themselves cowering before the host of the Bright lord.

Having completed his objective, the next comes into play.

He walked towards the gates of the fortress and opened it, with an ominous hallway heading towards the throne room showing.

He walked right in front of the overlord as the helmet on the overlord's shoulder shook.

"Ugh, this damn helmet is... heavy!" The helmet fell down on the floor as a familiar face from the first game showed.

Ratbag being the orc that was described, a weak orc imprisoned and tortured who was saved by Talion and in turn helped the gravewalker as he quickly climbed the ranks as Talion's spy.

The Olog being named after Talion, as Ranger.

Ranger speaking exclusively black speech had made it hard for Ratbag to understand what he would mean, the problem of communication made him name Ranger himself who in truth was named Az-Harto.

"Oh Ranger! I mean gravewalker, what a surprise!" Ratbag spoke in a happy tone.

"No time to speak, Ratbag. Get your soldiers to prepare a defense, something is coming."

"Huh? I guess I will then, well you heard him Ranger, let's go tell them." Ratbag looked back at Az-Harto who had spoken inconceivable noises which in truth was black speech.

The doors of the fortress were bursted open as a panting Brûz was spotted.

"Brûz..." A dirty look was given to him by Ratbag, which Brûz just ignored to speak to Talion at the matter at hand.

"Bright lord, there's some strange creatures attacking both us and the former enemy." Brûz reported, slightly terrified of these creatures.

He isn't quite terrified of anything but one of these types of creatures were about as big as a Graug and felt as if it is alot stronger.

"So it's already began." The ranger captain mumbled, "Order them all to gather at the inner fortress, we'll hold them off there."

"What in the bloody hell is happening, gravewalker?" Ratbag was quite confused on the matter, not yet encountering any type of infected since it is separated by a sea while the Blacklight virus was very much limited by it.

"There's a very powerful enemy we need to face, let us go quickly-" He was cut off by the sound of a drop.

"It seems you require my aid." A feminine voice spoke, an very much expected ally, she had been here in Núrnen hunting Nazgûl after all but had not yet yielded results, the feeling of evil having increased and yet no Nazgûl to be spotted.

It can easily be blamed to Zog the Eternal, Gorgoroth was very much busy with enemy occupation and had moved over to Núrnen to resume his researches of Necromancy, he couldn't resurrect Tar goroth without rousing the wrath of Annatar, so he traveled to Núrnen with a fake reason such as spying on the enemy fortress.

Not to say his acolytes wouldn't do the work themselves, it would be his safest bet and making it seem that the tracks don't reach him.

Unknown to him, Annatar knew.

If Tar goroth is risen once more, it's immediate execution of him.

Now back to the present once again.

"What's a filthy long ear maggot doin' 'ere?" Brûz questioned, very much rare to see an elf so deep in Mordor.

"That is none of your concern, we require her aid very much in order to combat that monster." Talion dismissed his question.

"Fine then, I'll go relay the message to 'em now." He ran outside, shouting at them the order he'd been given to deliver.

"Let us go ourselves now." Talion looked behind him and walked, opening the doors to encounter chaos.

Orcs and Ologs alike were running away, some standing their ground while a few Ologs fought the Brawlers.

Hydras were outside and inside the fortress, Juggernauts jumped from place to place to kill the fleeing Ologs while the infected orcs chased the orcs.

"That is far too many of them, we may not stand a chance." Talion looked on in horror, thinking that only infected orcs to appear, the Brawlers were much like Caragors but alot stronger so not as much as a problem as Juggernauts.

Those creatures were unknown to him however, he knew that those Juggernauts had very much sturdy arms, doubting his sword to be able to cut through them.

Those Hydras seem alot easier but were a nightmare for his soldiers, those creatures seem vulnerable to speed as him and Eltariel should be able to deal with them.

The most difficult part however, was not getting hit.

Those infected orcs are able to infect him with a virus, resulting into another monster like Mercer.

"I have advice for you all," Talion spoke in a determined tone. "Do not get hit or you'll become one of them." The others looked terrified, an enemy capable of dispatching them in one hit was an impossible opponent for them.

Their fighting styles were all centered around taking hits and dealing hits, not dodging, some were alot less terrified since theirs werr focused in dodging.

Most of them appeared to be hunters and crossbowmen while some warriors and a few defenders as well.

"Now then, guard the walls now!" Talion barked out.
