"There were a few updates in the Lycan Kingdom, and I was pretty certain it would interest you," Maximilian began after Eve had finished her bath. He sat by the window, enjoying calming tea in the middle of the night.

"What is it?" Eve asked.

"We found traces of the blood witches inside the Empire itself. It seems they are searching for something," he got up and then pulled her towards another chair. "Let me dry your hair," Maximilian said. "You are not allowed to use magic."

Eve smiled at that. In fact, she always relied on magic to dry her hair to save time. Why would she sit down there and wait for Trinity to dry her hair when she could do it in the blink of an eye?

In the past, Eve was so used to using magic for menial things, and it seemed that she had once again fallen into this habit.

She could only hand the towel to Max as he stood behind her.

"Do you think they are looking for the tome?" she asked.

"The possibility is high."
