A Demon's Curse
Eve's expression shifted. Only the most powerful demons possessed the ability to morph into human form!
"Oh?" The man simply smirked in response. "It appears that you're not as simple as you seem…" He trailed off. Eve could hardly react before he vanished from his position. Mirroring his action, she, too, disappeared, only to reappear several meters away. Just as she anticipated, the man reemerged the moment she vacated her previous spot.
Eve's eyes narrowed. This wasn't her first encounter with a demon capable of taking on a human form. However, it was the first time she faced such a creature alone.
It was common knowledge that demons capable of transformation were already significantly powerful. Battling against them could be tremendously challenging.
"I've never come across someone who could evade me so..." The man was still smiling. "It was rumored that the sorcerer Evelynn Rosetta is already dead…" the demon mumbled.
