67 Detention

"This is not going to work," Ophelia paced back and forth in her study, her hand rubbing her chin in frustration. "We need to come up with a new plan. Right now, the Prince must already have a negative opinion of you because of what happened. We need to change our approach."

"I didn't think it would be such a big deal," Eve said casually from her seat, not fully grasping the gravity of the situation.

"Not a big deal?" Ophelia stopped in her tracks, her eyes fixed on Eve. "As a Princess, you are expected to show empathy. Even if you were wounded and couldn't save that woman, you should have at least made an effort."

"I didn't intend to save the woman," Eve admitted honestly. "It wasn't part of the rules, plain and simple. Besides, I was losing too much blood, and saving her didn't cross my mind."

"You..." Ophelia began, clearly taken aback by Eve's lack of concern. "The Prince is not someone to be underestimated."
