59 Chapter 59: Misunderstandings Aren't Always Comedy

(3rd person perspective)

Going back a few days, at the Shinomiya residence, a beautiful girl with black hair and red eyes was lying in a fetal position on her bed.

Her eyes lacked light, her face was stained with tears, and her throat was hoarse from constant crying.

Ever since the obese principal of the academy had signed an agreement with the Shinomiya family patriarch, Kaguya Shinomiya's life had turned miserable.

Gan'an Shinomiya gave Kaguya a warning, if she screwed up this business deal then Gan'an would force her to marry some random perverted old man, then he would make sure that her friends had even more tragic endings.

Gan'an warned her that he already knew about her new friends, Chika Fujiwara, Miyuki Shirogane, and Yu Ishigami.

If Kaguya did anything again that could damage her business deal with Satou Yamada, then Gan'an would ruin the lives of the student council members and make sure they knew their lives were miserable because of Kaguya so they would hate her the rest of their short lives.

Gan'an described in detail how he would ruin the lives of the Fujiwara, Shirogane, and Inshigami families, then when they are all sunk in misery and despair, he would make sure to eradicate them completely without leaving a single body to be entombed.

Kaguya was terrified by her father's words since she knew that Gan'an was a demon in human skin, if he said that he would kill a whole family of innocent people then it was not just a false warning, after all, the base of the Shinomiya family was built with corpses and blood.

What struck Kaguya the most was the ironic comment from her father.

"Even so I got a good partner, that man acts like an idiot, but he is as calculating as me, while you and your stupid friends were looking for how to make him lose his academy, he already had in his hands the youngest daughter of the Shirogane family and then he looked for me even knowing that you are a stupid girl who tried to go against him. Using this type of psychological pressure against a group of stupid teenagers may seem excessive, but I like this way of doing things"

The words of her father made Kaguya realize that all the time she and her friends were in the palm of the principal, he was just waiting for the opportunity to destroy their hopes in the cruelest way, snatching the people they loved.

Kaguya rationalized the whole situation and the more she thought about it the more she was scared and desperate she felt.

The principal was acting like a perverted idiot, no one in their right mind could consider that kind of man a real threat so it was easy to underestimate him, and when people trusted each other and felt that everything was fine, the principal would show his full fangs of poison and despair.

Kaguya had accepted the situation and gave up all hope, her only wish was to get her best friend Ai Hayakasa back and if it was not possible to save her, she would accompany her to the depths of hell.

Kaguya went to the academy and on the first day of school, she was able to calm the fear in her heart by seeing her best friend, Ai Hayasaka.

Kaguya and Ai had a private conversation where Ai told him that the principal was not as bad of a man as everyone imagined, and although he was a debauched pervert, he was in the range of acceptable without being a vicious criminal.

Kaguya felt strange since Ai had never spoken well of a man, not even Miyuki Shirogane for whom Kaguya had developed romantic feelings.

What worried Kaguya the most is that Ai was normally a reserved and neat girl, but this time she spoke about issues related to relationships between men and women in a reproductive sense, and most worryingly, she constantly mentioned that Satou Yamada was a pervert pedophile, but that he made the best food in the world and that somehow he had a pleasant smell.

Kaguya tried not to think about it too much as she was disturbed by seeing her best friend talk about the obese principal of the academy while her cheeks were flushing.

Kaguya tried to listen to Ai and she thought that the principal might actually be a good man who wanted to help them.

Later Kaguya saw the director give his speech, his words moved her since she had fallen in love with a boy from a poor family who always strived for the better, but when Kaguya thought about the director's words, she felt fear, a fear without form or name that was deeper than the fear she felt towards her own father.

Kaguya recalled the incident at the Shinomiya residence, the principal mentioned that an untapped talent was a useless talent.

Kaguya had not understood those words at that time but now she understood, it was a warning, the principal told her that if she was disobedient then she was useless and should be discarded, something that Gan'an easily understood what caused Ai's sacrifice.

It was this that terrified Kaguya as an intelligent and insightful girl like Ai Hayasaka was totally fooled by the principal's act of a kind man.

Gan'an Shinomiya was a hungry wolf who terrified the sheep with his mere existence, with him, you were always alert since at any moment he could bite your neck and devour you without leaving your bones.

Satou Yamada was a mosquito, he looked weak and pathetic as if you could squash him without problems, but a single bite could destroy your body with all kinds of diseases and bacteria.

Kaguya understood, if she fought then her friends would suffer from her, the best example was Kei Shirogane who was now owned by the principal as a form of punishment towards Miyuki Shirogane.

Lately, Miyuki has been distant, worried, and stressed due to worry about what was happening to his sister, this is something that Kaguya knew, but she could not talk to Miyuki since if she did, Ai Hayasaka would be in danger.

Kaguya realized that a move by the principal had isolated Kaguya from her friends. She no longer had allies and if she sought help then she would be to blame for the suffering of her friends.

Kaguya had looked for the opportunity to speak with the principal, but he was busy so she could only speak to his new assistant, a beautiful woman named Kiara who gave a nice and motherly feeling.

Kaguya tried to talk to the woman to arrange a meeting with the principal, but it was then that she discovered that the principal was not the only danger, the people around him are also monsters in sheep's clothing.

Kiara spoke privately with Kaguya, it would be better to say that Kiara mocked and verbally humiliated Kaguya completely.

Kaguya endured it, she did her best not to sob and endured what only served to amuse Kiara.

After an hour of psychological torture, Kiara offered a deal, Kaguya would be her puppet and Kiara would talk to the principal to keep Ai safe.

Kaguya didn't trust the sadistic woman, but she didn't have any options either, Kiara had become her last hope to protect her best friend.

To increase Kaguya's despair, Kiara did not hide what she actually was, a demon.

