To her surprise, however, the Prince only responded with a chuckle.
"You see…" Prince Maximilian's lips lifted into an enchanting smirk. "If any of your women were responsible for killing something that belongs to me, you would have paid with your life long before you even set foot in this mansion."

"You can either back off or risk not making it through the night alive," Max continued.
"Your Highness, I do not think this is necessary," Lucius appeared next to Maximilian. "Is it necessary to ruin your day just because of a woman?"
Despite his seemingly friendly tone, Eve was well aware of Lucius' manipulative nature. He would not intervene if he was not plotting something.