Kaguya signed a contract with the devil, she did it to protect her friends, she no longer cared about giving up her freedom, her dignity, or her life.

This is how Kaguya Shinomiya stopped being a 'someone' and became a 'something'.

(Perspective Satou Yamada)

"And then this adorable creature sought me out to make a deal, you will not rape Ai Hayasaka and in return, this adorable silly girl will be your slave" - Kiara smiled like a child waiting for the praise of her father.

I rubbed my forehead wearily. - "Did you explain that I am not going to lay my hands on Hayasaka and that she is just a cleaning maid?"

"I did" - Kiara shrugged. - "This girl does not listen, she has the idea that you are a lolicon rapist"

I looked at Kaguya who was still naked and kneeling on the ground.

"Get dressed and sit down, we have to talk" - I sighed and tried not to look at her naked body.

Even if Kaguya lacks the feminine charm of Lala or Hayasaka, her slim waist, fair skin, and her pretty butt are making me get a boner. The sex I had with Olga was not enough so I am getting turned on more easily, which is a big problem.

Kaguya stood up and without showing the slightest emotion she dressed again with rigid and mechanical movements as if she was not thinking and was just moving.

"Did you do something to her mind?" - I frowned when I saw Kaguya's behavior.

"Nope~" - Kiara smiled innocently.

I narrowed my eyes. - "You are telling the truth?"

"Don't you trust me?" - Kiara pouted sadly.

"I don't know what you were trying to do just now, but you used mind magic to affect everyone in the room" - I couldn't hide the anger in my voice.

"I just made everyone relax as the atmosphere was tense" - Kiara showed an aggrieved expression. - "I only live to help you and make you happy"

I didn't buy into her act of being a complacent wife. - "What is that deal that Kotegawa spoke of?"

"..." - Kiara smiled awkwardly. - "Well about that ... It's not something you should worry about ..."

"Kiara" - My voice was sharp.

"It's okay, it's okay, don't look at me like that or I'll cry" - Kiara raised her hands in surrender. - "That girl made a deal with me, she could take over the group of perverted idiots to protect the boy she likes and in return, she will have to fulfill a favor that I ask of her"

…. Shit, that's a doujin's argument.

"Was it a verbal agreement?" - I sighed wishing that Kotegawa did not have the bad luck of having signed a deal with a high-level demon.

Kiara smiled and reached into her jacket pocket to pull out a torn piece of paper.

On the paper it was written: "I, Kotegawa Yui, promise to do Professor Kiara a favor when she asks."

"That cute and silly girl thought that this was an indirect way of helping her, I love the stupidity of people who have not experienced the taste of despair, that pathetic innocence that comes from the lack of suffering has a sweet taste that becomes bitter when it turns into suffering and despair~" - Kiara started panting with flushed cheeks. - "It's like tasting a delicious wine that is left to age to increase its flavor ~"

Contrary to popular belief, there are very few demons that can feed on emotions since the energy of emotions is not only unstable, it can influence the minds of those who consume them, so if a demon eats many emotions carelessly, that demon can lose his personality and become another person or in more extreme cases, their minds can break becoming empty shells.

Kiara is one of the few exceptions that can eat emotions without receiving side effects, but the problem is that she almost does not like sweet tastes and prefers bitter tastes, which is why she does not like to eat 'happiness' and her snack favorite is 'despair'.

"I'm glad you enjoy your new snacks" - I gestured to Anida to serve me another cup of tea and cookies, my heart needs sugar to heal. - "Since I won't cook your favorite food or have sex with you for a week."

Kiara froze as all traces of life disappeared from her eyes.

I ignored Kiara who had turned into a statue and looked at Kaguya who was looking at me blankly.

I sighed and took out my phone to text Kyoko asking her to send Hayasaka to my office.

"Would you believe me if I told you that I'm not a bad man?" - I smiled wryly.

"I will, whatever you say I will believe it" - Kaguya nodded expressionlessly.

This is starting to scare me, in a horror movie she would be the emo girl who keeps quiet and then takes a knife to stab everyone in the room.

"Look, here we have a misunderstanding" - I tried to sound as nice as I could. - "I don't want to hurt you, on the contrary, my greatest wish is to help you and your friends"

"I understand, I am eternally grateful for your generosity" - Kaguya showed a smile that was as fake as the internet advertising of single mothers near your area.

I let out a deep sigh and chose to keep quiet until Hayasaka comes as Kaguya won't trust me, but maybe she can believe in her best friend.

After several minutes of awkward silence, someone knocked on the door so I nodded towards Anida to open it.

"Do you need something from my principal?" - Hayasaka walked into my office while she spoke with a respectful voice like a good student, at least in public she acts as she respects me instead of insulting me every time she gets the chance.

"Didn't you talk to Kaguya?" - I sighed as I pointed to the expressionless Kaguya who showed no reaction even though her best friend was here.

Hayasaka looked at Kaguya in confusion. - "Did something happen Kaguya? Are you fine?"

Kaguya was still but her small body had started to tremble.

Hayasaka seemed to notice something that I couldn't see so she approached Kaguya and hugged her affectionately. - "It's fine, everything is fine"

Kaguya pressed her face to Hayasaka's chest and I think she had started crying.

As the two friends hugged I looked at Kiara. - "You and I will talk later"

Kiara had a wry smile as her face was still slightly pale, even if I don't like seeing her suffer from it I can't allow her to continue hurting my students.

Being a responsible man sucks, I want to go home to watch anime and forget about my problems.

Author's Note:

A few weeks ago I caught up with the novel Kage no Jitsuryokusha and Naritakute, and I started to think, "What if I do a villain based on misunderstandings? It could be something funny" ... And well, I ended up doing drama.

Anyway, a hug <3
